The Holland

This place is a hidden gem. It is very close to Newport station and takes less than an hour to reach main attractions in NYC. When we checked in, Harry was extremely helpful. He not only greeted us well and, but also came out of his desk to show us the path to go to Newport station. He also shared a guide map copy of the location. Breakfast is in downstairs in front of reception with 4 seating inside and more outside patio.There is couple of sweets options with juices, yogurt, coffees and fruits. If you are visiting from UK, you might find portion size is a bit big. The room is quite spacious. We took a king room. Although housekeeping is on request, they cleaned our room on the second day, which we were not prepared for.

This place is a hidden gem. It has renovated rooms, which are not large, but are well taken care of and clean, are just right for those spending their entire day in the city. Its a short 10min walk to the PATH which is well lit, and feel safe when walking at night. Let's not forget to mention the FREE parking!

Best place to stay with Clean rooms, front desk was good.
When you stay here, you can even park your car and take the public transit if you wanna spend time in NYC and around Jersey City.
Don't forget to explore the newport harbor side.

This was a great overnight stop before starting our cruise. Less than 20 minutes drive from the cruise terminal. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was surprisingly good, especially the croissants. Friendly helpful staff

We found this on google and decided to try it for our first time in NYC. Thank god we did! Such an amazing place, close to the path subway which takes you straight into downtown. This is a hidden Gem on the jersey Hudson shore. From the hotel it took us 10 minutes to walk to the Newport train station. Took 10 minutes to get to the World Trade Center plaza. Rooms were clean. Very nice. Good little grab and go breakfast and coffee. I’m picky when I travel but I’m 100% happy with this hidden stay right outside the holland tunnel. If you want to save $300+ a night in nyc stay here!

Excellent option instead of staying in NYC, it looks like its been updated recently(stayed here 10 years ago too), we felt very safe in and around the hotel and walking to the PATH(10min walk). Pastries for breakfast from a local bakery were amazing too! Rooms were not big, but most certainly adequate. If you want to spend double the price, stay in the City.

Rooms were a bit small for 3 people but it was comfortable enough. The front desk people were super friendly and helpful with directions. Big parking lot with free parking - excellent location.

Close to Path train, very kind and polite staff. Some rooms are next to highway exit, so the road noise might be bothering at night, but complimentary breakfast is a nice gesture that makes up for it. Much better than manhattan accommodations.

Nice location. Window view to the skyline of New York (its on the other side of the East River but still amazing, especially at night time).
My room was looking to the street but it was not noisy at all!

May 3 to May 7, 4 days stay. For visiting New York. This hotel is situated in New Jercy, but is well connected to New York by train and bus services. Good stay and amenities. Good location.

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast and always fresh coffee all day! They let me check in early and leave my car in the lot when I went to NYC the next day even though I checked out. The only thing I would recommend to them is to have free water in the lobby like they do with the coffee.

For a 2 star hotel, it's better than its rating. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is great.

I am writting this review half year after our stay here, but better later than never :D We have been here only one night from 30th June to 1st July, before we moved to Manhattan. But the stay here was great. The staff was really lovely :) The room was clean and breakfast was delicious. Plus the view from terrace druing breakfast was amazing. And it's not far away from subway.

This place was perfect. Affordable, quiet, and relaxing. It was close to the mall, and the train station so you can get to New York and visit all there is to see in New York without the prices of time square nor the traffic. Staff were very friendly and respectful. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and quiet. Very reasonable rates. And just a block from the tunnel to NYC. If I ever go back to New York I will definitely book a room here

The Holland Hotel is a Jersey City Gem! We needed a safe place to park & sleep at night for trips into the city.
It’s a quick walk to catch the PATH. The rooms are clean & they manage a sweet little continental breakfast in the lobby. The staff are kind & very helpful! We’ve been so grateful for a place to stay without needing to drive into the city. We’ve stayed twice for a sisters trip & will be back again!

The front desk is friendly and considerate, and they offer free parking with breakfast, which is convenient for travelers and visitors. and also the room is very tidy and clean. I love the decoration which is very simple and they keep the refrigerator and microwave, which are very functional. If I come around Manhattan again, I would definitely come to visit here and book their room.

This is listed as a 2-Star but it is EVER BIT 5-Star. The service was amazing and the owners own a pastry store so the breakfast was so delicious.

The rooms are super cute and it is just a wonderful family place to stay.

We traveled 7 to visit New York. We did a reservation the same day and we didn’t have any problem. The hotel was clean, safe garage, and delicious breakfast
