Really enjoyed the hike up to Penobscot Peak via the spring trail. A couple of short ledge areas towards the end of the spring trail when connecting to the Penobscot Mt trail but did it with my young kids so definitely manageable. Most of the Penobscot Mt trail is open rock face so bring some water on hot or sunny days. A variety of ways to get up or down from the peak that fit different abilities but plan on climbing about 900 feet in a short distance so be ready to climb.

If you are hiking, don’t ignore this peak!

It’s very underrated, our group liked it better than Precipice and Beehive! Like seriously why is this not on every list of must do hikes?

The best part was the trail had barley anyone on it!

Once you are at the top it’s 360 views of the entire park! No matter what direction you look is stunning!

Very underrated trail in Acadia Mational Park! I found the hike fun and the views mesmerizing! You can take few trail from Jordan pond to get there. Penobscot trail offers the best views, and it's totally doable for unexperienced hikers like ourselves, although not easy. I highly recommend it.

A very underrated trail in Acadia! It tends to be less popular than Champlain (precipice trail) and Cadillac but that certainly doesn't mean it is any worse. In fact I would say that the view from Penobscot and Sargent mountain are the best in the park with the trails being fun and challenging

I agree with everyone else it is very underrated and probably my favorite hike ever! The views from the top are memorable and the trails were interesting.
