Went to the court in person for two parking tickets I had received on the same day (parking in front of the same fire hydrant, car never moved). -- First, talked to a very friendly woman. Being a tourist from Europe, with no postal address in the US, their computer system was unable to send me a subpoena (neither via mail, nor via email, and not via mobile text message either). With no chance to get a Zoom-based hearing, the lady got me an on-site court hearing within 30 minutes! The judge ruled the second ticket a duplicate; and I paid the other ticket immediately on-site. Very friendly and professional service throughout.

Had a fine experience. I lost my parking ticket number, but I know my plate number. Therefore I called their number. The system said 2 minutes of waiting, but I ended up waiting for 8 minutes. The telephone receptionist was good in the attitude. I got what I want in the end. I would say it's Okay.

I had a court date today for sanitation violation ticket. After reading all these negative reviews, I didn't know what to expect. To my surprise I found the people to be friendly and efficient. As soon as you enter, you have to go through airport like security so its best to arrive about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time. There were about a dozen cases that had the hearing scheduled at 9 AM. We were told to go to Room 6 and wait for the judge. While waiting a guy was going through some of the cases to quickly and efficiently resolve them. He patiently heard the story and then recommended judgement. In my case, the dismissal of the ticket was recommended. In some cases, he "negotiated" with the defendants to reduce the fine if there was enough evidence of wrongdoing. Then the judge entered the room and recited all the rights and long list of blah blah. They first processed the cases in which a ticket dismissal or reduction of fine was pre-negotiated followed by more complicated cases. In my case, I was out of the building in an hour. Overall I found the process to be efficient but its possible that I might have felt differently if my ticket was not dismissed :)

I hate to say this, but I had the best experience here with the judge. I felt he was honest and fair over a parking violation. As long as you explain yourself and keep calm, you will be fine. This is only for a parking ticket, but I was able to have the ticket torn due to proof (Google Maps). I hope to never get another parking ticket, but this was a lovely experience:)

I never thought I would say that I had an excellent experience at any courthouse. But I did here. I came to dispute a parking ticket that was issued before the restricted street cleaning times, when parking was permitted.

The clerk at the desk who takes the dispute submissions (and ticket payments) wasn't very nice or welcoming. So I had my worries. Afterwards I also didn't receive my confirmation via email as she promised until I submitted a secondary email request. So expect a poor experience in that particular office.

The saving grace was when I came on my court date. The security guard at the entrance was very nice and welcoming. He greeted me with a "Hello my brother," and politely went through the screening process. This positivity continued with the court guards who openly and pleasantly answered anyone's questions.

Then what put it over the top was the pleasant and respectful way that Judge Irwin Rosen treated the defendants. He was in no way intimidating or skewed to be on the side of the parking officers. He was impartial and fairly evaluated every case based on the defendants' testimony and evidence. He clearly wasn't "out to stick people with as many tickets as possible" like the meter maids are.

I presented my case, showed my evidence of pictures of the street signs (they MUST BE PRINTED) and showed that the ticket was not issued in accordance with the municipal code (research the violation code to help your case). He fairly weighed the testimony and evidence then judged in my favor and dismissed the ticket.

My court time was at 1pm and I was out by 1:40pm. I couldn't ask for a better turnout. The court security and Judge Rosen are excellent. Keep up the great work!

I've never been in a courtroom that show so much respect to the public. 365 Summit Ave room 0005 Just Austin and Officer Lopez and the court administrators are very polite. I felt so great that may me want to go out and get another moving violation just to see them again🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍

Thank you! To the JCMC Team, thanks for making what could have been a grueling process a seamless one. Mr. Martin was very proactive in helping us with a very frustrating situation, what could have taken months was resolve within a day. I wish more city agencies were this proactive and helpful.

I fought my parking ticket here because I was ticketed at 1pm under a sign that was no parking 3 - 5 pm. I was like whaaaat. I called the court and waited on the phone for at least 24 hours due to "we are experiencing a higher than normal call volume". It doesn't matter what time you call their average call volume is probably 1; you will hear that message and wonderful hold beats. Ain't nobody got time for that so I went to court and showed the judge a photo of the sign and the ticket time and he was like fuggetaboutit I was off the hook. Some of the crackheads there were providing free entertainment for all, that was a nice touch. The officer at the metal detector was mad cool we cracked on bearded downtown JC transplants while I was waiting for the court to open. I hope beard lice becomes an epidemic and the prefered progenitor would be from a westside crackhead in attendance that day. One of the female attorneys there was smokin hot; she was cool with metal detector officer and joined in the convo. I got her number, we texted for a few days but it fizzled. Whatevs.

5/5 would get another BS parking ticket, take off work and not get paid, and fall into an endless cycle of not being able to pay parking tickets just to chill with JC's finest.

The court has two floor and 6 court room. And easy to find out where you belong because they have a list of names to let you know what court room you belong..
