My recent reservation for a group of six colleagues resulted in an unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped foot inside, I was captivated by the enchanting ambiance of the interior and the breathtaking natural landscape that surrounded us, evoking the feeling of entering a mystical forest, brimming with wonder and charm. Each glance out the window revealed a picturesque vista, inviting us to immerse ourselves in the tranquility and serenity of our surroundings. It was a true feast for the senses, with every detail meticulously crafted to enhance the dining experience.

From the first bite to the last, every dish served was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. Each plate was a symphony of tastes and textures, expertly curated to tantalize the taste buds and ignite the imagination.

This Rest it's a true hidden gem, a culinary oasis tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Been searching for good Italian food since we moved to West Milford 4 years ago.. today we found it! Amazing food and service! MANGA!

I almost never write a review… but this gem was a jaw dropper! From the grandiose furnishings, arty decor, scrumptious cuisine (you have to try their sizzling steak and creamy ravioli!), warm; welcoming; respectful hospitality, cozy fireplace, to the stunning outdoor view and zen fountain! This gourmet restaurant is a MUST try! You’re in for a pleasant surprise! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+

Unbelievable experience! Chef was incredibly passionate and skillful in his craft, and each dish is specifically curated to the individual guest. This was a dining experience unlike any other that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys good food and has an open mind.

My wife and I celebrated Mother's day at this wonderful little steakhouse in West Milford. The staff was excellent and attentive and I will be thinking about the great steak I enjoyed all week. We look forward to going back.

I have eaten in this restaurant for a number of years and have probably ordered nearly everything on the menu by this point. Momento boasts delectable cuisine, exceptional service, and an elegant ambiance perfect for the finest of dining! Alberto, Leon, and their team have hosted private parties and catered events for my family for years — and their food and hospitality have put an extra touch of excellence on each of these occasions. I highly recommend Momento!!

I'm sure glad they had Grouper and John Dory as part of their dinner specials. We love them both plus grill octopus. They were all delicious and perfectly cook. After the delicious dinner, the dessert was the knockout punch. I had the limoncello cake for the first time and it has to be in my top 5 list for the best cake ever. Not sweet. Flavor is awesome. That's going to be my go to dessert when we go back to Momento's for dinner or lunch whatever. If not slice to go, 😂😂.

After hundreds of reviews you would think it becomes easier... lol NOT. It becomes more difficult because you tend to be repetitive and it gets harder to differentiate how to describe the good from the better.

Now this is an amazing experience from the moment you park your vehicle. First off it's a hike into the woods to find our venue, but it's a nice drive. Once you get to the restaurant you feel like your driving into an estate with a very nice entrance, but when you pull up and see the arch walkway with the beautiful greenery it becomes a weddingesque feel. Yes not a word but makes sense.

The greeting as you walk in changes everything, we were greeted by the owner who was very nice and welcoming. We sat down and began the evening. We started off with stuffed mushrooms and moved on to our entrées. My fiancée had Lobster Ravioli with a Rose Champagne Sauce which was insanely good. I had the Parpadelle Ragu which is made with actual Filet Mignon chopped and served as an amazing Ragu.

Of course we had a beautiful bottle of Boen Pinot Noir and our dessert was an incredible Bread Pudding and French Homemade Macaroons. Wow we definitely will be returning and we'll be making this our next Foodie Club experience. Loved it.

Certainly a talented kitchen! Haven't been here in more than 10 years. Friend pointed out to me that they have one of my favorite dishes, carpaccio, which is hard to find. I have had it prepared numerous ways by different chefs. All delicious, including here. Just missed my capers. NY strip was tender and perfectly cooked. My wife had grilled portobello mushrooms with goat cheese and the sesame encrusted tuna cooked perfectly to a medium rare. Portobello appetizer was a little overwhelmed with balsamic for my taste, but nicely done. Wife loved the chocolate mousse cake. Only issue of the night was our check had 3 drinks on it when we had only 2. Didn't notice till after payment and we enjoyed the evening so didn't bother bringing it up. Great place for a date night

WEDDING REVIEW (But also a frequent visitor of the restaurant!)

Jake and I are so overwhelmed with the amount that Leon, Alberto, and Arta.

