Baonanas Banana Pudding

Just found out about this cute little spot the other day and I'm so happy I did. The food puddings were great. You can definitely dine in or take out. They have games you can play while your sitting there enjoying yourself. They also offer a gluten free option as well. It's a very clean and cozy place to grab a nice sweet treat. The staff was also very welcoming and helpful. I got to taste the puddings before I purchased them and I'm glad that's an option because it helped me narrow down what I wanted. I will definitely be coming back again.

Delicious banana pudding, lots of fun South East Asian flavors along with a great selection of classic flavours. The pudding is light and fluffy and the service is great. Will definitely be back to try their drinks :)

Baonanas changed my mind about banana pudding! I didn’t understand what could be so special about it.

I’ve tried almost all the flavors and my top 3 favorites are the OG, buko pandan, and French Toast. I like topping it with Nilla wafers for extra crunch. I hate to admit that I can eat a whole pint in one sitting. It’s not too sweet at all.

I also tried their pan de bao sliders. I tried both the chicken truffle one and the spam & kimchi one. I liked both but favored the latter.

I tried their calamansi fizzie and the watermelon calamansi mint fizzie. Both were really good too.

On top of that, customer service is on point! Shout out to Lloyd and Ju. (And free street parking!!)

Would recommend to all my friends and can’t wait to take my brother here!

As Jersey City residents, we knew we had to have one of our favorite businesses at our wedding as a dessert surprise for our guests! We hired Baonanas as an added sweet treat for our wedding and it was a huge hit! They came in their adorable Baomobile, set up outside at our venue, and served 6 flavors of their delicious pudding to our guests. There was consistently a line and our guests kept coming back to try more flavors. It was the perfect unique option to serve our guests that wasn’t too heavy after a night of eating and drinking. With a range of flavors (including vegan and gluten free) there was something for everyone to enjoy!

Prior to our wedding, the team did a great job at communicating with us and we even got to schedule a tasting ahead of our big day where we got to sample numerous flavors in order to choose the pudding we would serve our guests. We got the choice of a ton of flavors and landed on some classics and some fun seasonal fall flavors that were perfect for our October celebration.

The team was always polite, always responsive, and extremely easy to work with. The two Service Bears serving at our wedding always had a smile on their face and even saved some for us to take home at the end of the night. We highly recommend Baonanas and the Baomobile if you’re looking for a creative and tasty add on to your wedding or event!

I've loved banana pudding for as long as I can remember, but my wife is not a fan - that said, we both love what Baonanas has to offer! Their special style of banana pudding, paired with excellent savory bao sandwiches and house-made drinks make this place truly remarkable. They offer a wide variety of pudding flavors (with new ones rotated seasonally), and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the product. You can even sample the flavors if you're not sure what you'd like. This is a spot we always bring friends when they visit, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend checking them out!

We love this little cafe and its amazing offerings.. we tried the famous banana pudding (different flavors and sizes available) and the egg bao. Both had several subtle flavors mixed in and we found them very tasty! We also tried the cantaloupe juice which was unique. Definitely visiting again!

The most welcoming and friendly atmosphere! I got the double scoop, which comes with two flavors. Totally worth the price, as the flavors are quite sweet so its very satisfying. I tried Thai Tea, OG Baonana, Cookies and Cream, and French Toast. All the flavors were so delicious, but Thai Tea was my favorite because it wasn’t too sweet. They even have board games! My bf and I played Connect 4, and I got a free scoop after I won :)

I came across this place because i had a real bad craving for pudding lol i didn't know what i was walking into i didn't have the sandwiches from here But I did have the pudding and baby let me tell you it's worth every penny the fruit is fresh no added sugar and the drinks is very tasty. This place is very clean service was great I definitely left happy. If you are looking for something sweet but different with no added sugar the only thing that may have sugar is some toppings not all . I definitely recommend this place i will be back. My new fave spot

We tasted Baonanas before booking in two of their locations. It was such a pleasure meeting Lloyd in person who helped us with a personal taste testing and talked us through the booking process. It was super easy to communicate through their online portal, and AJ was very prompt and answered all our questions. Our guests were thrilled and enjoyed their many flavors of banana pudding at the end of our wedding at The Garrison in 06/02/2023. Their serving cart definitely surprised a lot of our guests and added flair to our wedding. Would highly recommend Baonanas for any event! Thank you so so much for everything! Joanna & Terence

Lloyd is literally the sweetest guy and the cantaloupe juice with condensed milk is to die for. I love it here and would come back again all the time (if only it was closer to my house 🥲 but whenever I'm in Jersey city I'll be here!). Excited for them to branch out to other places around jersey :)

This place is an absolute delight!!!
What could be better than coming in on a nice day for some delicious pudding, being greeted with the kindest people and warm smiles, and getting to unwind in the “Baoyard” outdoor space with the most serene scene with turf and couches…This place has the most zen atmosphere around and is an absolute gem in the neighborhood!
(BTW, extra points if you get to see Lloyd, he was extremely friendly and a great conversationalist!)

Love banana pudding? Check out baonanas! They have many flavors to choose from. They also have seasonal flavors. They also have many toppings to choose from that will surely complete your baonana experience! I am a huge fan of the buko pandan flavor, but the new mango flavor is my new favorite it was amazing they also have fresh cut mango toppings that I added into my pudding and it was amazing. They also have other products such as flavored drinks and savory sandwiches. Make sure that you check those out too!

I've loved #Baonanas since its humble beginnings--so much so that I had them cater dessert for my December 2022 wedding. Lloyd, AJ, and their team went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I got everything we wanted and that our guests' dietary needs were met. My Filipino relatives, in particular, LOVED Ubenanas and Peachy Mango Pie.

Hands down one of my favorite desserts, and I didn’t even like banana pudding before I had baonanas. Extremely fluffy and flavorful, plus the variety of flavors they offer is amazing. Personal favorite is the cream and cookies, but lychee rose and s’mores are delicious. You can buy in scoops or half pints/pints (which I recommend the latter because why not). I can’t wait to come back and try their Thai Tea flavor! Awesome staff too.

Also I tried cantaloupe juice with condensed milk for the first time and wow it’s so refreshing. 10/10 recommend :)

I truly love this place. They upgrade the classic banana pudding bt having fun flavors. The OG is good too but always enjoy getting the fun new flavors. This time we tried the Apple cider, Matcha oreo and fluffernutter. Oh my as usual everything was so delicious. They have super friendly service to. Mckenna (apologies if I mis-spell her name) was super attentive, friendly and helpful.

Obsessed with their banana pudding. Best I've had so far. Especially the ube one. If you guys want to open a franchise in Montreal or France, please reach out to me.

Great place for a quick dessert stop. Tried the ube and buko pandan puddings. Delicious! Also had the calamansi to drink. It paired well with the puddings.

Husband and I came here after seeing it mentioned online somewhere. We are soo happy we stopped by. They provide samples in a COVID friendly way! Husband had the OG Baonanas and I had the Strawberry Baonanas. Both were absolutely delicious!!! Definitely coming back!
