My girlfriend and I went here by recommendation and it did not disappoint. We are from New York and always look forward to finding nice spots with outdoor seating and of course great seafood. This place hit that mark. The outdoor area had a lovely view of the port. We got a couple of cocktails, fried oysters, shrimp and corn chowder, and the lobster rolls. Everything was delicious. The fried oysters were light and crispy and we could have eaten another round. If you are within 30 mins of Port Clyde go here!

Decent place. The service is perfunctory but the food is very good and the location is unmatched.
The fish in the haddock sandwich is extremely tender.
The fried cheese curds are awfully good but - weirdly - they're even better after 45 seconds in the microwave.

I had a blackened headache sandwich with sweet potato fries the wait staff was awesome and it's always nice to be down on the coast food was great. How was the Allagash White beer.

Absolutely one of our favorite places! Everyone is incredibly nice. Excellent food and great location. If the wait is long, bring a table cloth and set up on the neighboring dock. Love this place. Can't wait to come back next year. Be safe! Sorry for the duplicate sandwich photos. Fried haddock sandwich was legit!

I’ve eaten at this place for decades during my summer trips to Maine. It’s been through a number of owners—some better than others—and right now the menu and service is great. I love how they let you tailor your lobster rolls (naked, light Mayo, butter only, etc) and their Caesar salad is also a fave. Watch out for times right after the Monhegan boat returns because there’s usually a big crowd lining up to eat.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who previously lived in the area. SOOO GLAD WE WENT THERE!! There was a bit of a wait, but eateries are in tough shape re help right now. That being said, we had great service and the food was DELISH!! We had lobster rolls ( lots of meat...the lightly heated and grilled rolls were fantastic!), fish tacos and crab cakes..YUM!! And of course the view is the best. Parking can be a problem, but I say GO FOR IT!! LOVED OUR MEAL!!

If you want the essence of Coastal Maine this is for you. Excellent seafood choices and some great non-seafood food choices. Everything is prepared perfectly and very fresh. The wait staff is attentive during this trying time. Get there early to be seated. And the view is the bay from the dock which is where you will be seated.

Casual atmosphere with picnic table seating. Good tunes and friendly, fun staff. Excellent pan seared scallops....tender and lightly seasoned. Perfection! Haddock tacos are yummy, too!

Cannot beat this location on a sunny day overlooking Port Clyde’s active harbor. Good food on picnic tables. Service is good but often busy.

My wife and I reserved the Dip Net for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Throughout the entire process, they were communicative, helpful, and extremely flexible. They were a true pleasure to work with. The night of the rehearsal dinner, the wait staff were attentive and extremely kind to my whole party. Their food is just as excellent as their service, not one complaint from any of our guests. I would recommend having a party or just eating at the Dip Net any of the week! We will definitely be coming back year in and year out for our anniversaries and vacations!

Had dinner here after getting off the ferry from Monhegan. It was a welcome site after a long day on the island and we immediately poured back some Maine beers. For app's we had the Fried Cheese Curds and the Mushrooms. Missing on the menu was Poutine and if you have cheese curds, you might as well go all the way!
For dinner I had an excellent Mushroom Swiss burger and my entire party enjoyed their meals. I would highly recommend the Dip Net and I would commend our server, but the restaurant, sadly, does not put their names on the check. She was excellent.

The dip net is an ideal restaurant, you can see the quality based on the amount of people who know to go there even though it's kind of far from big towns. Just tried my first fried oysters here, i couldn't believe the quality! It's like no matter where you sit at the dip net you're right over the water. Our family has been thankful for this place for decades!

4 people, 4 different meals and everyone was delicious. Lobster roll was cooked perfectly $26 but came with a very tasty salad with the kind of blue cheese dressing I make at home. Scallops! Yum! I love this place.

Fantastic place to eat. Wait staff was wonderful!! I grew up on Cape Cod, I take fresh fish quite seriously. The haddock I had tasted like it was just caught and filleted!! Hatd to find really fresh seafood where I now live.
Highly recommend dining here.

Located in a quaint spot, it's a great place to have a cocktail and a lunch after visiting the lighthouse. The drinks were refreshing in this family style open seating spot. I had the kimchi calamari and it was excellent. It was fresh, crispy and tasty. Everyone seemed pleased with their meals,.lots of lobster rolls!

Really loved this place - specifically the barn bar - so glad it was open (it wasn’t when I was here last summer). Great bar, super nice tender, great drinks, wonderful vibes! Couldn’t have asked for a better visit. Will be back. Thank you!!

We always enjoy the Dip Net. Arriving either by our boat or car from Tennant's Harbor the Port Clyde area is a favorite.
We were a little disappointed in the lobsters. They tasted good, but there was a strange seaweed-like discharge in the tail meat. My sister will never eat one again! They had no steamers or plain steamed mussels.
Also, I wasn't crazy about sitting and watching the lobsters being put into the steamer.
We will be back next year, though. Love the view of Hupper Is. and the pier.

This is the perfect restaurant for a memorable dinner. You can sit out over the water and watch the sun set over Port Clyde while eating delicious food. I went once on Fourth of July a few years ago, ordered the Port Clyder burger. The taste and the view just took my breath away, I'll never forget that meal.

Just went again recently with my partner and it was as amazing as before. The crab dip is divine! We loved the lobster trap cocktail as well(SUPER STRONG HAHAH. But who doesn't want to get tipsy by the ocean with their soulmate?)
