Always a great hunt at Des Plaines SFWA. LOTS of space to spread out, birds everywhere. Easy to access and sign up, and IDNR does a good job of managing this precious resource so close to so many of us hunters. Please support thus program when you have a chance.

Great spot to go fishing and just spend time with loved ones, enjoy nature, go for a nice long walk. There’s a playground there, picnic area, and rest rooms.

Jeff, and the folks that work @ Des Plaines SFWA provide a GREAT place to enjoy the outdoors - dog training, AKC Hunt Tests, archery & trap ranges, and the CPHA. There's ALOT more that this area provides for outdoor enthusiasts, other than those mentioned above - SO CHECK 'EM OUT😃👍‼

@ least 7 of the above pictures are from Silver Springs SP! That's also a nice hunting area, but THOSE pics don't belong HERE‼

Des Plaines State Fish and Wildlife area has the largest public controlled pheasant hunting program in the State of Illinois. Also offered are public boat launches, hiking, fishing, two hand trap ranges, an archery range, spring and fall trout seasons and a variety of different game hunting seasons. Conveniently located next to I-55 in the city of Wilmington. Prairie, timber, marsh, backwaters and sand.
