I recently visited a friend who was on admission at Aurora Medical Center and I am thrilled to say that the service provided by Nurse Kristin was absolutely outstanding. Her attention to detail, expertise, and genuine care for patients is truly remarkable. Her exceptional service delivery has left a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend Aurora Medical Center, especially with Nurse Kristin's dedicated and exemplary service.

I want to comment on Victoria in the echo lab for her professionalism and kindness. She was very thorough but still personable and cheerful throughout the whole experience. We must have asked a million questions, but she NEVER made us feel we were bothering her. I was there for possible heart problems, but she let us joke with her to keep our spirits up. You may need to clone her ....

Thank you Victoria, for helping us have a good time during a scary day.

I think most women are nervous. However the staff is so gracious, warm, compassionate, caring and encouraging. Thank you for supporting me through my anxieties and getting this done. I will encourage other women.

Went to the medical center of Aurora to get outpatient x-rays.. I had another appointment within the hour. Diane quickly registered me and Kachiri took my x rays quickly and efficiently. Kachiri also was able to do all of this while teaching a very nice student named Kajsa. Thanks

Got assaulted by a staff member while running away from them, and they on another occasion through me out the same day I slit my wrists. They will also not defend you if someone as a patient hits you. Edit; (Fast, reliable response time. Issue resolved) Full disclosure TMI or Asperger's diagnosis.

They took me straight to a room when I arrived. Portable xray was ordered and done within 5 minutes. Registration was done virtually (never seen that before and was cool). MD came in within 10 minutes. Waited about 15 more minutes for the xray results. MD came back in and BAM, I was discharged. I’m an ex-ER nurse, and yes, they were not busy. Too many times I’ve seen nurses and doctors drag their feet just because. I’m so glad that didn’t happen to me during my visit. AWESOME!

Everything I've been treated the staff and Dr's are always kind, and it's never more time waiting bored then being taken care of. I can't stand going to the hospital usually. Their the exception

I went to the ER in the early evening on a Sunday; I got there right at shift change. Due to the nature of why I had to go, I expected to be and was treated right away. One of the nurses stayed to hook me up to equipment when she could have/should have left at the end of her shift. The care I received was GREAT! The front desk person was very responsive, an ER nurse standing near her when I came in was very responsive, and the nurses, trainee and doctor were all very kind and extremely competent. I felt well cared for. I returned to this ER years later for these very reasons. EVERYONE I came in contact with was professional, very knowledgeable and kind. I expect people in the medical profession to know what they're doing, they're just not always kind; these people most definitely are! The one criticism I have, and it's nobody's fault, is that once my issue was no longer a priority (triage wise), because of low staffing, it was hard to get their attention. I don't blame them, one doctor, one nurse, and like I said, I was no longer a priority, I was absolutely stable. It did prevent me from getting a bag of fluids because I knew I was going to be there for another two hours at least (most likely longer). I know this because the doctor was shocked I hadn't gotten them when he came back to check on me. And at that point I had been there about two hours, which I didn't think was unreasonable, they took blood and hooked me up to machines. I just didn't want to be there for another two hours for a bag of fluids. And I don't blame them. Short staffed. I'm grateful I got the great treatment that I did, the diagnosis that I did, and was able to leave when I wanted. I highly recommend this place! I will come back (if I need to, it being an ER and all), and it's not in my neighborhood. I wish it was.

Everyone we were in contact with was exceptionally nice and concerned. They took such good care of my mom and didn't brush away any concerns we had. In my opinion, everyone went above and beyond, from the cath lab, to the nurses, housekeeping, through to discharge. Thank you Everyone, you made this stressful situation easier.

My appointment with MCofA went really well. I was well informed of what to expect at my appointment as well as very good directions on how to get there. Once there, the staff were very nice and helpful, there was not a LOT of paperwork to fill out, and my appointment was on schedule to the minute. The procedure went very well. Both the nursing and doctor staff were very nice, helpful, and informative. The facility was clean and professional. My only complaint would be that the online check-in process is broken and simply crashed during my check-in.

