Simply perfect! What a fantastic culinary experience at the Thompson House. You’re immediately drawn in by the warm and relaxed beauty of the property and building that is further reinforced by the welcoming staff. The servers are friendly and conversational as they walk you through their ever changing seasonal menu of locally sourced ingredients. Every dish had an incredible depth of flavor and was beautifully presented in a simple way honoring the local ingredients. This is an experience I plan to repeat anytime I’m in the area, and is worth a trip just to dine at the Thompson House Eatery.

The food is always fantastic regardless of what you pick on the menu, which changes frequently. I had the RibEye steak which was cooked to perfection the way I like it and so flavorful, easily the best steak I've ever had. The night I was there was extremely busy so service was a bit slower than usual but certainly not bad. The only criticism I have is because of all the hard surfaces in the dining room, it gets noisy and difficult to hear at times. Always on my.listmof go to dinner places when I am in the area and will be going back again before I leave New Hampshire.

As NH residents, we love this area of NH. We love dining out and trying new places, so we do so whenever we can. This was our first visit to Thompson House for our anniversary and the food was simply amazing; better than the fine dining restaurants we have dined at in Boston. The staff was swift to wish us a happy anniversary and was intent on making our experience special. We each had a drink, 50 shades of grey and a cherry sazerac, which were both well balanced and flavorful. We had the fococia as well as the cheese board to start, both were great. For main courses we had the bolognese and the wagyu steak frites. I asked for the steak temp medium, and to our surprise, the chef would not cook it more the med rare due to his moral compass. Though some may find that pretentious and condescending, I found it impressive and allowed me to put my full trust in the kitchen staff. These dishes were perfection in our opinion.

Now for the things we were not so used to. They do require you to order your whole meal at once, apps as well, but they do time the delivery in a staggered way. We were surprised to see a 3.25% payment processing fee foe not paying cash at a fine diningestablishment. They also include 20% gratuity for the server in the bill which we normally would hate, however, the service staff were ALL great and helped each other steadily. It does leave you feeling obligated to leave more of a tip if you dine out often though.

I can’t believe we found this little gem in Jackson! The best food, drinks, atmosphere, AND our server/hostess were fantastic. Farm to table restaurant - you can see all the land they own out the dining room windows. Would absolutely recommend to everyone!

Best food we have EVER had!!! Me and my husband went to T.H.E after we eloped and it was by far the best meal we have ever had. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and make us feel right at home. Our server, Zoe, was absolutely amazing. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and you could tell how much she loved her job. We loved their specials that night and the food was so delicious. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection, no meal can even come close to how good it truely was! We want to go back already! Thank you so so much T.H.E for making the meal after our elopement so special♥ We have decided to make it a tradition and come back every year for our anniversary!

The food is very fresh being locally sourced or even grown on site. We went there to celebrate our anniversary and several members of the staff mentioned this and were all very kind and attentive. We reserved a high top but were offered the outside dining area if we would like, which we were excited to accept and it was beautiful.
I ordered the fish and it was melt in your mouth quality. We have been there once before when I ordered a steak and it was probably the best steak I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Amazing and cute place! Food was terrific and great price for a farm to table restaurant. We were recommended this place by our hotel’s front desk and were glad we went. All the servers and host were extremely kind and welcoming.

First time at T.H.E. and I can’t wait to go back. The staff was very friendly, the setting was very inviting (they’re welcoming us into their home) and the food was spectacular. We loved the balanced cocktails and the cheese board was very tasty. Service was top notch and the energy and teamwork of the staff made the whole experience even better.

Took my partner out for a birthday dinner.
Everything was absolutely delicious from the Zero proof cocktail with lemon and cardamom to the homemade pasta and beignets.
Service was also excellent and attentive.
Wonderful experience all around.

One of the top 5 meals I've ever had, and definitely the hands down best restaurant in NH. There is really no comparison. The food is fresh, local, and prepared perfectly. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable.

Edit: I can now say the T.H.E is the best restaurant in New England, and it's not an exaggeration. You will not find a more creative or fresh menu anywhere else.

