I was assigned D and P plumbing through my HSA warranty. I was worried at first as I was previously assigned a different company who was terrible and actually caused more issues with my request. The issue continued to get worse so I requested a new company come out. D and P showed up the very next day with a team of knowledgeable plumbers who identified the issue within minutes. Turns out, they have been going around fixing issues of the previous companies mess ups! Unfortunately, they were only able to do a temporary band aid as the previous company did that bad of a job to where they couldn’t fix the problem due to stolen parts that weren’t replaceable. However, they were able to provide an explanation and tips and directions on our next steps to getting it fixed. Would use them again!

AHS referred D & P Plumbing to replace my water heater and garbage disposal. Don installed the water heater perfectly! He was unable to fix the garbage disposal due to an electrical problem with the switch, but he did repair a leaking pipe under the sink without my asking and free of charge!
Don was incredibly helpful, personable & professional. He was knowledgeable, efficient, polite and he knows his trade well. Based on his job performance, I can tell that Don really prides himself on making sure the customer is always satisfied.
Don took the time to answer all my plumbing questions and explain things to me in a way that was easy for me to understand. He also provided useful tips and information on the maintenance of both the water heater and garbage disposal.
Overall, I was highly satisfied with the excellent service provided by Don. I will definitely request Don at D & P Plumbing for all of my future plumbing problems. And, I highly recommend him to anyone with plumbing issues!

Wow, great service! D&P plumbing just fixed a shower leak that was causing secondary water damage in our kitchen.. he is extremely knowledgeable, patient and thorough. I am so thrilled that after several different companies who were unable to diagnose the problem he was able to correct the issue and give insightful tips on how to correct other issues he noticed along the way. I highly recommend D&P plumbing for your service needs...you will not be disappointed!! Thanks Don :)

They did a great job getting my main sewer line running smoothly again. When other company's just wanted to immediately go the most expensive route, they gave me multiple options to consider backed with knowledge to make the right decision. He was on time, professional, and genuinely knew how to fix the problem. Also, Priced reasonably compared to the multiple other companies I had estimates from.

D&P were quick to arrange an appointment and stayed in constant communication until the plumber arrived. They were very professional fixed the issue quickly. I would use them again if other issues arrived.

Don did fantastic work in hot water heater replacement. Very professional and helped explain what needs to be done and finished at a reasonable cost.

Don came out after I had submitted a claim thru AHS warranty company regarding an extensive leak in my basement bathroom shower / bathroom.

The first time he came out with a partner he told my wife it was just the nature of the fixture and it was residual water sitting in the pipe.

Water continued leaking. I called back and they came out again…no tools. They literally walked downstairs and looked at it and said there was no issue then left. I this leak is so extensive it fills up a 5 gallon bucket every 2 days.

Never once even touched a pipe. Just looked at it and left.

I tried getting the, back out and was told by AHS warranty company that they refused the job. Unbelievable. This guy has talked down about other plumbers poor service to me and now he is literally doing what he said they do. Very shady. Zero communication. Will not return calls. Avoid this company unless you are prepared to be disappointed and angry.

They were sent out by American Home shield warranty company. I was told that the guy was very personable and seemed to be very detailed oriented. I waited a week and her nothing from either the warranty company or the plumber. I called American Home shield and I also called DMP and it's been 3 days and I still have not had my situation resolved. You can't leave a message due to the fact that the answering machine is not able to accept any more messages. It's been like that day in and day out. That's very unsatisfactory. If the work is done correctly, I will update my review.

Would not recommend. They came out, said they would order parts and have not returned calls since. They were dispatched by American home shield.

FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF YOUR FAMILY! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I am writing this review, to hopefully save someone else’s family from what turned out to be a complete horror story, but in real life!
This company was the ‘assigned contractor’ from American Home Shield. From the beginning there were signs of SCAM written all over. Upon initial meeting, the proclaimed owner, stated he would give a discount if a check was written directly to him versus his company name. Weird right? Being in the position of needing a water heater, and American Home Shield sending out what was supposed to be a competent contractor the work proceeded. Things got even worse! They cut ‘Copper’ pipping out of the house without advance notification and replaced it with PVC pipping. In addition, they replaced the water heater with a lower gallon size which was not comparable to the one they removed. More antics! After speaking with the owner about the matter, several excuses and lies were provided. With being respectfully confronted about the work, he reported he would not be coming back out to fix any of the work that was done.
Even though his work was FAILED by HEALTH INSPECTORS! After failing to complete the work he was contracted to complete and creating health violations, he then proceeds to send several ‘threatening messages.’ I will sum this up by expressing, if this company is recommended to you, run far away! The work is inadequate and dangerous, the customer service is nonexistent, they have proven to be liars and thieves!

