Such a cute and comfortable atmosphere. Super friendly staff and delicious from scratch options. We got the chicken parm with green beans and lasagna 😋 Can't wait to get back.

Went here on an early Saturday evening with some family around 4:30pm. This place is a must if you're in or traveling through the Upper Sandusky area. The atmosphere, food and service were above excellent. We ordered meatballs, mussels and bruschetta for appetizers. They were delicious. We also had unlimited bread delivered to the table. The bread was really good and that's coming from a person who doesn't like bread. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs with a side house salad which was awesome! Our server did an excellent job taking care of our table and was very knowledgeable about the food they served. Will be coming back again! Good job, Don Tomasso's! Best Italian food I've ever had!

Chicken parm was delicious And veggies seasoned just right. Waitress kept drinks full. Also have keto options but I didn't try one. Portion, flavor, service, and price all balanced out for a great meal. Thank you!

It’s amazing to be provided with dine in food options that are not boring and are outside the typical food choices available close to home!

We are lucky to even have good food available in our area. I’m not a food critic but I always leave satisfied. If not it gets corrected. Most establishments just say sorry and we will do better in the future. (The brush off)

Is this restaurant perfect? No. It does deserve 4.5 stars minimum in my opinion.

I like the atmosphere because it’s eclectic and the service is homestyle.

Thanks for multiple great meals! Salmon, Gumbo, multiple pasta dishes, lamb etc. etc.

We were here this past weekend for a company Christmas dinner. The food and service were great! My husband and I stayed a few minutes afterward and talked with Chef Tom. He was very nice and told him the food was great. We would definitely go back. It is a little pricey but it's known and wouldn't stop us from a date night there. We also bought a painting from a local artist that was on the wall and inquired about another one. Overall we had a great experience!

Cassandra was an awesome server. The food was so delicious that you wanted to lick the plate. The music was a little loud, but was a good selection.

Don Tomaso's is single handedly the best Italian restaurant I've been to. I don't work there, I haven't been paid, I don't even live in the state of the restaurant. The Tomaso bread is a must if you at the bar or just sharing it with someone. Service here is exceptional, the bartender even got a notebook out for a man who couldn't hear. The place is very quirky and cozy, almost feels like you're in another world. The wall decor is amazing and whoever did it did one amazing job. The only thing I wish they had was maybe merchandise to buy or live music often. All in all, Don Tomaso's is and will probably always be one of my favorite personal restaurants and I will be traveling across states just to eat here every now and then.

Our group of 6 had a great time, great food and service on a Friday evening. I enjoyed a stromboli, others had pizza and pasta. No complaints, we will return.
Update
I had the Philly pizza with jalapeños and enjoyed every bite. My beautiful bride had Scallops, a friend had the Samon, no complaints to be heard. Obvious attention paid to food presentation which i appreciate. Good service, cold drinks!

This place was busy. We got seats at the bar. The bartender I believe her name was Lindsey. She was fabulous, our every need was met and she makes pretty good drinks too. Overall we loved the food. Definitely going to be a place we go back to frequently.

Food was delicious, portions just right and our waitress was truly one of the best we've had in a long time. Wish I knew her name, she and her sister work there together. We will definitely be returning again and will recommend to others.

EDIT: Update, April 2022. Crême brûlée in da house! This is my favorite dessert, bar none. I had held off ordering this, for some strange reason. I shouldn't have. This amazing dessert is part of their regular menu, and *very* well-priced!

Let me wax poetic about crême brûlée for a moment. A wide, oval serving dish is presented with a perfectly-baked, rich, eggy, wonderfully-textured, natural vanilla, not-too-sweet, delicate custard. Overlaying it is a delightful, caramelized sugar crust, perfectly golden from edge-to-edge, inviting you to crack it with the edge of your small spoon. You do, to be rewarded with that satisfying crunch. Each bite is a blend of heavenly custard and enticing, crispy caramel sugar.

