The people at this Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations!
Chris from Maintenance, was especially helpful in resolving a bathtub that would not stay filled. He not only checked tubs in alternative rooms to check functioning, but to save me the trouble of moving to another room, located, tested and installed the part in my room so I didn't have to leave my room.

Jared facilitated my printing a file in color, though the lobby printer was b&w and Erica was great at the front desk... very friendly, communicative and attentive.

This Holiday Inn is in a beautiful and natural location. My room was spacious and comfortable...The pillows and linens were great as was the heating/cooling system. I intend to rebook here whenever I need accommodations in this area.

I had an amazing stay! I love the grounds of the property with the lakes, waterfalls, and nature trails. I love that there are a lot of little spaces to sit and eat and relax. The breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast. I’ve had to date. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Thanks Jenn B for helping give my little grandson a few extra minutes in the swimming pool. She was so caring and friendly!
My room was absolutely perfect. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. I could not believe the value of this hotel. The pool is perfect for small kiddos. There are plenty of steps in shallow pool plate space. The water temperature is perfect. I could not get my little three-year-old out of the pool !

Jennifer at the front desk is simply amazing. I wish all your employees could be like her. She’s personality plus, very professional and goes above and beyond for each guest. I stay frequently at this hotel and it’s always nice to see and talk to her.

This is a sliding scale rating, but this property seems like one of the top choices in the Princeton/Plainsboro area for those looking for an affordable hotel. It sounds like it was largely shuttered/severely scaled back during the pandemic, but seems seem to be ramping back up to normal operations. Now, don't get me wrong, this hotel is WEIRD. It is connected to the Crowne Plaza next door via a skybridge that leads you through the convention center. It definitely looks like the Holiday Inn Express side of the property war originally part of the Novo Nordisk office complex, but a wing was sold off and converted to hotel rooms. As a result, the floor plan looks like no other hotel you'll ever stay in again. It's not a bad thing, it's just odd. The Holiday Inn Express side is also pretty small, we counted just over 40 rooms. The rooms themselves are still in old HIE style, but mine was very clean and well maintained. The staff was absolutely outstanding, with Jennifer at the front desk as an absolute standout. She constantly engaged with my boys, had all sorts of suggestions and tips during our stay and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed.
Now, for the true advantage of staying here. Thanks to that connecting skybridge, guests at the Holiday Inn Express are welcome to use all of the facilities at the neighboring Crowne Plaza. That includes the huge pool and gym, racketball and squash courts, tennis court and tennis court. There's also a series on nature trails that wind through the woods and lake in the middle of the office park that are quite nice and very well maintained. Thanks to the consolidation of services, the breakfast bar on the first floor is currently closed, but that's not a bad thing. Since all stays at Holiday Inn Express include free breakfast, guests are eligible to eat at the breakfast buffet at the Forrestal Grill over at the Crowne Plaza, which is far more extensive that your standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast. So, the buffet that the Crowne Plaza charges its guests $20 per person for is free for HIE guests. Not a bad deal. So, despite its age, the benefits of staying here are numerous. It will be my top choice when staying in the Princeton/Plainsboro area in the future.

A conference center Hotel near princeton. When I've been there for work it's generally been very quiet.

It's not the most modern place in the world but has a good gym, is clean, breakfast is much better than other places at equivalent price point, and is well located.

Good place to stay 👍

I have stayed here twice, this time for a week and I will be happy to stay here anytime I am in Princeton. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The grounds are beautiful with a walking path through the trees and around a nice lake with a fountain. It's definitely more upscale than I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. The breakfasts have been wonderful and plenty of amenities on site and in the rooms.

Recently I traveled to the Princeton area for work and after being rerouted numerous times from my "WAZE APP", I was tired and frustrated. With this being my first time staying at a Holiday Inn Express, I did not know what to expect. From the point of arrival, the front desk clerk, Gifford made me feel safe and right at home. He was friendly and very personable. He advised me of all the hotel amenities and even told me where to grab a quick bite inside of the hotel. He also shared how beautiful the hotel grounds were during the day....and boy was he so right. It was absolutely breath taking. The gym exceeded all expectations just as he described.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area. It’s conveniently located close to good restaurants, shops, movie theatres, etc and with out saying...I hope that you get an opportunity to meet Gifford.

