The Village Restaurant

This place is one of my favorites. I've been going here since I can remember. If you like old school style restaurants, this is the place for you. The decor hasn't changed since I was a kid and I'm 50 now. Wood paneled walls, vinyl booths, bar stools to sit at the counter, it's the 80s all over. All the food is good, but I recommend the chopped steak or the bacon cheeseburger, it's my fave from anywhere. However, they do close at 4:00 everyday.

We had dinner here last night with the family. We’ve never been here before, so it was all new. When you enter, the specials are on a marker board (as well as in dining rooms for your convenience). The initial appearance is a nice warm homey like feeling. Everything seemed clean & tidy. Our server “Alexis” was excellent!!! She was very attentive, never forgetting about us and following through with our requests… & no issues whatsoever.
The food is phenomenal! I had the barbecue ribs (which were boneless & tender). I got the homemade macaroni salad and coleslaw, which were both very delicious!! Others in our party all enjoyed their meals as well. I highly recommend the “Killer Fudge Brownie” (I give 100% on presentation of the desserts as well) being very yummy!! I was impressed by the menu printing and vast selections (not a deal breaker but they don’t serve alcohol). I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return if I’m in the area again. Very good place to eat and they give you big portions of food you won't leave hungry

The Village is a restaurant that my family frequents quite often. Thier food is comfort food and what you would expect from a old fashioned home cooking type menu. They have a rather large assortment of menu items so you can always find something that will tempt and please your taste-buds. I really like the retro feeling of the place too with it's turquoise 50/60s booth seating and the large round tables that a group can fit around. The Village is always packed full of people when we go and I never mind waiting for a table. All the wait-staff are truly wonderful and friendly and they seem to really care about your visit. Our waitress today checked back with us several times throughout the meal to ensure that we didn't need anything else. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and she went and placed that order and then came back and got our meal order. Within moments of her turning in our meal order, she was bringing out our appetizer. Before we were totally finished with the app, she was bring our food. Everything was hot and cooked perfectly. My go to meal when I go to The Village is their club sandwich. I always get the ham, turkey and bacon plus cheese and I've never had a problem with it yet. My son has a speech impediment and our waitress was so kind and patient to let him order what he wanted and he was so proud of himself that he got to order is own food. That alone will bring me back to The Village over and over again. Good Food, Good people and good prices! Keep up the great work.

For those of us who grew up in the fifties hot roast beef sandwiches was the main course. This place has what they called Manhattan roast beef and, it is very good. It is a closed Face Hot Roast Beef sandwich smothered in gravy with homemade potatoes and homemade coleslaw. No skimping here by serving an open face,these are closed face, Tasted excellent, beef was very tender. Staff are very nice they even have formica tables, also a formica counter looking right into the cabinet where the Home Made pies set, they look delicious. I had the homemade coconut cream pie, best I've had in years. I hear the roasted chicken is excellent the chicken is local and hand breaded here. They have a hamburger here called the tall boy, I did not try it today but I'm definitely coming back to give that sandwich a try

First time there! Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great. They treated us like we were regulars

Excellent food. Boasted pork chops...who knew? Very tasty. Homemade Cole slaw and potato salad was creamy and also, very good. Yummy.

Food was good loved it me and my husband's 1st time in ..I had the roast beef Manhattan. And apple pie

We stopped while traveling. The service was great. The server refilled drinks before ours were empty. The portions were large and the food was good. Pricing was very reasonable. I would stop again if I'm in the area. I would recommend The Village Restaurant to anyone.

Very good food... very forfilling... it's a must try place

The young waitress was very friendly and kind. She made us feel that we were the only people she was taking care of. Super sweet!
The macaroni salad is the BEST that I have ever tasted! Great place to eat and will highly recommend it!

Good food at excellent price point! Nothing fancy here, just a great, small-town, mom and pop place. Will be back if I'm in the area again.

Staff is excellent, food is homemade, boasted chicken is Awsome! Homemade pies and cakes also wonderful. Old skool Vibes which we love!

Had the lo boy burger and my coworker had the hi boy burger. Great cheeseburgers and enough fries to feed a person and a half each. Tab wasn't bad either. Great stop!

The best food consistently! Great prices..great service.. just yummy! I wish they had more small tables or fluffy people friendly booths. I feel bad sitting at a table for a big group for just 2 or 3 people, but being heavier we don't like to be crammed into the table while eating at a booth.

We always get great food every time! The chef salads and shredded chicken sandwiches are my favorite.

Pie. And all of the other things I remember from my childhood. 16 different pies. $1 ice cream. Lovely service. Go for the broasted chicken or other local faves.

Good food, generous portions. OUR waitress was THE BEST! She had been working double shifts, but was cheerful, happy& kept the coffee coming! Can't wait to go back. The Canadian Perch, & The Haddock where great.
