Super cute little restaurant with excellent food. Perfect for takeout. They offer a hybrid service level (no table waiters) but will take your order at your table if they can, otherwise order at the counter. Can’t wait to see what they do with the outside this summer!

Stopped at this popular, local restaurant while on a business trip. The owner told me they were a food truck that upgraded to a restaurant. I had the fried tofu appetizer followed by the eggplant chicken. The colors popped on the plate.

Every time we get Thai Town it gets better, though it always was great to begin with! The meat and vegetables are always fresh and of great quality. The spice is perfectly on point. I've always been a red curry with chicken kind of person but I've even ventured outside my normal order because the TV they have behind the register shows dishes that look too good to pass up. We have family that lives in Port Byron and I try to get Thai Town every time we're up that way. I will not go to any other Thai restaurant in the Quad Cities in the future because none of them come close to the quality of Thai Town.

Grand Opening Monday August 8th 2022. What a local gem! Authentic Thai cuisine prepared with care and presentedbeautifully!!! If you love spicy you can certainly get that here if you ask, otherwise great middle ground in herbs and seasonings. Our food was hot and great portion sizes. The dining is outfitted with authentic Thai wood workings. Beautiful lighting in front of the building were imported from Thailand and are a great touch. Hopefully the support is out there for high quality authentic Thai cuisine, I believe it is. Thai Town Cafe should have a long, successful tenure. Well done to the owners and staff at Thai Town Cafe, your pride in doing a great job is showing. KUDOS!!!

It had been slightly difficult to find it out but due to the reviews and rating, we decided to call and found the place. (It is back of TSR Bank)

We had a delicious food here on our way from Iowa to Chicago.
Combo fried rice (with chicken and shrimp ) is what my wife liked verymuch.
We also loved Chicken Basil fried rice, Curry noodles. Should be a good try, when you like authentic Thai food.

We stopped in today for the first time. Place is very nice inside. Very clean. The woodwork of their booth's was beautiful. We ordered Mama Shrimp for my father in law. My wife ordered Pad Kee Mao. I ordered Gra Paaw Kai. We also ordered crab rangoon and fried dumplings. The food was fantastic. A lot of flavor. Some of the best if not the best Crab Rangoons we have ever had. We will definitely be back and ive already told many of my friends about this place.

Best way to describe this place and our experience at Thai Town Cafe?

Home Away From Home. Or, in other words, a staycation with a destination of flavors.

After hearing WONDERFUL stories from local Quad Citians about this special spot, I had to convince my hubby to have our little family check it out, especially with the weather being as nice as it was this evening.

Sure, we had a drive to make, but, in all honesty, it couldn't have been more gorgeous, as my hubby came from rich Iowan country-farm roots and there was green as far as the eye could see.

Anxious to reach our destination, we weren't completely sure if we made it to the right place, but once we noticed the line of cars parked outside the residential home and the near 'famous' blue food truck stand, we knew we were in the right place.

Knowing what I typically order at Thai restaurants was what I intended to get, Pad Kee Mao was on the menu, as long with a sampling of appetizers, Garlic Pepper Beef for my husband, and a couple of soda cans - cause who doesn't drink orange soda when eating Asian food, am I right? Perfect combo.

Having a waiting period of over an hour to receive our food, we saw the situation as a great opportunity to kick back, relax, soak up some sun, and take advantage of the restaurants' unique venue space. Rustic, homey, we felt like we were at a friend's backyard, similar to an outdoor potluck or barbecue. Had plenty of seating, spaced enough away from other tables for social distancing purposes, and yet...flexible enough for improvisation, with a big yard space to enjoy and use to one's discretion.

Also wanted to note, if you have a child of any age, you know how difficult it is to bring them into any restaurant, no matter how well-behaved they can be at a table. You might also know how difficult it is to keep them preoccupied and happy, no matter how many books, toys, snacks, and weird faces you might bring with you to your dinner table, especially when you are told you have to wait...an hour. Well, folks. This is the place for you! Plenty of yard space to run around, a playset to use, and simple but fun toys available to play with. Now, I'm not saying you shouldn't bring your own set of items to bring for your littles to play with, if and when you have a wait if you get here, especially for sanitary purposes, but this place is super family-friendly, evident from the owner and staff members' dispositions upon our arrival, duration of our dining/waiting experience, and departure.

Oh, and did I forget to mention the food? SO good, and definitely worth the wait. Sure, we have some pretty good Thai restaurants close to where we live, but this place is something extra special. Following the words of the restaurant's slogan, "Love to Cook, Cook to Live," at Thai Town Cafe, the food is truly made with love and you can taste it. With a menu of a variety of different mouthwatering selections, I am looking forward to our next visit so I can try more items with my family, and next time, we might just have to bring others with us next time to give the place a try. Definitely a gem of a find! And a gem this good makes sense that it has an hour wait to get food! It IS worth the wait.

Travel for the food. Stay for the experience.

Cheers!

On my way home to chicago from Iowa got a craving for Asian food and came across this on google maps. Was well reviewed and the reviews were on point. This place is a hidden gem and I’m glad we stopped. Had the pangang curry and spring rolls. 10/10 would recommend. Fresh and delicious ingredients. Packed full of flavor. Cute ambiance too!

My best friend and I went here because it was close to home and I was looking for a good Pad Thai in the area. They didn't disappoint and now it's our go to spot when he's in town. Every new thing I try there is even better than the last, the environment is quaint and clean, the people are very nice, and it's just a very wholesome restaurant experience where you can tell the food is made with love. I never leave Google reviews but I adore this place and can't recommend it enough.

In town for work for a few days and found this gem on the second to last day so I was only able to dine here twice but if I lived near here they would have me on their Christmas card list. ❤

My husband and I stopped here before heading back home to Milwaukee. The owner was super sweet and the food was amazing! The Thai Tea was nice and strong which I loved. It's really a little gem to have in Rapid City. If you are in the area, definitely stop by!

Our first experience and the food is/was amazing! I just wish silverware was included because we had it delivered to Erie, IL with a group order. The word is spreading and we’re are working on getting a weekly delivery for several couples. Ty!

I’m from Knoxville, TN visiting my family in Cordova and I was elated to see that there was a Thai restaurant just down the road. It’s super tasty and you can easily tell it’s clean eating too. It’s not filled with a bunch of sugar or super processed food. Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing some authentic food to the area!

The small restaurant's quaint interior has a real Thai vibe. You can tell the proprietors have of love for Thailand. Great menu. Everyone in our party had great things to say about this place. Definately making this a regular stop.