My experience at this Holiday Inn was wonderful. For starters, the building was well-designed, and spacious. The rooms were large, well-furnished, and had comfortable beds with immaculate linen. The television service wasn't that great though. Every channel was fuzzy, and appeared as if they were using an old antenna, digital service would have been more enjoyable. Another minor annoyance was that there were not enough power outlets close to the bed, which meant that of the two of us in a double room, only one of us could keep our phone bearby and leave it charging overnight. Though there were two outlets on the dividing nightstand, the alarm clock consumed one of them. Alarm clocks that have a built-in power outlet would address this. Lastly, the free breakfast, was amazing, with a large variety to choose from.

This place was really great for me. The staff is friendly and it was in a convienent location for me. Breakfast was pretty good! They had coffee, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, omelettes (veggie or cheese), biscuits and gravy, some meat, and a few pastries. My room as a whole was good, they offer both firm and soft pillows and a coffee maker and refrigerator in room.

Very clean, nice, modern facility. Breakfast was great - especially the biscuits and gravy! Our AC unit wasn't working when we arrived, but maintenance arrived 10 minutes later and had our whole unit replaced with a working one in less than an hour. We were really impressed with the staff during our stay.

Lovely long work week of rest. It was about five days of enjoyment fir me during fall 2014. While hubby worked nearby, I enjoyed lounging at the hotel and walking the trail around the lake under the walkway. When I wasn't at the hotel, I was enjoying nearby Princeton. Access to main roads is vet convenient. If my hubby and I were to relocate to this area, we would choose to stay at this Holiday Inn where both my young and my retired old service dogs would enjoy the trail like I did.

This is one of the nicest Holiday Inn Expresses. It's in a quiet, wooded atmosphere. The facilities are great. The pool is shared with a neighboring hotel, and it is very large and indoor. The staff is kind and the free breakfast was well stocked.

Stayed two nights. Friendly Front Desk staff. Breakfast was a little bland and there weren't many options, but I guess that's normal for a free continental breakfast. It was great to have access to the hotel next door since they offer more amenities.

For a Holiday Inn Express, this is as good as it gets.

Rooms are quiet, all facing the woods in the rear.

The free breakfast is OK. I liked that they had chobani yogurt, fresh walnuts, and bananas.

The recreational area really sets this hotel apart from other hotels. Holiday Inn Express guests are welcome to use the huge & warm swimming pool, jacuzzi, indoor basketball, racquetball, and billiards facilities in the attached Crowne Plaza conference center.

I loved the hotel. Due to my mistake on the booking date, Tina who works the front desk really made the effort to make sure my fiance and I got a room. My gratitude goes to her and her Manager. Thank you. I will be staying here more often. Tina is the best!!!!

Thank you Tina for making mine and my fiance stay a great one!

This is a very nice hotel! Clean, updated. In a good location with easy access to highway but still private. Phone and directions want to send you to the Crown but it's one turn earlier. Highly recommend!

As hotels go, this is the nicest complex for the price. The grounds are beautiful. The complex is extensive. You can get a great workout indoors or outdoors. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, however.

This Holiday Inn Express is same as all the others but different in one big way: It's located a short distance off Highway 1 and is part of a larger conference center, sharing meeting facilities with a Crowne Plaza hotel. The setting is Beautiful.. trees, birds, ponds, and deer walking through the woods. The zig-zag layout means that every room has a great view of the outdoors and it's VERY quiet. It was such a wonderful retreat away from the New Jersey traffic. Otherwise, it's like a Holiday Inn Express...clean, nice, not luxurious, but very reasonably priced. (They apparently share the fitness room with the Crowne Plaza...it was really nice.) It's well worth going a couple miles down Scudder's Mill Road to get away from the highway. We will stay there again the next time we're in NJ. A couple of notes: The GPS will take you to the Crowne Plaza...your entrance is closer to Highway 1, look for the signs. Also, if you want more than the house breakfast and have some time, there is a cute little town called Cranbury just a few miles farther down Scudder's Mill...ask for directions.
