The Breezy

I visited this place quite a few times, as I fell in love with the atmosphere and the food. Not only did the restaurant come with great views of the lake, but the service was amazing. Every employee was always doing something, including those who were not my server. It was quite busy the last time I was there, and they were very accommodating. The drinks were amazing, as I recommend the Just Peachy Martini. I really enjoy that the menu is expanding more by adding seafood. The kitchen does a really great job with what they are giving their customers. Overall, one of my favorite places to eat and enjoy while at Greenwood Lake.

I went back because of the reply to my review by the proprietor and it was worth the trip. Lovely day on the lake. Service was fast and the food delicious. The crab dip was tasty, a bit heavy but if you’re drinking that’s a good thing.

I was disappointed this year. My favorite dish at this place was the schnitzel. Last year the meat was thick an plump. This year the meat is paper thin 90% bread crumbs and impossible to cut, embarrassing for me trying to cut it and them for serving it. At $25 they can afford to serve a thicker meat, they served me expensive bread crumbs. Awful. So hard it felt like shoe leather. The waitress was very nice but overstretched the bus boy couldn’t care less. It took forever to get a drink order never mind the food. Nice spot but they need to get their game up. Not worth spending so much money to just sit outside. Other places around!

We, my family and I came for dinner. The food was very good. Our waitress was very nice. It was lovely sitting outside looking over the lake while we enjoyed our meal.
We will be regular visitors for 😊 sure

We are locals and have been patrons for years. We had an amazing dinner this evening. The crispy oysters appetizer has been delicious every time we've had it. The Tyrolean Schnitzel main dish is so so good ( very generous portion) along with the cucumber salad and the bratkartoffeln (potatoes with onions). The service was great and the staff is very friendly. We had a great view of the lake from our table and the music was a very nice accompaniment while having dinner. We finished our meal with a light but decadent chocolate mousse. I would recommend The Breezy to anyone who would like a great meal in a cozy, on the lake setting!

I’ve eaten here twice this (2023) spring/summer and had a great experience both times. The service was prompt, accommodating, and friendly, I’ve had the bacon jam burger and the soft shell crab sandwich which were both unexpected and excellent. Serious cocktails and craft beers on draft. The views are incredible, it’s rare to find a place with that and get a great meal with attentive service. Can’t wait for my next visit!

We were hiking in the area and looked up places along the way to grab a late lunch and enjoy the beautiful weather on the lake. We stopped here and had a really nice experience. The lake view was amazing, very friendly service, great music and food, just an overall great time. We did notice people staying in the rooms next to the restaurant but my question is, how do we reach out to book them? Would love to try that out as well!

We loved The Breezy. The food was so fresh and delicious. No one rushed us and we were able to enjoy the beautiful lake scenery. Our waitress was bright and cheerful ,she was fun to talk to and very knowledgeable about the area.We enjoyed a tender steak, lobster roll and shrimp, all soooo good. We will most definitely go back!

My husband and I had a wonderful meal. I really enjoyed my lobster roll and the coconut shrimp appetizer was great! It was busy but we enjoyed the beautiful view. Our waitress, Heidi was wonderful!

I stopped in yesterday for a late lunch...so happy I did!! Was driving around the area checking out the local restaurants trying to decide which one. I will say, this place doesn’t look like much from the street view, but once I pulled into the dockside parking lot around back — WOW!!!! Total hidden gem!! The most amazing lake view I’ve ever seen. I sat on the deck and had a lobster roll and French onion soup. The lobster roll was deliciously delightful, and the French onion soup — best I ever had (and I’m quite particular about French onion soup)
Waitstaff were pleasant and accommodating and the ambience of their outdoor seating is like a little slice of Heaven.
If you go to Greenwood Lake, put The Breezy on your must do list!!

Absolutely love this place. Cute little outdoor seating with amazing food. My in-laws and friends have stayed in their hotel rooms many times and have always had the best experience. Highly recommend for local lodging. Aileen is fantastic!

The atmosphere is incredible!!! I came across this restaurant while looking for a weekend house in that area. The food taste (and temperature) is very consistent throughout my return visits with the family. The decor is a bit dated but comfortable. Service is a bit slower than what I'm used to, but that gives you more time to take in the breathtaking views of the lake. Staff members are "courteous" and not over-reaching "in your face friendly" (a welcomed relief I'd say). For those who are disappointed because the steak is not perfect, or the burger was slightly over cooked... you are missing the point. This is a place you go to escape from stress and to unwind. If you expect a perfectly cooked steak, go to a steak house in Manhattan. Otherwise, stop complaining and sit back at a waterfront table with friends and family while taking in the sights and sounds of a day filled with laughter and joy from all around you.

****** Update... as of last week, it's no longer the Breezy Point Inn... New owner, new menu (which has a very limited selection), new chef (I believe). Not only is the menu very limited, no alcohol is being served (I'm assuming they haven't received the liquor license yet)... Based on my first experience with the change over, a 3 star rating would be more accurate...
I'll keep my rating as 5 star for now, will return in a few weeks and see what improvements were made.

Stunning views. Amazing food. Wonderful service. I brought my dog to the outdoor seating area and the waitress was so lovely. I would absolutely recommend this place. Such a cozy little lakeside restaurant. Great place to have lunch and just watch the lake.

Absolutely lovely experience: the food, the views, the staff - all of it. I was particularly fond of the Tyrolean Schnitzel. It was delicious! Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Love the Breezy, glad its back. The place has had a makeover and it’s wonderful. We have eaten here many times over the years and have stayed over. The service as well as the food is very good. The schnitzel is now Tyrolian style, which is different but delicious. I also think the potato pancakes should be added as a mainstay for sides. Beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the lake. Whenever we are staying in or near Greenwood Lake, we dine here.

5 Stars for the food but can I go higher for the view of the lake? I strongly recommend this place. The ribs were excellent too. Sitting outside with a cold drink at this place looking over the water was so relaxing. A true hidden treasure just 20 minutes from my home. So glad we discovered this place. Cant wait to go back this weekend.

The owners of The Breezy(the Bailey family) is the best. Especially Aileen. My fiance and I came to Greenwood lake for my birthday and we were completely taken care of. We were checked into a beautifully renovated room steps from the water. The food at the restaurant was also perfectly made. 2 lobster rolls in one entree!!! Perfect crab cakes.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal with two other couples that included Paul's mother's home made recipe for meatballs. Yum. Lovely oysters and shrimp. Yum, yum. And a scrumptious dessert. 5 stars and then some. You must give the new Breezy a try. Dr. Calvin Hargis

Recently, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Breezy Point Restaurant and Inn in Greenwood Lake, NY. From the first day, I was welcomed and made to feel at home. A staff photograph was being taken. I was invited to be in the picture and referred to as “part of the family”. Saturday and Sunday breakfast were prepared for the staff before starting work, again I was always invited to join in. On several occasions, I was able to sample delicious items from the regular menu and special items from the Oktoberfest Buffet. The General Manager was my immediate Supervisor who taught me many things. I observed the servers, practicing skills she includes in her training program. One of the co-owners, who is also the chef, held meetings before each shift to discuss menu items, specials, wines and beers with the staff. The other co-owner, was always available to help with whatever task was needed. He was amicable and willing to offer me this opportunity to spend time with them for the internship. From the restaurant, to the kitchen, to the bar I am able to say that everyone was wonderful and I thank you for the experience.
