Saffron Valley - Sugar House

I live just down the street from Saffron Valley and haven’t been able to try them in the 8 months i’ve moved and I finally got around to trying them and I’m excited to have a great Indian restaurant just around the corner. I came here with two friends and we got the sampler filled with all the various fried vegetable pakora and chicken pakora which was a great quantity. For the main dish we got Lamb Tikka Masala and the lamb was of great quality!! The curry was an amazing flavour and they give plenty of naan and rice with it. Overall I was throughly impressed with Saffron Valley and will be getting takeout again soon !!

Nice restaurant, samosas were nice and crisp and the filling was tasty. I really enjoyed the coconut korma. Entres come with a lot of rice. The decor is tasteful and the service was good.

EVERYTHING = 5 STARS! Service is amazing! Food is even better 🤤 definitely my new favorite Indian restaurant.

This is my favorite location... I love the selection of food, the taste, the quality. Of all Indian food l've had around Salt Lake, I keep coming back here over and over.

Great flavors and variety. Love the color and spices. This place is class. All the Dals are really good. I love this place more then crack and I used to use. The tandoori chicken is juicy and succulent. I would trade all my possessions to eat here again. Love the potatoes and Naan. God I love this place so much, I parked illegally and don't care if I get towed. Best Indian restaurant. #1. I would throw my grandma off a cliff to eat here again.

The best Indian food I've tried! Usually it's too spicy for me but here the level of spices seemed perfect. Masala Chai is beyond wonderful. The staff is so nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

A very impressive and stylish Indian eatery. The buffet selection is incredible with delicious offerings that encompass cuisine from the whole of India. The interiors too are a class apart that totally mirror the passion with which this place is run. Totally looking forward to many more visits.

Amazing Experience! Lunch buffet served in the afternoons have a great spread of quality Indian food, vegetarian options are very good and the coffee served is great. Awesome place to try quality Indian food.

Our first time visiting SLC and this Indian restaurant was awesome!! The food was excellent and the service was good too! Only wish they had a beer selection. The chicken tikka masala dosa was my wife’s favorite. My favorite was the tandoori chicken. Highly recommend this place if you’re a fan of Indian food!

The staff is super friendly, very helpful and very talkative. Absolutely enjoyed coming here. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. Because the food is made fresh to order it will take time for your food to come out. But really though why would you want it rushed?? It’s authentic and the place smells divine. If your wanting something done fast, this is not the place for you!! The fact that, that was even a negative review is surprising. Like I mentioned the food is authentic and they take care with cooking their food, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Where can I buy the chairs you guys have in there? They are really good looking and super comfortable!!! I'd love to know where I can buy them.

My favorite new restaurant in SLC. The aroma when you walk in instantly makes your mouth water and the aesthetics make you feel as though you’ve left Sugar House and gone somewhere completely new. Food was phenomenal. Amazing vegan options. The portions are perfect and so filling that you’ll definitely have left over. Service was great too. I love to cook so I’ve stopped eating out as frequently as I once did but I’ll definitely be back here again.

Love the ambiance, charm, location and food of this place! The waiter was so helpful and nice! He warned us not to go for medium spicy 🌶 and true enough that the mild spice can give you the burn in the as* the next morning! The lamb biryani is very tasty and sooo tasty again. The platter of different appetizers was also good, crispy and heavy to the stomach. We like the different chutney for dipping. It’s just the mango lassi that is too thick to drink easily. The consistency is like of a pure yogurt. We’ll be back to this place to try other dishes coz they really do have good food and service 💕👏

This is my all time favorite place to eat in SLC, the food is truly so so good and the workers there are very kind. I’ve only ever been to the Sugarhouse location, but I am sure all of their locations are top tier. I cannot recommend it enough, really. We just went there today for the buffet and they handed me a delicious cake on my way out, that was a very sweet gesture. If you’re in the area, you should 100% check it out!

Really fantastic Indian food in a casual, unfussy environment. Everything was great from top to bottom and the service was friendly and excellent. The flavor on the dishes was on par with some of the best I’ve ever had.

We love coming here for the lunch buffet!! Lots of vegetarian options, and Classics like chicken tikka masala. I love that they also have a little boutique of items made from refugees. I got my daughter a little purse from there. Also, this restaurant has the best chai lattes and lassis in my opinion. I can’t wait to go back again!

LOVE this place. Best naan and tikka masala I’ve had in UT. The staff are very generous and kind. I’ve been eating here regularly for several years. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely order the tikka masala, garlic naan, paneer, coconut korma with fish.

The food consistently tastes great, and my orders are always correct. Additionally, the two gentlemen who work there in the evenings are consistently friendly and helpful.

Not my favorite Indian food but still good. Atmosphere is outstanding and service is also amazing.