We were referred to this plumber through our home warranty through American Home Shield. We at first tried reaching out to them via phone when they were assigned and they would not call back. Finally, we texted and were able to get in touch. The plumber came out, said what needed to be done and that it would be a week to replace our hot water heater. Ok, no big deal. Then, he submitted his proposal to the home warranty company saying "modifications" were needed. He was replacing the water tank and expansion tank. This required removing both and the piping surrounding it. He said that he needed to modify the pipe structure--but really he was just installing new around the new expansion tank. Because he worded it as a modification, the home warranty wouldn't cover, so we simply reached out asking if he could explain he wasn't modifying existing, he was adding the new pieces a bit differently than the old we installed--but it still involved removing all pipes. He immediately began responding rudely saying we needed to contact the home warranty company (we did, they told us to reach out to him) and saying he didn't understand how he could word it differently and he was just trying to do a good job but we were welcome to find someone else. We simply were asking for him to be more specific in his description so that we could have our costs covered. He was combative and rude and so we ended up going for a cash-out option. When asked to provide feedback on the contractor through American Home Shield, we did not provide a great review of the contractor since he had been less than helpful and rude. We immediately received a text that said "Wow!! You do realize I have all of our conversations on record! This is why we text only! Just so we have a record of the conversation! I'll be sure to turn all these in to our contractor rep and your score of 1 will be taken down. Thank you for your time and your honesty it's been a real privilege."

WOW is right! I DO NOT recommend this plumber and even more so, hope he is dropped from American Home Shield's list of preferred contractors. He could at least answer the phone or call back and say "hey, I prefer to text" instead of just ignoring you when you call. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY.

Expansion tank has been spewing water for days. AHS dispatched D&P to the rescue. Besides receiving an email from American Home Shield to confirm an appointment, I never heard from D&P. After trying four different times to contact Don on the day he was supposed to come service my water heater, he finally sent me a text to let me know that he was two hours behind schedule and he "may have to cancel" (after he was already four hours late for my appointment). After asking if he could reschedule to the following morning, he told me no can do, he has "way too many water heaters" to take care of. Well good for you buddy, guess you don't want my business and I hope AHS drops you as a contractor because it looks like this isn't the first time you've screwed them over.

Unprofessional and non-responsive. I hope no one ever has to deal with them.

I was assigned this company by my home warranty company. They don't answer their phone, they don't respond to voicemails or emails, but they will tell you that you need to communicate better. I can't comment on their plumbing skills, but the way they manage their business - I would strongly recommend avoiding.

We cannot recomend this company. D & P, our home warranty contractor, came out for diagnostics and repair of our septic system in August. D & P did not check the voltage to the new pump he installed, and the brand new pump motor sustained damage within months running at the wrong voltage, which the manufacturer told us would be expected since D & P did not diagnose the difference between the voltage it needed and the voltage it was receiving. We had to hire a different plumber to diagnose and repair the system correctly. The second plumber had no accreditation as an electrician. Yet, they told us checking the voltage should have been part of the original diagnostics. In fairness to D & P, D & P did offer to come out again to review the system after we had the expert plumber diagnose the root cause. However, he lost our trust when he told us he was not qualified to work on the electrical system and misrepresented to us what the pump company said about the damaged pump (i.e. "the damaged pump can run several more years on the corrected voltage" vs there is no telling how long the damaged pump can run - it could be several months or several years). Bottom line is that had we been able to choose our contractor through our home warranty company, we would have saved about $1k and not had the problem twice.

Called D&P on Oct.17 2019 never got a real person just a machine. Never talked to anyone. Fast forward to Nov. 18, received a bill from my home warranty company. Called to see why, he claims he came to my house and fixed the problem on Oct. 21. Did I mention no one was home from Oct. 19 - Oct. 28, we were in Mexico. I have my travel documents to prove it. This company is a total scam!!!!!

On Tuesday, April 5, 2016, Donald Aicholtz with D&P Plumbing came out to my home to fix a garbage disposal. He was referred by American Home Shield. He ended up replacing the garbage disposal, but failed to remove the plug from the connection to the dish washer. I had no idea he failed to do his job correctly, and as such, when the dishwasher was run the first time after he installed the new garbage disposal, it backed up and flooded my kitchen. This flood caused damage to the floor in the kitchen.

At first I thought it was the dishwasher, but I called him first to see if he may have messed up when installing the disposal. He had us check to see if the plug was still intact and it was. He asked if there was any secondary damage and I said yes, as the floor had started to bubble where the dishwasher leaked. He said his insurance would cover it.

He came back out on Saturday, April 9, to remove the plug. I assumed he did that correctly, but now the sink won't drain even though it was draining just fine before he came.

We contacted him for additional assistance, and now he is saying this new issue isn't his fault and refuses to acknowledge that the floor damage was his fault either. We sent him photos of the damage, but he is saying there is no way to prove he caused the damage and has gone so far to say we are just using him to get a new floor (all because I tried to make him feel better about the damage when I said "well I guess we can get a new floor now"). I just bought this house and I have an inspection report that shows the floor was not damaged before he came.

We have tried working with him, but he has devolved to name calling and childish responses (even though he was the one who failed to do his job correctly in the first place).
