Dr Gilmer has been my doctor for several years and helped me fight - and subdue - my diabetes. He's fantastic, personable and thorough. You might have to wait a bit before your appointment, but he always takes the time to listen to his patients.

I'm happy with my experiences here. Dr. Burroughs is a wonderful doctor. I've never had any doctor spend so much time with me and ask me a lot of questions. He is also very encouraging to me, which I appreciate. The RN I have seen there is fantastic. She was able to diagnose a back issue I was having in minutes which led me to a path of total recovery. The rest of the nursing staff is always kind and efficient.

I've been going to AIMC for years now. I will be honest though, I've only ever seen the P.A.s, who I've been extremely impressed with. My husband goes here too, and he has had appointments with the doctors, and has only good things to say. I believe he's seen Dr. Abouaf. But I saw Jennifer many times before she left, and now Kara. Both are everything you want in a medical professional. Even in these COVID times, I had a hybrid telemedicine/in-person appointment for a yearly physical, and I felt the discussion over the phone (video call) was very thorough, and then they had a screening procedure for entering the office for the short part of my appointment that needed to be done in-person. I liked that I didn't have to hang out in the waiting room or in an exam room for a long time.

I saw some of the reviews were fairly critical of the front desk staff, and although I never felt they were incompetent or rude, I do feel like the front end staff has improved over the last couple years. There's a friendliness and willingness to help that I do think is better now than it used to be. But like another review said, I'm not going to review a whole practice based on an occasional interaction with someone at the front desk who may be stressed out. I find reviews tend to capture everyone's worst day, and I can say that over many appointments over many years, I've been very happy with this clinic and intend to keep going there.

As someone educated in medicine, I am discriminating about health care. Dr. Gilmer is a compassionate, thoughtful, and extremely intelligent care provider. I have been his patient for over a decade and confidently recommend him to others. I understand the importance of support staff, but am surprised by the reviews condemning an entire practice due to a negative experience with the front desk.

The office staff are phenomenal, patient, and genuinely act like I'm a friend they haven't seen in awhile and are dying to know how I'm doing. That's just the staff, my doctor is why I'm here writing a review.

Dr. Gilmer is hands-down the best PCP I've ever had the care of. From the beginning, I've felt like I'm talking to a close friend that sincerely cares for my health and well-being... that just happens to be a medically brilliant doctor. He's broken down and explained everything to me in terms and ways I can understand, and answered all of my questions fully, regardless of how silly they may have been. His bedside manner is 5/5.

Going to the doctor is obviously more than bedside manner; you want a doctor that can heal you. As a person in their 30's with no medical history, I went to Dr. Gilmer for a general check up. Long-story made short: I'm currently recovering from brain surgery after the removal of a tumor Dr. Gilmer found. Every surgeon, doctor, and medical professional I've dealt with during the process has asked in amazement: "How did you find this tumor?". It's almost 1-1,000,000 chance that someone my age and health status would have an issue like this, and Dr. Gilmer found it and addressed it BEFORE I EVER HAD A NOTICEABLE SYMPTOM. He's saved my life from potential misery and an array of health issues that may have even gone unnoticed then, and could have eventually been fatal. He's been there every step of the way and I'm forever indebted.

If you're looking for great medical service, I'd advise anyone I know to go here. I'm unfamiliar with the other doctors, but if they're colleagues of Dr. Gilmer, I'm confident their healthcare is exceptional.

I have to disagree with the person above. I have always had a good experience with my doctor at this office. A last minute appointment is always problematic but they did accommodate you and prescribed a medication for a sinus infection. You seem frustrated with your own situation, dont take it out on them.
I have called several times to get in at the last minute and they were very accommodating, once with the PA, once with the Nurse Practioner, every other time with either my doctor or another on staff. Always pleasant and professional. We’re talking everything from the flu to a kidney stone, they diagnosed me correctly and provided good advice and the proper treatment.

I was suffering from severe back pain and was very happy with the virtual appointment with Dr. Aboaf. I was convinced that it was a disc problem but after listening to my symptoms and having me do some tests (do this...what do you feel?) Dr. Abouf diagnosed it differently, and apparently accurately. I feel that the virtual appointment was just as effective and much more convenient than an in-office appointment. I'm very happy with the results.

I always fear posting positive feedback would dampen my future appointment options, but a great practice shouldn’t be kept a secret. Doctor Aboaf and his associates run a efficient , professional, knowledgeable, friendly and above all personal medical clinic. I have known Dr. Aboaf for a lot of years (decades). He always listens and has helped me with the right decisions to keep me healthy. That, I am very great full for.

Dr. Gilmer has been great in care and helping maintain a healthy active lifestyle. Always a friendly greeting at the front desk. Someone has returned calls with lab result questions as well. 11yrs now and still great services.

I've been going to Aurora Internal medicine for a little less than a year now and have experienced nothing but great help and compassion. I originally began seeing Jennifer for ongoing pancreatitis attacks which have left me in ongoing severe pain. She has continued to work with me and other doctors to find the root of the problem and address it. The staff is very friendly and professional. I would highly reccomend this office to both friends and family. I thank Jennifer, other contributing physicians as well as the staff for continuing to their great help.

After years of failing to find a medical professional that suited my needs, Jennifer Lueb came as a blessing. The staff is equally amazing, although they get busy from time to time. (Double checking on a request is always a smart thing to do anyways.)

I have seen many physicians over the course of about a decade. Some attempted bullying me into killing a functioning organ in my body, some deliberately gave me too much thyroid medication and some honestly would not care if I spontaneously combusted in their lobby.

Needless to say I shied away from any thyroid treatment, and this idleness fostered a monstrosity of problems; exacerbated greatly by other abnormal genetic predispositions.

My recovery is gradual, but existent. Bouncing on and off medications and supplements from specialists, amidst diet changes, is easy on no one's body. Impatience on my part in relearning 'how to hooman' is a bit of a hindrance as well.

Jennifer Lueb is not only compassionate, she is honest, attentive, organized and very quick to handle employer forms. There is usually an appointment available same day, and she is always on time like clockwork. (You will get dirty looks from the gaggle of waiting patients when the nurse calls your name before your butt hits the seat. Enjoy it.)

Having such a competent physician handle my health is indescribably comforting. I'm incredibly loyal to any professional that reaches this level of care whether it be a lawyer, mechanic or hairdresser. I thought I was doomed to bounce around from doctor to doctor until I really did spontaneously combust in an office lobby.