This was my precise experience at Don Tomasso's. This is the best crême brûlée I have eaten since 2005, and it's in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, on the Don's regular menu.

On to my original review:

We saw a glamor shot of the pork Porterhouse steak with Carolina honey mustard sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and stuffed tomato on Facebook and decided to make the twelve mile trip for dinner.

We had a bit of a wait in the well-decorated but unfortunately stuffy waiting area -- they could use more air conditioning in this area. Our hostess called us to our table after thirty minutes.

We ordered drinks and proceeded to order the day's specials which included the panzanella salad as appetizers, and the Porterhouses. The bread left on the table for us was fresh, but cold. The herbed butter used fresh herbs and was bright and flavorful.

After a bit of a wait the panzanella's arrived, and other than having sat for a few minutes too long before being served were a delicious revelation. The char on the bread complemented the exquisitely balanced basil dressing, which married REAL garden tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and fresh mozzarella. The perfect bite was a still crispy crouton, a bit of tomato, a cube of cucumber, and a portion of mozzarella.

After another relaxed wait we were served our side salads with fresh made Don Tomasso's spicy ranch dressing. The salad was a spring mix of greens, more generous wedges of fresh tomatoes from the chef's garden, a sprinkling of cheese, and fresh thinly sliced cucumbers. They disappeared quickly.

A complementary cup of roasted potato soup showcased the brilliance of the chef, with deep roasted potato goodness in every rich, creamy spoonful. A fresh made chip floating on top provided contrasting crunch.

The main course ...

I just ate the best cooked piece of pork I have eaten in six years. It was perfectly seasoned. It was expertly grilled. It was extremely juicy. It rested on the perfect amount of spicy honey mustard sauce. The sauce was just sweet enough, just spicy enough, and just tangy enough to marry the meat.

The stuffed tomato was another one of the chef's own tomatoes, stuffed with light bread crumbs, Parmesan, and herbs. It was slightly sweet, with bright citrus overtones. It was a treat.

The potatoes were perfectly executed, not overwhelmingly garlicked, rich and satisfying, and wonderful for mopping up leftover sauces and juices.

We were too full for dessert when we asked to see the chef to congratulate him on the most satisfying meal of our summer. We happily paid the rather expensive bill, feeling satisfied we got good value for our money, and left our excellent waitress, the owner's daughter, a decent tip.

The meal was so stellar we simply couldn't bring ourselves to deduct a star for longer waits or slight discomfort in the waiting area. IT WAS WORTH EVERYTHING.

Great local gem of an establishment. Stopped in to see what made this place special to other locals. Was very surprised at how good the flavors and textures were of the pizza we ordered. Happened to have a long wait due to being short staffed so ate at the bar and ended up being the better option. Got to meet the chef/owner and discuss the various flavors found on the 'Ram' (bbq chicken) pizza. Not at all what was expecting, and was not disappointed! Even the small cup of sauce for the extra bits of crust was special. Will remember this place for a long time. Truly a local gem that hit the spot for flavor and a great experience.

We've been looking for a quality spot to eat that's halfway between Toledo and Columbus so we can meet up with our family in Columbus on a regular basis. We tried Don Tomasso's this afternoon and it was fantastic! Highly recommend it to anyone thinking about stopping in

This is the first time coming here but definitely won’t be the last! I’m kinda picky about pizza and I have to say this might be the best I’ve ever had! My boyfriend got the chicken parm and it was also very good. Our waitress was also great. For once my bf didn’t have to ask multiple times for lemon for his tea.

Unanimous family decision defeats olive garden in every category. Kids pizza a lil bigger than usual kid size but our 3year old loved it. Wife's chicken Alfredo 5stars as well as my lasgna and our son's spaghetti.

Service was excellent, and the food was spectacular! We ordered the 14" Buckeye Pizza, shrimp fettuccine alfredo, and the Upper Stromboli. The fresh bread brought out was excellent, and the Salad that came with the fettuccine alfredo was amazing!
