Great place to stay close to Hocking Hills. We stayed in the Egret cabin. It was the furthest away from the fun center. Which was tucked away nice and quiet. It's tricky to get there. But GPS was correct. Nice friendly staff and way better priced than other cabins in the area. Highly recommend. It was spotless and bathhouse was clean as well.

*Edit: we decided to stay an extra night and camped out in our tent at the main spot "up top" they also have huge campground on the way in. They sell firewood, the color stuff for fire and ice. Plus you can add it in when you make your reservation.

Stayed labor day weekend and back two weeks later with grand kids .
Very roomy lots , plenty of room for kids and pets, lots to do from the go carts , bounce pad and all the local attractions. Plus the staff is very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend for a nice weekend getaway

Very nice campground. Bathrooms were well maintained and clean, campsites were exactly as expected. I even showed up once they closed and they left my map with written directions on it for me at the office and called to let me know. Will definitely visit again!

Great place for the whole family! Whether you choose to go the old school primitive tent camping, or get a site with electric for those who need to charge your phones, or grab up one of the perfect little cabins..... There is something for everyone! Once you get settled, head over to the Fun Center for some friendly go-kart racing against your family or friends, hit the miniature golf course for 18-holes, jump until your heart's desire on the giant bounce pad for that big kid inside us adults, or let the younger kids play around in the splash pad area to cool off after a fun day! Take advantage of the 80s style arcade inside the office for some old school pinball games, or maybe even a good game of 8 ball pool! Enjoy the facilities and the people, create new friends and new relationships.

Was one of the few places that had attractions for kids under 5. Owner and staff were kind and helpful. Sure, the mini-putt-putt wasn't in the best shape, but our kids didn't care. They enjoyed the go-carts, jump pad, splash pad, putt-putt, and old video games.

On Monday and Thursday of Labor Day week, we tent camped there up on the hill. It was perfect! We were doing a bikepacking trip from Columbus to Athens and back. Given the temps were so warm, it was really nice to be able to shower in the clean bathrooms. The staff were really friendly and the campgrounds were quiet at night. It also helped to have the Rockbridge Burger King/carryout so nearby. We'll probably do this again someday.

The primitive camping is excellent. I've done a lot of primitive camping over the last 30 years, and I'll definitely be back. You'll notice that any negative reviews are about low go-kart speeds, the well-worn miniature golf course, or the fun center. If you feel you need a state of the art game room, fast go-karts, or an exceptional miniature golf course, you may want to go to Chuck E. Cheese or a place devoted to go-karts. If you want great primitive camping at a place that the kids will love, this is the place for you. The staff was friendly and good to the kids. You can order ice, firewood, and passes for the splash pad and mini-golf when you book, so they're waiting when you arrive.

I went with a friend and two kids, ages 4 and 8. Study the campsite maps and choose what suits you. The primitive sites along the river are spacious, wooded, and well maintained. There are plenty of freshly cleaned port-a-johns. The shower house is at the camp office and fun center. It has individual bathrooms with a shower, sink, and toilet that are clean and private. Most primitive campgrounds have dorm-type shower facilities with shower stalls and curtains for "privacy", shared sinks, and benches for your clothes and toiletries
that are hard to keep dry. Ugh. We were there on a Thursday and Friday, and showered in the afternoons with no wait time. We appreciated that the fun activities are by the shower house, so the kids were easily entertained while we took turns showering and supervising them.

The game room is old school, with inexpensive air hockey and pool, and vjntage pinball machines. The kids didn't care that the pool table surface was scuffed, and it was nice for us to not hover over them so they wouldn't scuff it lol. Same goes for the putt putt. You won't hear the go karts or the highway at the primitive camping area.

They maintain a family atmosphere, no loud partying or fireworks, and it all goes quiet at 10 pm, a huge plus for us. The RV camping, cabins, and some campsites closer to the fun center aren't wooded, which some people may prefer.

If you like campfires, camp cooking, pretty sunsets, and plenty of trees, near lots of Hocking Hills attractions like zip-lines, canoeing, caves, and hiking, this is for you. Just 20 minutes to two towns with grocery stores and fast food. A gas station and carry out are right next to the campgrounds, and a Dollar General is being constructed there, too. Dogs are welcome, and although we didn't bring any, the kids enjoyed seeing them.

All in all, a great camping experience, and especially fun for kids. I'm already plannning another visit this year with another family with children.
