A great reptile/exotic rescue. The volunteers really care. Also a great place to purchase used tanks, equipment, lighting, even working bulbs . Please consider donating money to this organization.

Absolutely amazing people, unfortunately I had to surrender of one of my pets to them and they gave me 100% confidence and trust in them and as sad as I am to have had to surrender my pet I am happy that he is with such amazing people. Thank you to everyone that I spoke to their!

They do really great work. I adopted my first pet, a ball python from them. I like how they quiz you on how you're going to take care of the animal before they consider you for adoption to make sure that it's going to a good home. We need more places like this in Ohio. Shout out to Keith, fighting the good fight out there.

We LOVE Herps Alive! Every time my son and I go in everyone is so kind, helpful and informative. They always go out of their way to make sure my son has a fun experience by letting him hold or feed some of the animals. Also, Keith has done 2 events for us and he's just fantastic. He's so good with the kids and he always brings the best crew of reptiles and amphibians to show. It's always a good time with Herps Alive!

What a hidden gem of adventure! Each rescued reptile (or amphibian) has a story and personality, brought to life by a staff of kind, knowledgeable caretakers. I can't wait to visit again and learn even more about these lizards, turtles, snakes, and toads... Don't forget to say hi to the tarantula at the front counter!

The Herps Alive Foundation is simply amazing.

This organization is completely ran by volunteers of all different strokes of life and experience.

The executive director, Keith, is an absolute pleasure to learn from and look up to as a role model.
He is incredibly experienced, easy to speak with, and is willing to help regardless of the situation.

The energy and vibe from this organization is far more positive than words can describe whether it be within the facility or meeting them at a public event they're working outreach at.

When you walk through the doors of the facility you're welcomed and offered assistance almost immediately - you don't even get that in most stores and the folks in stores are PAID not volunteers.

Nothing but positive things to say about the facility and the organization itself.

The facility houses several species of arachnid, amphibian, and reptiles.
They are all housed properly and given phenomenal care.

The facility is also equipped with a proper quarantine room, vet staff on hand, and so much more!

Even if you don't want to adopt a new family member, The Herps Alive Foundation is definitely somewhere to visit!

A great place to adopt, get supplies, or just visit some great reptiles! The staff is really knowledgeable, and if one doesn't know an answer, they'll find you someone who does. The animals are so well-cared for and healthy!

They were very informative on the information I needed in regards to my leopard gecko and was able to recommend me a reptile vet close by. You can tell that they absolutely love and take very good care of all of their reptiles. I will be returning when I go to get another reptile!!

This place was great, the manager was super nice and i talked to her about the different rescued reptiles they had there and she lets you interact with the reptiles with supervision. I held this savannah monitor that they found almost dead abandoned in an apartment and nursed him back to health, i fell in love and plan on adopting him after getting all the supplies to care for him. <3

This non-profit, all volunteer 5013(c) foundation serves an under-appreciated group of animals: reptiles and amphibians. They do great work and always do what they can to help the animals and make sure they go to good homes and help you find the animal you are looking for. It's a great place just to visit too, even if you aren't looking to add a new member to your family.

I have been going here for a couple years now to buy supplies (tanks, heating, food, dishes, etc.) and everyone there has always been beyond helpful with finding what I need and the pricing on everything is amazing. I have not adopted an animal here yet but am looking to get a snake sometime very soon and Herps Alive will be the first place I check. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who owns reptiles or is looking to get reptiles.

Also - how does the adoption process go?

This place cares about its animals tremendously and it’s customers. No question is too dumb, no purchase too small. The first reptile rescue and shop I’ve been in that wasn’t drowning in ego’s.

Amazing place that is run by dedicated, hard-working volunteers. I adopted a healthy bearded dragon named Rex from here and am in love with him.
