O'Bagel & Deli

When we first walked through the door, I was overwhelmed by how many people were standing in line. However, I thought it just meant the food was really good. When we finally got up to order, I got a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. It was an affordable sandwich. I believe the whole process took about 30 minutes. It was a Saturday morning, so I think it’s just really populate around that time. The food was great. The bagel tasted fresh and was soft. I had no complaints about the food. Just the length of time I waited for it. However, it was worth the wait.

I have been going to O'Bagel & Deli in Riverwalk for 16 years and it has the best staff service one can dream of in the area. Everyone is absolutely warm, kind, knowledgeable, super helpful. The Manager has a terrific demeanor no matter how busy and that creates a wonderful atmosphere and amazing experience. The best part is there OUTSTANDING MENU, all delicious, well delivered.

Solid bagels, nicely boiled and baked. Nice variety of specialty cream cheeses, the favorite in our office seems to be the cinnamon raisin. They do a nice job with toasting and loading toppings. They smooth on just the right amount of butter, no portion of the bagel is left without and heat from the toast means it is all absorbed into the bread for a tasty treat which can be enjoyed without making a mess of things.

Great service.... great food. They make excellent breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

Probably the best bagels I’ve ever had, and I’ve lived in NJ my whole life. They’re crunchy enough to be satisfying but not too chewy as to be hard to eat. The insides are soft as pillows and the taste is incomparable.

Try to go early when the bagels are warm, it’s worth it.

I highly recommend them for a breakfast and lunch. They have a lot of different kinds of bagels for different kinds of taste buds like butter and jelly or onion and garlic. It’s the best bagel shop.

Don't let the line fool you, they have lots of help and it goes fast. Good sandwiches and everything is made fresh, very nice staff.

Me and my buddy Vinny came in and our stomachs were crumbling from that crumb cake. Haha… get it? But he exploded. Luckily I made it out. 5⭐!

It is the freshest best made bagels in NJ. The line moves fast and they have all the salads and toppings you would want in addition to hot breakfast sandwiches. Don’t forget to grab the crumb cake at the register when checking out. Ron runs it so well and special orders for events are handled with detail by him!

Coming from people that are from Long Island and have relocated in Pennsylvania we make this our pit stop when we drive back home. Today when we stopped for bagels they were seriously amazing !! Fresh, tasty , perfectly cooked . I’d say no frills customer service and the manager is a great multitasker .

The best, freshest NY style bagels with great selection of flavors and spreads, excellent hot coffee, Nova, etc. Don't be put off by the line- this place moves FAST. We make sure to stop by every time we're in the area - wouldn't miss it. Has a couple of covered outdoor tables too.

Absolutely my favorite bagel place in North/Central Jersey. My sister (from PA) always asks to go here when she visits. Their Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwiches are on point and their bagels just make it better. The staff is so friendly. It is very busy almost all the time so I recommend calling in your order if you already know what you want- otherwise expect to wait at least 15 minutes.

No need to drive into the City for a perfect bagel breakfast sandwich. A+ in everything; service was still reasonably fast even though it was packed.

I am annoyed at all the negative comments people are giving about the staff. I go there all the time, its always so packed and the staff work their butts off to meet peoples demands, they can't always be extremely friendly, respect that they are doing their job, which is to serve delicious bagels (which they do), not to make you feel warm and bubbly. If you are nice to them, they will be nice to you, but if you go there in a unrealistic rush and are impatient, its not their job to accommodate your rudeness. Give them credit for serving vast amount of people, who barely ackowledge them and are doing it early in the morning; that a tough job.

Not sure how this place has under 4 stars. The bagels are fantastic. The only thing someone can probably take away stars for is the wait some times but that only shows how good it is. I usually go with a bagel with cream cheese but everyone I know gets a breakfast sandwich which I here are fantastic.

The bagels are fantastic. Full stop. Some of the absolute best around.

P.S. Only amateurs ask for a fresh bagel to be toasted...

My review of bagel places is always only on the bagels. I’m just not going to expect the friendliest, bubbliest service at a bagel shop or deli. Maybe that’s my New Jersey upbringing. :-)

For a few years I’d been going to O’Bagel as my bagel place of choice until I moved to the Somerset area and found another bagel place that I thought even out-did O’bagel. Recently I have Realized that my go to bagel place of the last many years has declined in bagel quality significantly. I went back to O’Bagel recently, since it’s close to my work, and was blown away by the bagel compared to what I’ve been recently used to. Shows how the quality of my former place had declined considerably. Shame.

The fact is, I have not had another bagel in New Jersey recently that comes anywhere close to the quality of a NYC Ess-a Bagel as does an Obagel. It’s a combination of consistency and flavor, something most bagel places just don’t do. On a best day for an O bagel it can be slightly doughy or partially cooked looking around some of the edges, leaving the perfect consistency on the inside. A good bagel can’t just be another piece of bread in bagel Shape. And the current O’Bagel compared to any other bagel I’ve had anywhere in New Jersey it’s just leagues ahead.

As someone who sometimes likes to sit at an indoor table with a little bit of space, it’s the one thing this place is missing. There is only a counter for about three barstools which always feels a little cramped to me and then it’s right by the door so if it’s cold out it’s not related to comfortable place to eat.
