It was my first visit there and ambiance was soaked into enriched Indian environment. The people were very nice and welcoming. Food was up to the mark. Despite of busy evening of weekend with two private parties were going on, there was no compromise in quality of service.

Fantastic Indian food, and really great, friendly service. I had the Chicken Tikki Masala (medium spicy) and butter naan. Next time I will order it hot, the medium was very flavorful, but I wouldn’t mind it spicier. It’s hard to tell until you’ve gone to an Indian restaurant, how spicy the food there will be, I would say the medium is a true medium here. I will come back again. The Tikki Masala was a generous portion and I ate less than half.

Had the lunch buffet and it was really good. Not a lot of choices but it was hot and very tasty. The chicken curry and paneer tikka masala were my favorites. The moong dal dessert was very good too.

I have contacted Jhopri to cater for my daughters birthday, from the start the staff especially Nilesh was very welcoming, helped us taste a few dishes on the Menu. We requested customizing the dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions and also wanted to include a few dishes that werent available on the menu, the staff was able to accommodate our request.
On the day of the event, to my surprise all the dishes were prepared on-site rather than being prepared at the restaurant and transported to the venue, which is what typically happens. Team Jhopri coordinated very well to server fresh meals to all the guests. Dishes included Spinach Chat (live station), Vepudu chicken, Fish Amritsari, Veg Hakka Noodles, Jhopri Special Biryani, Veg Biryani, Goat Curry Andhra Style, Paneer Tikka Masala, Bhindi Masala, pineapple Kesari & Rasmalai. All the dishes were delicious, the guests raved about the food and everyone enjoyed the live chat station. All the guests made sure to mention to me that the food was amazing and they had one of their best meals ever. As a host I felt very proud to have chosen Jhopri for this important event and am forever grateful to team Jhopri for making it a huge success.

I've visited this place a handful of times and every time I visit its a new experience with amazing service. Tonight I went with a friend and my daughter. We were entertained by live singers while we enjoyed our dinner. The food is always amazing and our server always greets and treats us so special. He even gave recommendations for us to try something new according to our taste. The first Sunday of every month they serve traditional food on banana leafs. Also if you join during their buffet hours you will be able to try many types of dishes until your heart is fulfilled. We walked away with food to take home because it's that good and we will forever return here.

Working with Nilesh to organize a charity event for our Somerset Franklin Lions Club was truly enjoyable. Nilesh not only grasped the significance of our goals but also proved incredibly accommodating in setting up the event. Collaborating with him was an absolute pleasure.

The success of our event owes much to the entire Jhopri TEAM--a group of excellent and humble members. A heartfelt thanks goes to our friend Venkat for his invaluable support throughout the event.

Great food and staff!! We really enjoyed their special monthly banana leaf lunch (different menu each month) and the Mother’s Day dinner. Jhopri is brining our community together not just with a great variety of quality food but also with their passion for music. Looking forward to the menu for the next banana leaf lunch!!

The open, classy, regal blue interiors are a stark contrast to the plain exterior of Jhopri! Was here for a private event in the hall at the back of the restaurant and got to try a few vegetarian delicacies.

The Gobi 65 was astonishingly crispy and appetizing. Kothu paratha was finally chopped and flavorful. The veg biryani had fried bread pieces that reminded me of home and creamy mix-veg raita to go with. The Dal tadka had the perfect texture and great taste. Wrapped up with lip-smacking curd rice - keen to know what they put in it!

Their warm hospitality and friendly service added to the experience. Would surely go again.

It was such a good experience at Jhopri for me. We had our private event there and they assigned their hall. Food was amazing. The appetizers were highlight of the event and even the ambience of the restaurant is amazing. Plus, the people who work there are very friendly and welcoming. Palak chaat, harabhara kabab, daal tadka and gobi Manchurian till date this the place I got best taste.

We had one of our family wedding events here and everything was perfect. The food and serves and cooperation from the staff was excellent. All our family members were raving about the food. Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner and banquet needs.

Our recent cultural event at Jhopri was an absolute delight.

The staff, especially the host, went above and beyond to accommodate our cultural (marathi)needs. The customized Marathi menu was a highlight, each dish a masterpiece showcasing the flavors of our heritage. Guests couldn't stop raving about the delicious food.

We hosted a dinner for a small gathering of 35 people to celebrate our daughter’s wedding at JHOPRI on Memorial Day Monday 2024. They opened the restaurant and banquet hall just for us!

The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and professional, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious. We had opted for all vegetarian food, the spinach, chaat, Malai kofta and the moong daal halwa were exceptional!! As were all the other items.

Nilesh Was helping me with the event was very easy to reach and he was on top with his response time and advice about the menu selection. I loved how he replied to any queries right away. Thank you Nilesh!

We have booked the party hall and food was really great very reasonable priced and awesome quality. Couldn’t ask for more. They let us bring drinks from outside and they arranged bar table.

We catered from Jhopri for a small gathering. The food was warm and the service impeccable, not to mention that everything we ordered was delicious. They not only delivered the food on time, but also left the food warmers so the guests could enjoy the hot food. Cannot recommend this place enough. Special thanks to Nilesh!!

We held a Baby Shower at Jhopri and we are immensely pleased. The Manager Nilesh helped us greatly from start to finish and their staff was on top of everything. All of our guests raved about the food and said they would come there again. Great ambience inside for an event. Would definitely host there again!

We catered from Jhopri for my husband’s 50th birthday, service and food both were fantastic. Chennai chili chicken, veg and chicken biryani all were so delicious and curd rice had a cooling effect and of course rasa malai was icinf on the cake. The level of professionalism was amazing, set up everything before guests arrived and was hot through the party. Definitely recommend for all your parties.

I recently visited Restaurant Jhopri in Plainsboro and had a fantastic dining experience. The manager, Nilesh, warmly welcomed me, and Chef Sandy's culinary skills did not disappoint!

The food was authentically South Indian, with bold flavors and perfect spicing. I tried the Goat curry and the jhopri special Biryani, both of which were cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.

The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. Nilesh made sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal.

We hosted our daughter’s 4th birthday party at Jhopri. Nilesh accommodated our late request to give us a portion of restaurant for party. Best thing was, whatever he promised, he delivered on the day of event. Food was so good that everybody vouched for it. Service was top class. There was not even a single request we made and was denied. Above all, Nilesh is very accommodating and keeps maintaining relation with customers above money. I would always consider and recommend this place. Kudos to the team!

I don't give reviews lightly as a foodie, but Jhopri did a great job of making me feel at home while catering to us as soon as possible. The food came out quick, tasted delicious and was full of flavor across getting their mango Chutney, their Garlic Naan, Soups, and a great new twist on the use of pani puri. We're looking forward to our leftovers, let alone what we ate tonight. Very friendly staff, very nice space, and will definitely go back.
