My Place Bar & Grill - McHenry IL

I brought my mom here today and we both had Reshmi Curry with Eggplant-She had it with the chickpea noodles and I had it with rice. They were absolutely delicious, savory meals. We both cleaned our plates. And I’m a child-sized person, so that’s saying something.

I certainly can’t complain about the service or the price either. I was also happy to find a restaurant that didn’t have any steps, since my mom uses a walker.

Specialty Corned Beef and Cabbage for St. Patty's Day with an Indian Curry twist!! Absolutely 💯 recommend on holidays and any day!!! Appetizers and the whole menu, super delicious!!!

Someone recommended me this place! And The food i had was amazing! curry's bold flavors elevated the dish, the pasta with the curry sauce was pretty good, i would recommend this place if you are food lover like me.

Just ate here a few hours ago. The escargot and both of our chicken Tikka curry was phenomenal!!

Update. Currently sitting here with my best friend. We got escargot and we both got butter chicken with the upgraded cilantro egg bread. It was all so good. Even better than the first time I came here 11 months ago!

Delish! Traditional Indian food with twists that compliment the food.
This is the most flavorful tikka masala ( paneer and pea) I have ever had. The dish comes with naan and rice. My children enjoyed all the dishes (chicken tikka masala & my way sizzler - chicken). My child liked the way he seasoned the beets, and that alone is a win!

The atmosphere is interesting , as described in the name - it’s a bar.

The owner was the one who took our order and you could tell he takes pride in his food, ingredients and establishment.

The sad part is, we didn’t have left overs. It’s delicious but a bit pricey..

First time back in a long time. Expecting American food. Well we're we surprised. We ate Indian today and heck was it good. Yummy!!! And finally something different in town 😀 and Casey was working the bar and tables like a charm. Great job!!

Very delicious. This place is restaurant quality and very creative while still offering a full bar.

My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight. So delicious! I had the curry pasta with vindaloo sauce and steak. My husband had the burger with kabab spices.
We also had the veggie pankora for an appetizer and both the tamarind chutney and cilantro mint chutney were good but the cilantro mint one was the best!

I would highly recommend this place! The man behind the bar whom I assume was the owner was super friendly and helpful!

TVs and Beer abound as you enjoy this beautifully quaint Indian Fusion joint right off Rte 120.

From your American burgers, traditional Indian cuisine, and every fusion in between, there's a DELICIOUS entree for everybody! (I personally recommend the loaded tater tots).

Great place to grab a bite and a nice cold beer. I will definitely be back.

As someone with celiac, I have NEVER had the chef personally come out to my table and discuss what I could and couldn't have, UNTIL My Place. The head chef/ Owner came out and walked me through the menu, and prepared special Naan bread for me. This level of care made the experience THAT much better. The food was AMAZING! My party all ordered the My Place curry. We all had orders of chicken as well. We ordered Tikka Masala (mild and spicy) butter chicken! We had Escargot as an appetizer and it was wonderful!

The food here is absolutely delightful. 💯 very happy with the curry and the rolls. The owner was very kind and takes his food seriously. Must place to eat for Indian food in McHenry.

That being said, the bar offers everything you need to make the drink you want. Very excited to return over and over again.

To die for Escargot...sizzling shrimp was so flavorful....if you appreciate unique plates...they offer them here...authentic Indian Curry....also regular food.

Ordered the my way curry tikka with chicken and it was amazing! Also tried the my way curry vindaloo with steak. Loved both meals! Was my first time trying this type of food and definitely will be eating here more often!!

The food was amazing! Be cautious because “hot” is hot and fire will be legit “fire”, just like actual India food. Will be ordering again and again!

Was looking for good Indian food in Mchenry since we moved here in 2020 and was surprised when I tried searching again and found this place.

Ordered carry out for the first time tonight and got the Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic bread. I ordered the mild which was perfect for my taste.

Was excellent. Will definitely ordering from here again.

As a bonus the bartender was a very friendly guy.

First time out in a while and came for karaoke. James was our bartender and kept the night flowing. With the reasonable drink prices and good selection of tequila. For a first time customer amongst a bar of regulars, I felt welcome and part of the family. Tommy the karaoke host was beyond spectacular. This place has a cloned version of Adele and the wagu version of stained. Not to mention the resurrected Nirvana loaded up on filling drink orders and making you feel like you haven't sinned today. Come here you'll love it.
