Washington County License Center - Forest Lake

I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile. Went into this location on a weekday, around 4pm…got right in. Maybe it was a fluke, but I was happy! The guy helping me out was so nice, helpful, honest and informative! Wish I could remember names! I’ve told several people to go to the Forest Lake location after my outstanding experience.

On a side note:
I also saw a different staff member being yelled at by a customer. That staff member handled it so well. I get that things are frustrating, some days are harder than others, but be nice people! They just deliver the news, don’t take it out on them.

Friendly and helpful visit! Circle pines dmv ruined my transfer and thankfully they fixed the issue wish a smile. I won’t go back to circle pines ever.

I'm not sure where to start. I have been here so many times for dmv, the library, , getting birth certificates, and the veterans' affairs counter. EVERYONE IS SO HELPFUL PATIENT AND NICE! dmv gets a bad rap for employees. This place is so kind and knows how to help, and if the attendant doesn't know they figure it out from other workers or look it up. Mainly I see mean customers and they're STILL nice to them and helpful.

Best Licensing Center I've ever been to. It was fast, even though there were many people in front of me in line and the staff was so helpful and friendly.

I actually had a good time getting my tabs renewed at this DMV. That's a first! Awesome people working in Forest Lake!

Love this place! They are so quick and easy to work with. No appointments needed just get a number when you walk in. I had no wait!

It seems that there were a lot of people this day, but still everything seemed orderly and fast to me, they are also very friendly and attentive to ask what else they can help.

Second time I've come into this DMV for license this year (name change). Fast friendly service. Today went during my lunch break and in and out in less than 10 minutes! That includes getting in and out of my vehicle. If you are prepared this location has been great with their timing . Thanks!

Upon arrival, I was greeted by an employee who was very rude and condescending. It made me feel less than welcome. The wait was not very long- around 40 minutes, even without scheduling an appointment. This location seems to work quickly and efficiently. The only reason I chose to give this 5 stars is because of Kathy, the wonderful lady who helped me at her window. She was extremely patient and kind. Her professionalism and lightheartedness made the whole experience worth the wait, despite the initial unpleasantries. Thank you!

I went in today to get my license renewed. Something I thought would be simple and easy, since I pre-registered online. The lady in training there, unfortunately had to deal with an issue with my CDL. A couple other employees helped us with what was wrong. After I got some additional paperwork from the clinic, another lady that was trying to go to lunch, stayed and helped get my renewal issues resolved! The wait was shorter than I've ever seen, and the help was GREATLY appreciated!! THANK YOU!!!

Super fast easy and convenient. Open till 6pm today which was awesome. Teller was super friendly. Will go here for DMV needs from this point forward.

The gentleman that we dealt with was awesome. He made us smile. He helped fix things. He displayed a positive helpful attitude the whole time!

I'm not sure why people say how unfriendly these ladies are. I've never had an issue with them, always helped quickly, only occasionally do I have to take a number and wait.

If you come in with all of the items you need, you'll be in and out in no time. Treat the workers nicely and they're nice to you, that easy :)

Today was exceptional! Short wait, and very organized with cell phone texting to let you know your place in line. The person who helped me to apply for a duplicate driver's license was extremely polite and helpful. This is how it should always be done! People would no longer dread the process of going to the license bureau. Thanks for a pleasant experience today!

I had a passport appointment today with my 2 young children. Krissy was extremely courteous, helpful, and kind!
Usually when I step into any county service center (especially the DMV), I prepare myself for rude service. Krissy is the first employee who has ever gone above and beyond at Washington County! She answered all my questions and helped me so much.

Got in and out quick, pleasant waited at another place for 1 hour, and still had at least another hour so left and got right in...

This was the quickest and most pleasant DMV experience I’ve ever had! After I checked in, I didn’t even have to sit down before there was someone ready to help me.

I came in for my appointment to transfer the title for my car that I sold. Katie greeted me with a smile and was extremely polite and helpful. She showed me how to properly complete the title application and explained the entire process. I was in and out within a few minutes. Thank you for making the process quick and painless. Katie was courteous and efficient. Being in the service industry myself, I know that good help is hard to find. She is an asset to your company. Thank you!

The deputy registrar near home only does it by appt.- ham lake office was closed for the week .. so i was thrilled to learn Washington county was fully operational even thought they too are dealing with staff shortages.. the fancy "take a number" thing was intimidating at first buti got it. The facility is clean, modern and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful
