Bradbury Mountain State Park

It's one of my kids favorite spots to hike and play. It's a perfect starter hike for little people because it's a short trip to the summit - we did short trails when they were two-years-old and worked our way up to longer adventures. The playground is always terrific motivation to keep them motivated.

Sooooo….this was great! It’s busy because it’s very popular. There are several trail options. Two of them get you to the top with about a 15 minute walk. The views are lovely from the bald surface of granite. When we went in October, the leaves made the view even better. I highly recommend this. The drive to get there is lovely too.

Great family outdoor experience! Bradbury Mountain State Park has many trails of various degrees of difficulty.

Great for hiking or mountain biking. The mountain bike trails across the road are great and never too crowded. Knights Woods to Fox East and then the Ginn trail is a favorite. You have to work to get back there but we’ll worth it.
Hiking to the summit by taking the steep trail up - Summit Trail and the Northern Loop trail down is easy with kids. A little bit of work for a great view.

Great day spot for short hikes. We did three trails- short and pretty. Beautiful view from the summit- which you can take the shortcut up and a little longer back. Make sure to cross the street and check out trails in the campground itself.

A quick hike to a beautiful granite summit, a perfect spot for a surprise proposal! Close to Freeport! Bring bug spray and plan on hiking close to dawn or sunset to avoid crowds.

i like this mountain because it has a park and it also has a beautiful view at the top of the mountain. and i also like that in the fall, the tree leaves are beautiful.

We had a great hike at Bradbury Mountain state park. We took the Northern Loop up to the scenic point ⛰
Not too difficult also had a doggo with us 🐶🦴

Loved it!!! Will be making numerous trips! Well marked and clean trails. It is easy to access. There is a large play area for kids and plenty of picnic tables for families to eat or rest at. There is also plenty of open lawn area for picnic or hanging out with family and friends. $4.00 per adult and $1.00 per child under 12.

Beautiful hike and views. Low traffic but alot of people enjoying the mountain.

Love this park. The summit trail is a nice short 15-ish minute hike and is great for young hikers who can't do a whole mountain yet. The other trails are great as well and give you longer pathes to follow.

About 29 minute walk from the campsite is berry picking, great place!

This place is beautiful, and has many hiking loops, all between .3 and 2.4mi in length. The summit is a really short hike, but the views are amazing. We had it to ourselves. We came too early to see much foliage, but I can imagine in a week or 2 it will be exploding with color! $6 to park! Only complaint is that there aren't more trails!

My husband and I loved Bradbury Mountain State Park it was equipped with some well thought of amenities like a kitchen sink, coffee maker, Microwave, a phone charger just bring your adapter. The amenities even include ice cream, snacks that can be purchased for an affordable price! Dallas the campground Host is fabulous and super friendly & professional. We felt very safe as there were park rangers on the campground site daily and their ranger’s office was located across the street. We will definitely return:)
The restrooms & showers were very clean and sanitized daily.

We are so excited for year #3 at this state park. We are avid campers and camp across North America this campground stands above them all. Chris, Dallas, Corey, Zach, Elenor, & Logan - Mackenzie will be missed are like family to us. You all have made our camping experience at Bradbury through all the highs and lows truly phenomenal.

The facilities are clean, the showers are hot, there are so many trails near to the campground. Bradbury is conveniently located to Freeport - for all you EV drivers the proximity to charging is very helpful. It’s a beautiful location close to Southern Maine. It’s rustic and charming. We are tenters (tried RVing but really enjoy the tranquility of the tenting). The lack of electricity helps ensure that the focus of your stay at Bradbury is around the natural beauty of this wonderful state park. They also offer Glamping for anyone that wants something more than the basic tent sites. I would recommend this state park to anyone it’s awesome and the people that host, work, and maintain this location are what makes it truly special. We loved this park. They had an outdoor community kitchen area that was so hospitable. There was a book lending library, microwave, sink with soap and sponges, coffee maker with coffee and things needed. The bathroom, although pit toilets, we're so clean and didn't smell bad at all. I would highly recommend this campground.

Beautiful view from top...what "old chiefs" call "a Good Spirit Place"...not too strenuous to top but a nice workout...pretty woods at top and at base...love the smell of pines some areas at times of year... beautiful Autumn foliage...

A wonderful park for an easy walk or a short climb, all year round.The trails are well marked and you can grab a trail map at the entrance. Nice picnic facilities and very dog friendly. There is a playground for kids. Everyone was observing good Covid protocols during my visit, with masks and distancing between groups.

This park is beautiful. Outhouse type toilets, but area is kept clean. Nice big modern showers. Also a little lean to with a sink, microwave, cold waters (on honor system to pay). Our campsite is neat and pretty level with picnic table and fire ring. Paths are very neat and easy to travel.

Great state park, parking is a $6 fee, but well worth it. Park is open year round for hiking or cross country skiing. Good views and bird watching from the summit. There are a variety of trails, some more difficult and steep and others that take a longer and easier route to the summit. Highly recommend!