We were definitely nervous knowing that Momento isn't a wedding venue to have our celebration here but being that we have eaten here a dozen or so times, we knew we could trust the food and would customize everything else.
Whatever we envisioned, Arta, Leon, and Alberto wanted to accommodate. We wanted long tables, they made that happen. We wanted string lights hung across the dance floor area, they hung them for us. They spent weeks preparing to ensure everything was perfect and continued to re-assure us in the weeks leading up, despite my anxiety. They hung chandeliers to make the tent look classier, they customized a menu for us from start to finish, and they ensured the right amount of staff for our 85 person wedding.

Thank you so much Leon for staying overnight the night before to ensure our day was nothing short of perfect.

I’m always a little leery when trying new places because my other half can be slightly hard to please after years in the restaurant industry. We went to Momento tonight at the recommendation of friends for my fiancé’s birthday…it didn’t disappoint! From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left everything was perfect except the weather outside. Leon was such a gracious host - he’s got personality for days and he truly made us feel like family. The entire staff interacted with each other and all of the guests so seamlessly. And then there was the food!!! Everything was spot on and delicious! I couldn’t have asked for a better steak - bone-in dry aged ribeye cooked to medium rare perfection! My fiancé’s Seafood fra diavolo was incredible…no overcooked seafood in sight. We had such an amazing experience and cannot wait to go back!

From the time I walked in, till the time I left there wasn't a moment I wasn't treated as family. The staff was extremely helpful & paid attention to details. The atmosphere was very welcoming & I was never rushed even though I was alone. The menu is limited making the food amazing, both my main dish & dessert were excellent.

The reason I gave five stars isn't because everything was perfect, because it wasn't. I am giving them five stars because of how they handled it from beginning to end. It was our second time there, the first for my birthday, and it was wonderful. This time, it was to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food is great, the atmosphere is wonderful, but the SERVICE is why I will continue to go back. I think I have found my new "go-to" restaurant. Especially when we have friends and family come from out of town. I want to thank Nicole, Patrick, and Olivia. Job well done!

Absolutely fantastic food and staff. Momento far exceeded expectations, some of the best burrata and filet mignon I've had in a while, and the pistachio and ricotta cake was definitely worth saving room for dessert.

This is a bit off the beaten path, and literally up a path in the forest. It is a beautiful setting in the woods. Once inside you could be at a villa in Tuscany. It is cozy and the staff was very helpful. The steaks and seafood are fantastic. It is about typical steakhouse pricing. They dont have the typical pasta you night expect. But worth a visit.

The service was excellent! The food was very good. The wine was also fabulous. The reputation of the place is a high-end restaurant in the area. Much of everything represents that.

However, a few curious areas didn't quite meet that reputation. First, the menu was presented in a flimsy, stained paper that didn’t match the caliber of the foods items (steakhouse-quality dry-aged steak). Second, the outdoor seating chairs were the light-weight aluminum chairs you'd see at a casual outdoor cafe. The driveway leading to the restaurant has a lot of potholes, which doesn't quite set the stage for well-maintained grounds of a high-end place. But these are just the finer touches that don't affect their great service or tasty food. These visual cues are simply a mismatch with its higher-end brand.

We were there for our daughter's birthday, food and service the best. The outside needs some TLC, made pretty with lights, so it looks more inviting. Just some advice!

If you're on the fence between going here, Momentos, or another place, go with Momentos! The service and kindness of the employees was unmatched in my experience. The owner was kind and genial. The food was absolutely to die for. I have never had a steak *that* good! And huge! Oh my lanta it was massive! And the mashed potatos, oh my god.... they were so good too! I also did not realize carrots and zucchini could taste that amazing. I would gladly go back occasionally just for a plate of their carrots and zucchini! They were that good! I would go back in a heartbeat! My partner got their special with SeaBass and scallops and shrimp. He echoed my sentiments about the rib eye steak, saying that the scallop and bass melted in his mouth before he even started chewing.

The staff even introduced us to their new barmaid, and her drinks are spot on! Everything else was so delicious we had to try one of her specials. So she made us pink grapefruit and basil martinis and they did not disappoint!

Be warned, it is expensive, but you'll leave after astounded and definitely want to go back!
