Had a great time at Public Landing - I cannot say enough about the service we had here. It was amazing and better than expected; all staff went above and beyond in assuring that we had a wonderful time. We were there for a brunch baby shower. Food was very good and the mimosas were delicious, with our server making sure everyone's glasses were always filled. I would definitely come back if we had another event.

Love this place. I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant. Everyone, from greater to server, to support, to bar, to kitchen, are invested in your enjoyment. And they work hard to succeed: and in my experience they do succeed.

The food is extraordinary! The service is impeccable! Atmosphere is an A+. Beautiful view! Wonderful people! I wish it had better parking, but that is not always possible when you're dealing with historic sites! All in All...LOVE THIS PLACE!!

I come here very regularly. Food and service never fails to impress. Very friendly staff & awesome location. Would recommend to anyone to come check out. We recently hosted my great grandmother's 95th birthday here. Dan was very accommodating and great to our family.

Very nice ambiance, inside and out. We went during Covid and sat outside. I enjoyed their Robertson wine (Sweet red). I ordered the meatloaf and it was delicious!! My boyfriend got the Lake Perch which was good but he loved my dish more. :) We shared the apple strudel topped with a scoop of ice cream for dessert and it was delicious too. The staff was very nice and attentive. Our waiter was friendly and fun. It was a great experience overall.

That was the most tender chicken I’ve ever had. The taste was amazing. The staff was very nice and seemed happy. Definitely would recommend. It’s pricey but worth it.

I've been eating here for years, it has undergone multiple changes but the lovely setting remains the same.
I was not here during the entire pandemic so it was great to be back. My friend and I love to meet here. She had the vegetable stir fry and I had the chicken tacos. I asked if they were spicy ahead of time, was assured they were not and sure enough, they were not. I am a total wimp when it comes to spice so I was thrilled to be given an honest appraisal of the heat. I've gotten so many bum steers that I was really delighted with the fabulous variety of tastes and textures.
For dessert we both had the peach cobbler. It was outstanding, make sure you get your own. Trust me on this, not a shareable size and once you taste it, you won't want to.
Great service and the patio is magnificent.

Rustic atmosphere and great food. We took a stroll through the little I & M canal museum, which is in the same building, before settling down for our meal. The lobster bisque was excellent as was our meal of crab stuffed whitefish. The portions are large including the delicious desserts. The only con would be that the tables seemed a little close in some areas. We took a walk out to the bridge afterwards to enjoy the snowy outdoors. We will definitely be back.

Just a wonderful place for lunch or dinner! Outside dining is still available and it has a lovely atmosphere. My friend and I had walked part of the I & M canal walk so we were in shorts and t shirts. Most people were dressed more in business casual, but to the credit of the dining staff we were seated in a lovely spot. The small museum inside the Public Landing building was a great and wonderful read about the history of the Lockport area and Joliet.

The moment I walked in I felt warm vibes about this place. It is a really nice place to dine or have a gathering. I was attending a shower and enjoyed the visit. The gardens were in full bloom and very pretty.

Delicious freshly made dishes. The perch had a light crispy coating and there was plenty of it. Our waitress was outstanding.

The Illinois Woman's Press Association held their annual awards luncheon there for the 2nd year. The staff was great and polite. The food was delicious. The baked chicken with mashed potatoes along with the pretzel bread was a good choice for the luncheon. We added the beef with peppers which was a hit.

Nice atmosphere where you can eat outside with a nice breeze from the river with plenty of shade or eat inside with a quaint dining room experience. Great spot for lunch or special dinner
They host wedding receptions there also. Great place for outdoor photos for events.

Love love love this place. Went with the hubby to get the best crab cakes anywhere ever only to be disappointed they changed the recipe. Please bring back the crab cakes with the corn salsa! I used to tell EVERYONE about the landings crab cakes. Still good but NOT the same. 😢
