At Boulders Edge Cabin and Tipi Retreat Hocking Hills

We stayed at Dot Calm in October for our elopement package. The cabin was very clean and well maintained and the entire area was beautiful. Frank and Renee made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck. The woods surrounding the cabin were gorgeous. Our only regret is that was couldn’t stay longer! Our ceremony was beautiful and was everything we wanted and more. We hope to be back for a future anniversary.

My boyfriend and I wanted a little getaway and neither of us had ever been to Hocking Hills. When I started looking for places At Boulders Edge came up. The reviews were great and we could bring our dogs with us. When we arrived we didn’t really know what to expect, but we ended up having the best time. We stayed in the Sky View. The cabin was very homey and cozy. We had plenty of room all around the outside of the cabin that was just for us. Plenty of privacy. And our dogs were just in heaven! When we arrived we were told there was an issue with our fireplace. But Frank and Renee were right on top of it! As soon as we left the next morning to go to the park, Frank came over and fixed everything right up! They were super helpful and friendly through our stay. We were so sad when the trip came to an end. Definitely recommend At Boulders Edge. We can’t wait to go back!

This joint is the only place I'll stay in Hocking Hills. I've now stayed at two of their cabins (Dot Calm and this time at Skyview) and both of them are wonderful. Frank and Renee are always kind and helpful when we check in, and are not far away if we ever need assistance (which as of this point we haven't needed, as everything has been wonderful.) Check in is easy, check out is easy. The whole experience is a joy!

We've come here on the week before Christmas for two years, and it's a welcome, relaxing time away from the hustle and running-around of the holidays. If you are looking for an escape, want to go antiquing or hiking, or just spend some time away from the rest of the world, then rent a cabin from At Boulders Edge. It's the perfect place for a getaway!

Important note for city folk- We always bring our own water to drink, since we aren't fond of the taste of well water, but the well water is good for everything else. 👍🏻

Brought my fiance here for a surprise weekend getaway for he's birthday he was so happy. We enjoyed our cabin it was so nice and relaxing! Couldn't of asked for a better weekend. The hot tub was my favorite! Wish we could of stayed longer but the experience was really great. We are even thinking about planning our wedding there 😊 thank you Frank and Renee we will be back 😊 see you guys soon!

Jason and I had the most incredible time. We met in high school and now 30 years later, we reconnected and decided to spend our New Year’s Eve and your most beautiful cabin at Boulder edge. We had the most relaxing fun amazing time. Thank you you for the best New Year’s. I’ve had in years. Your place is magical.

Second visit renting a cabin at Boulders edge, and couldn't be more pleased with the hospitality of the owners Frank and Renee. The cabin was very clean and inviting with the personal touches left to welcome you to the cabin. We were in need of a relaxing quiet getaway ,and that is exactly what we had, quality time walking, and enjoying spending uninterrupted time with each other and our 2 pups. We are already thinking of when we will be able to go again in the near future.

My spouse and I worked with Frank and Renee to plan our wedding for October 14, 2023. We were able to adjust their wedding packages to fit our needs. Communication with Frank and Renee during the planning process was easy. And we looked forward to check in!
Frank was a hoot to check in with. He helped us feel relaxed especially with our upcoming uniting ceremony.
We were booked for 3 nights at the DotClam Cabin. The location was secluded to help provide extra privacy. The mattress was comfortable, we slept great. We appreciated the amount of towels that were provided. We had enough for our three night stay for showers and use of the hot tub.
One of our favorite things was enjoying our morning coffee on the deck!
The hot tub was relaxing. The temperature was perfect. The candle provided a relaxing amount of light at night.
The location of the retreat was great. There were plenty of things near by. We did some shopping down the road and ventured into town to see some other attractions.
We enjoyed our stay so much! We're already planning a trip back!

Frank and Renee are wonderful hosts. Renee is very quick to answer any and all questions and Frank has a wealth of knowledge of the area. We stayed in SkyView cabin and it was wonderful. Everything is in close proximity to At Boulders Edge. We will definitely be staying here again.

We had a sister’s trip and stayed in the Tall Pines cabin. The cabin was beautiful with hand made bed frames, side tables and coffee table from live edge pine. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were perfect. We enjoyed the hot tub, an outdoor fire and the peaceful setting. Renee and Frank were very helpful with ideas for dinner and hikes. Looking forward to another stay in this awesome setting!

Great place! Had our daughters birthday and we absolutely loved the cabin and location! Hot tub is amazing! The rooms and beds are super comfortable. Everything very clean and very welcoming all the way around! I 100% recommend and would stay again.

We were married in Ash Cave (by Frank and Renee) in 2018 and come back to stay at the Dot Calm cabin every year for our anniversary. Frank and Renee go out of their way to make sure their guests have an amazing stay and have everything they need. The cabin is always exceptionally clean and we love the scavenger hunt for items in the cabin. We highly recommend At Boulders Edge for your next stay!

We stayed in the Dot Calm cabin with our pup and it was perfect! Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival and the deck was gorgeous! Frank was very helpful and welcoming when checking in an was able to give some wonderful tips about the area which we follow throughout our stay. The property was gorgeous, very well maintained, and amazingly peaceful! We plan on making a return trip in the fall to enjoy the beautiful fall colors on the property. Frank and Renee have created such a lovely place and we plan on visiting again as often as possible.

We had the destination wedding experience, including staying in one of the cabins. It was amazing! They handled our wedding beautifully. The cabin was spotless, charming, and private. We loved the hot tub and used it many times while there. We plan on coming back.

An incredible place to stay! The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed and more. The owners were fantastic! Just a beautiful setting. We are already planning our return visit. We couldn’t have found a better place!

We rented The Big Buck Tipi for the weekend and had the most amazing time. The Tipi is not what comes to mind when you think of a Tipi. It was huge. We had 2 queen air mattresses and a twin mattress in it and still had tons of space. The owner was full of useful information for the area that we followed and boy did he know what he was talking about. Everything was very clean, it's located within 15 minutes of anything you would want to do in the area, overall a wonderful experience. Will definitely be returning.

Stayed at the sky view cabin. Absolutely loved it. It was a perfect get away. Peaceful! Plus when you check in, the very nice gentleman gave us tips and tricks to navigate our way the best through the hikes. He saved us time and allowed us to have the best experience on our adventure. The cabin was very clean, away from others and a perfect view of the stars. We were sad to leave!

Stayed at the dot calm cabinet a little over a year ago and got married. Frank and Renee were great, and the cabin was adorable and so comfortable. Loved the floating bed. Had dinner cooked in our cabin by another lovely couple after our wedding that was so perfect for us! Definitely loved everything about this place and we hope to return sometime in the future!

The cabin was cozy, well-maintained and stocked and the owners could not have been nicer or more helpful. It was a fantastic location and I highly recommend staying here.

Stayed in Tall Pines with my husband, our kids (5 & 7), and our puppy. The owner/operators are very friendly and communicative. The cabin was clean and cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It had nice touches than many vacation rentals do not, including coffee, enough towels for bathing AND the hot tub, a fan (I’m one of those weirdos who can’t sleep in silence) and even sharp kitchen knives! The hot tub was great. The cabins are far enough apart that there’s plenty of privacy. Best of all, there’s a really cool nature preserve that you can hike right from the cabins. I would happily stay there again.