You are at home the moment you walk in. The atmosphere and warm welcome set the tone for the rest of the evening!
The food and service was exceptional. Every thing from the forethought of the server to the ingredients and plating was deliberate and delicious. Which brings me to the food! You can taste the difference in quality! You can tell that the ingredients come from local quality farms! We dont usually do allll the courses but we just couldnt help ourselves. AMAZING FOOD.

Bre our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and over all amazing.

There is an automatic gratuity but they let you know about it everywhere from the menu to the website to a little sign at the host stand so it wasnt a surprise which was nice. But i usually tip 20% or more any way so it just saved me from doing math.

Anyway. If you're on the fence go and enjoy the amazing food and welcoming knowledgeable staff.

The prices are high but the ingredients are high quality and the taste is world-class. The food we had was on par with what you’d find in Boston or NYC or any other major city. Service was great. Prices are high but I think it’s fair for the quality. It’s a surprising find out here and it’s good to have a spot to go without having to drive all the way to Portland or Portsmouth for a high quality dining experience.

THE hosted our rehearsal dinner and did an amazing job. The food is fresh and homemade, the bread and spreads amazing, the drinks funky and creative. Love that the menu is so focused, although it doesn't make choosing any easier because the options all seem incredible. The atmosphere is cozy and beautiful. Aside from regular dining, they hosted my rehearsal dinner flawlessy. My guests were all wowed by the food and we're talking about it through the weekend. Will be coming back to visit this ski season :)

Thompson House Eatery is a wonderful place for a special dinner or luncheon. Most of the food is sourced locally and prepared creatively.

The waitress was very nice and friendly, and she knew the menu very well.

We had two appetizers: the beet salad and the vidalia onion salad. Both were beautifully presented and delicious.
Main courses were the delicious mushroom polenta and the housemade pappardelle. Both incredibly good.

Dessert was a treat of the best beignets we have had since New Orleans!

Compliments to the hostess, wait staff, and especially the chef and kitchen for what was a perfect Mother's Day celebration.
Highly recommend!

5 stars across the board. A must stop if you are in the white mountain region. Cocktails are great, service, food from apps to desserts all 5 stars. Thompson House is always a highlight of our stays in the North Conway area. Best food in the area!

Chef Jeff Fournier has elevated the sustainable sourcing and fresh local ingredients methodology to a whole other level. Like a conductor of a symphony he understands the subtle notes that the most delicate ingredient can infuse to add color pop and fragrance to a dish, such as handpicked tarragon blossoms to a wild mushroom dish, or local honey to the butter. on homemade crackers. They have 3 greenhouses on their property as well as beautiful gardens in which fresh flowers and vegetables adorn the plates. The cocktails are creative with an old world touch, and ask for a recommendation for the entree, as the specials are unique and relevant to the season and not always available. The beignets and homemade ice cream are not to be missed. His wife Kate runs the front of house, greets her guests as she would a friend and is passionate about the town of Jackson NH she has made home with Jeff and their sons. They have a farmers market there in the warmer months that support local artists and craftsmen. This family owned restaurant is redefining the dining experience as they educate and delight their guests on the local flavors and the importance of their local farmers and sources of ingredients. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time for a memorable dining experience.

My SO & I came up to the Jackson area for the weekend for my birthday. He surprised me with a few special things and reservations at this restaurant was one of them. It's our first time dining here so we weren't sure what to expect.
Walking in, this establishment is quaint, cozy and welcoming. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the menu is unique. Dishes are unlike anything I've had before. The pairing of items and mixture of flavors were unexpected but just right.

For cocktails / beverages we started off with the Black Manhattan martini then moved on to a bottle of red followed by tea & coffee.

Apps, we tried the Charcuterie board and the Mushrooms with the Squash puree.

Entrees, I did the Swordfish and he did a Sirloin special.
(Hands down the best fish dish I've ever had !)

Dessert, (although limited selection) we did their signature Beignets. With the marmalade they pair it with, it tasted like an old fashioned lemon donut.

Im a foodie but not a food critic...All of it was Absolutely Amazing in my opinion.
I recommend giving this place a try, I am confident you will be highly satisfied.