I had to get my appendix removed last week very suddenly, and every single nurse was so kind and funny and helped ease my anxiety. Dr. Snyder went over how the procedure was going to work, but was getting off at 7pm (my surgery was at 10pm). He was really personable and explained things very well. Dr. Denton was the surgeon who removed my appendix and he was just as nice and personable helping me feel good about the procedure and making me feel like I was in great care. My anesthesiologist was also amazing and very good at explaining exactly what was happening. As someone who hasn't had much experience with surgeries or being in the hospital, I highly recommend The Medical Center of Aurora. 14/10, give these people raises!

Class A experience. People were nice and accommodating. All things about my stay we're good..the helpful products they gave to me to use for healing up after surgery and friendly advice to get back on the wellness wagon. I also enjoyed the meals. Thanks.
I would gladly consider using Surgical Center of Aurora if my wellness journey begins again in the future.

Over-all everything was outstanding in every way: the staff was wonderful, responsive and personable. The only negative experiences were in the discharge process below.

Discharge Experience – 25 May 2023
When I spoke with Robin on the 24th after I was told they were keeping me another night, she said first that she would see me at 7 am, then changed it to 7:30 am..
That didn’t happen although I was ready. Finally, I was visited by Daniel and Lauren from urology .around 10:30. Daniel informed me that urology had cleared me for discharge.
He then said. “We need to turn off the TV,” and reached abruptly across me for the control, which wasn’t visible. I responded, “Now, stop it!” and he withdrew and started rationalizing his move.
I tried to explain that I felt violated by his aggressive move. He could have asked me to mute it or asked if he could. He didn’t handle that well. I let him know that I didn’t appreciate being talked down to like a child. This was clear in his voice tone and body language; that is such a disrespectful male thing with older people like me and women.
He then said, “Well, this conversation is entirely unproductive, so I am leaving.” He then proceeded to storm out of the room, to which I responded, “Isn’t that just like you, avoiding conflict?”
Lauren stood there quietly through the entire exchange.
{I can only wonder if Daniel is someplace on the autism spectrum.)
I then called the charge nurse to inquire about discharge and she told me they were working on it.
Finally, around 11:20, she came in, disconnected the collection bag and opened a catheter package with the leg bag I needed and helped me put it on. Then she gave me the bag for nighttime.
Gary, the CAN, then took me in a wheelchair to my car, which was parked at the ER entrance.
FINALLY, when I went to switch bags at bedtime, the bag was from a different manufacturer and the fittings were different. So, I had to remove the seal over the tapered male fitting I needed, cut it off and put it on the tube going to the bag. I was then able to connect it to the catheter tube. It worked, but it was a surprise and an inconvenience.

I went to ER with a bump on my head and nausea. The ER was very fast at getting me into the front room and taking my Vital Signs and sending me for a Cat Scan very quickly! I had a concussion and got instructions on what to do at home. It was the quickest
Time that I've been in there. I left in just over an hour! Thank you Aurora Medical Center Nurses and Dr. Dutton- Swain.

I've always loved this hospital. They've taken very good care of some of my family members, and I even did my Medical Assistant practicals with two of the doctors there over twenty years ago.

The rooms are nice with large windows for plenty of light. The beds are comfy with chargers built right in for your tablet or phone. The food service is wonderful. There is a nice vegetarian selection which I very much appreciated. The tray is brought right to your bedside, and they are always smiling and kind.

I also loved the staff themselves. The work environment is very positive, and that helps the patients so much! The doctors, nurses, CNAs and therapists were incredibly encouraging and so knowledgeable. They were very easy to talk to and had very gentle hands. This was especially true of the phlebotomists. I am a hard stick, and they very rarely hurt me. I have never been treated so well in my life than I have by the entire staff at this hospital. I just got out of OT/PT rehab today and I'm feeling very blessed!

Your loved ones are in very good hands in this hospital! I miss you, my precious angels in the cardiac tower! Thank you so much for your kind care!

Attached are pics of my room there, including that big, beautiful window!

Love,
Lioness (Christine S.) xx

Once again they have made a visit to the hospital comfortable. The Outpatient Surgery team was awesome from Pre-Op to Post-Op. Everyone was extremely professional yet were able to be friendly and have a sense of humor! They treated my family very well and made them feel at home and comfortable.
Thank you all for a great experience! You are very appreciated! But please make sure you have cranberry juice available next time!! LOL. You all are top notch!!!
