Best campground in Michigan! We have been seasonal campers for 5 plus years and love this place. We now call it home. There is always a lot of activities for children and adults. Plus a free 9 hole golf course, putt putt golf, a huge recreational center with tons of games, and hand dipped delicious ice cream. They also have bands every Saturday amongst many other activities throughout the weekends. A great place to make family memories ❤

First off this is a massive campground, "largest in Michigan". Most of the sites are seasonal. As you can imagine with like 5000 people on a weekend and these being vacation homes, there are lots of rules and plenty of staff to let you know them. I have no problem with law and order.

Me and my son went this week and were pummeled by that severe storm that left many without power. We took shelter in the bathhouse.

When the storm ended, the staff went site to site checking on campers, they worked all night clearing the roads and running generators for the bathhouse and other buildings.

I've camped in plenty of storms and have never seen campground employees work so hard and check on campers.

This said there is also plenty to to do. We will definitely be back!

A great campground for all! Plenty of activities for everyone. They had a concert one night. They also had a nice craft show. The grounds are kept near and orderly. Our power was 30 amp service. Cart rental was out of carts but understandably you need to reserve ahead of time. Worth it as the campground is quite large.

Visited Greenwood Acres over the weekend to see some friends I hadn't seen in a while. This was my first time at Greenwood and it was a really nice park. There's a lot to keep kids busy from swimming, basketball, tennis, arcade, etc.

It was a little unexpected but put my mind at ease knowing their policy is no one under the age of 25 is allowed to drive inside the park - not even the golf carts.

Great campground! Lots are a good size, for electric/water & primitive sites. Tons to keep the kids busy! Arcade and Rec center, R/C Track, beach and pool! Plus the pool had life jackets/floaties, goggles and diving toys at your disposal. We seen cranes and blue herons, even a wild peacock 🦚💚 Lots of bath houses spread throughout campground for campers.

The bad: lots of geese> lots of geese poop on the beach but thats nature for ya 👌

I love coming here with my family. Tons of activities planned all the time, they have a great boating lake, a fun pool, a little arcade, great bike trails, two playgrounds, and arts and crafts all the time. I've been coming here for a while and I love it in October trick or treating has always been a blast. Please do visit. They have live bands from time to time, basketball court, the most recent thing I got to do was Christmas in July. Very family friendly. They also have great walking trails, tennis courts, a golf course, and they're adding a new putt putt area. Also the ice cream is to die for

GWA is a great and awesome campground. My husband and I have been here 26 years as seasonal campers. I have read a few of the negative reviews and am a little taken by some of the comments against the "seasonal campers". We are the ones who volunteer to offer you a fun filled weekend with things for the kids and adults to do. There is alot of golf carts driving around and the staff is very committed to making sure they follow the speed limit. My offer of advice to the weekenders that have kids (and complain about the golf carts) is to watch your kids. On the weekend there are so many young kids riding bikes in the middle of the street, darting out of the side streets into on coming traffic and it bothers me as their parents are no where to be found.
This is an awesome place to camp and I have recommended GWA to many friends and family.
Have a great day and let's all continue to spread kindness and hope to all.

So far so good! Really seems to be a pleasant place to really enjoy yourself and relax. Very nice playground, and an awesome recreation room with lots of games (being your dollars tho) also snack, ice cream area. Very friendly staff when we arrived helpful too.... The campers around us seem to be very friendly as well. My little baby is even relaxing too.

We went to Greenwood Acres to see the band "Magic Bus". We had such a great time that we are planning another trip back to this campground. The place is huge! There are 1,000 sites & 800 of them are seasonal sites. We met so many nice people & most of them were seasonal campers. Everyone kept inviting us back to their site to hang out & talk. It took me back to when I was a kid & you went camping to meet people & socialize & have fun. The campground has a band every Saturday night. It also has activities planned throughout every week from the time it opens for camping season until it closes at the end of October. It has amenities like large campsites, a general store, a rec room, a small cafe, a pool, a 9-hole golf course, mini-golf, a huge pavillion for the bands, laundry facilities, some full hook-up sites, a dump station, a beach, swimming, fishing, and golf cart rentals. I've read some reviews about people driving golf carts drunk, but I didn't see that. The campground has some strict rules like you have to be 25 to drive a golf cart, there's no riding bikes after dark, and all golf carts must be at their own sites by midnight. All of the seasonal campers that we met reminded us of the rules so we wouldn't get in trouble. Everyone followed the rules because the campground also has a policy that if you break the rules, you have 24 hours to pack up & get out. Like I said, we had a great time. Met a lot of fun & friendly people. Drove our golf cart all over the place and still didn't have time to see everything. And yes, we saw people drinking and driving their golf carts, but nobody got stupid drunk or obnoxious. We didn't see anyone get belligerent, but I'm sure there's people that get belligerent without even drinking. That's just the way they are in life. For the people that complained about drunk driving and too much noise, they must not be used to people having a little fun and unwinding. I, myself, had a very relaxing & fun time. I highly recommend this place if you need to get away from it all and just enjoy yourself.

Very large bustling campground. We went on a holiday weekend, so it was likely the busiest it gets. Lots of golf carts. Everyone was respectful and friendly. Rules could arguably be strict, but with that many people, one can see the value in reducing liability and the likelihood of issues by enforcing them.

If you're looking for a well run campground with ample sites and a very well stocked store (beer, food, camping essentials and float toys, etc.) This is a great place. Bring a bike if you don't have a cart, or plan to walk or take the weekend only tram to get around. I can see where tent campers may feel this is too noisy of a space, but it was fine as a camper. Aside from a few carts quietly going by, quiet time was just that where we were at. They had food trucks that offered good food and the beach was nice. The pool is awesome, but can get crowded. It was larger than most campground pools we have seen.

The wifi, as with other campgrounds is scanty, so bring a mifi or Hotspot and you will be good.

Haven't seen anything like it. It's like a pre retirement community. A retirement community and a summer camp for adults . Huge campground, mostly seasonals with golf carts cruising all over. Fund raiser raffles throughout the season and live bands every weekend.

Great family camping. Campground is very clean and taken care of. They have bands every Friday and Saturday. Ton's of activities going on every weekend. The only thing I wished was the pillows were open during the week.

Well, camping season is over and this was our first seasonal at GWAFG and it was great and we will be going back. This is great there is always something to do! If you are in the market for seasonal campground or just a weekend get away this is a great place to check out.

Nice campground/community. Plenty of activities for the kids. Little strict, must be 25 or older to be able to drive anything (car or golf cart) in the park, but it does keep it safe for kids riding their bikes.

Love this campground and all the people who work here! We've been coming here several years. Our grandkids come with us and love the golf, swimming, Basketball, Tennis, putt putt golf and the arcade. The pig roasts are awesome! We like the size of the lot....plenty of room for our motorhome, truck, golf cart, bikes, a small tent as well as a big place for cooking and eating outside. The people here are all friendly from the people at the front gate to the people working in the store to the waitresses at the restaurant. I would like to see new artificial grass on the greens at the golf course. Price is good, lots of security. Thank you Greenwood Acres for making our vacation great!
