Great spot to sit down and have a coffee along Communipaw! The iconic doggo is right across the street. Highly recommend the vanilla oak latte; it was tremendously substantial and tasty, perfectly refreshing after a brisk walk. The baked treats are also great and flavourful. The staff is very helpful and kind and will provide recommendations according to your personal preferences. One of the best coffee spots in Jersey City. Highly recommended!

Let’s cut to it - Pistachio latte, cookie butter latte, pistachio matcha (!!!), pistachio twist (!!!), lemon olive oil cake, and every single donut they have.
These are my stars and my favorite treats, everybody I’ve shared with or brought here have loved everything they’ve tried. If you’re about *quality* coffee, pastries, drinks, and people — there shouldn’t be another coffee shop you go to.
I’ve been to some of their events and seen their outreach to the community and it’s another reason to love this place and the people here. 5stars.

I love this coffee shop AND it's black owned! I am obsessed with the Pistachio flavored Latte and they have this Pistachio Pastry this is mouthwatering when heated up just a touch. I come from 50mins away just to sit and catch the vibe in this coffee shop. The staff is courteous and they get along well with each other making the atmosphere pleasant. Music is on point too. Definitely will be back!

I love the coffee and I only had drip coffee! They do have all kinds of flavors and specialty flavors.
I’d have to say the only ‘complaint’ I’d have (which cannot be blamed on them) was: For the two-ish hours we were there, they cleaned 2-3 times (which is actually a plus) but because part of the appeal of a coffee shop for me is the smell of coffee …for 10-15mins after they clean, I have to‘endure’ the smell of chemicals, again, they can’t be blamed for my olfactory sensitivity lol.

Came here this morning after my Pilates class.
The coffee is good, the staff is cool. What a great local Cafe in the neighborhood. I got a Pistachio Twist which was so delicious for me to remember to take a picture. I highly recommend giving it a shot when arriving this area.

We love The Grind! It’s our favorite coffee shop, hands down. Everyone who works there is so friendly and amazing, and the coffee and treats are top notch. My husband and I have been going since we moved into the area two years ago and can’t recommend it more. Even our pup is a fan. We can’t walk by without stopping in for a treat (she’s a fan of the whipped cream, for sure). Make sure to visit!

Coffee is always on point. They have some unique flavors. Staff is always friendly as well. Became our new favorite spot in JC.

They open early so you can get your fix and by 3:30pm they are closed.

They have deep rich aromatic beans that they grind & diverse syrups (including blueberry!). They offer non dairy milk substitutes & have morning pastries.

Awesome coffee shop in this area. Plenty of tables and the wifi is solid. Interior is great. Small menu but everything is really good! Good pastry selection as well. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. I ordered a latte which was good and snacks were delicious.

Today was my first time visiting and i'm definitely going back again to support a #BlackOwnedBusiness! I was immediately greeted by the staff when my friend and I walked in. They were extremely helpful and made me feel comfortable when choosing what to order. I don't drink coffee so the guy made me a pistachio latte which was delicious! For my friend, they suggested their new chocolate covered strawberry latte. The presentation of both drinks were on point! We would order them again.

They have a couple of seats inside where you can bring your laptop and work. They also sell small bites/pastries. And the music? A VIBE.

Great espresso, great bagels, best chocolate donut I've ever had. These guys know what they're doing.

The staff is always so friendly, and by the second time I started coming here, they somehow already knew my order. The coffee is fantastic, as are the croissants and doughnuts.

Googled a decent roasters for a latte, drove myself all the way from Newark. It was worthy. Latte was excellent and fairly priced for the quality. Doughnuts were expensive, but of the highest quality too. Place was clean, checkout was fast, they have plugs and WiFi, and service was very good! I’m Definitely coming back.

Just grabbed a coffee and a scone before running some errands. Coffee (double espresso) was excellent, scone was good, barristas are super nice. Great selection of pastries. The place itself is welcoming and cozy. Bathtoom was neat (any joint that has a clean bathtoom gets extra points in my book). This is my 3rd or 4th time here, will definitely be back! The pastries are some of the best in Jersey City. Those little bear cakes are sweet and cute. Staff remembers the regulars, very nice and welcoming.

They don't just create amazing food and drinks, they create community. This shop has enriched the Berg-Laf neighborhood and has made it exponentially more exciting to live here. Do yourself a favor: Go get a coffee and a pastry here and INTRODUCE YOURSELF. You'll see why so many people love this place very quickly. They do so much more than coffee.
