The ambience is always pleasing. The food was fresh and delivered promptly. Our server, Mario, was very attentive throughout our entire meal. I tried the salad bar for the first time as an add-on to my meal. It offered a variety of salad choices along with a nice selection of soup and fruit. I highly recommend making a reservation or checking out the bar ahead of time to find a place to wait.

The lunch buffet is worth the price. The poke was decent quality and their garlic shrimp was on point. There is no dessert with the buffet that has to be ordered à la cart instead. Make sure you set a reservation around lunchtime or else you’re gonna have to wait around 30 minutes to be seated. Service is prompt and the restaurant has a very beach surfer vibe that is perfect for a casual sit down place. Would definitely go back again.

You can immediately tell this is a staple of Waikiki dining. In all fairness, this is not the place for a quiet romantic dinner as it is a large and moderately loud dining atmosphere; in a good way. We enjoyed our meals and had amazing service. We had reservations and were seated & waited upon promptly. I highly recommend Duke’s Waikiki!

We had the Duke's breakfast buffet. Lot of options were available. You can purchase the breakfast buffet if you don't stay in the outrigger resort. Plenty fresh fruit of tropical variety, refilled frequently. Fluffy Banana pancakes and coconut syrup, one of the best we've had. Ambience is good, tropical vibes with straw umbrellas, wooden decor, lots of indoor plants, outdoor seating with ocean views etc.

We went to Dukes in Waikiki as a recommendations from some friends and the first thing to point out is it’s a casual restaurant not fine dining. So you can wear pretty much whatever and here beach attire or you can get dressed up, but you’ll look at a place I think. It’s busy and we weren’t sure why it was so busy but it’s a very reasonable restaurant. No that doesn’t mean the food’s not good because I think it’s one of the better meals we’ve had in Oahu. One thing to know, they have a salad bar here for an extra nine dollars that you could add on your meal and it’s worth it several different salads muffins bread, and soup. our food was very good. The presentation was that of a high-end restaurant so if you’re looking for high-end place may not have surroundings but the food definitely is we would come back here in a second. Hopefully you stop by here if you’re in the area.

Great restaurant located in Marriott hotel on the beach. Great atmosphere with nice breakfast buffet. Also offers lunch and dinner. Our server, Michelle, was simply AMAZING!!! LOVED HER SERVICE. Definitely will come back for breakfast again and maybe try their dinner. Very intimate and romantic area as its by the ocean. Perfect for dating, romance and special occasions. If you are a Marriott Elite member, this is great as you enjoy free breakfast if you stay in Marriott hotel.ENJOY!

Excellent excellent restaurant/bar. My sister and I came after 8 for dinner on a Sunday and there was a 45 minute wait if that tells you how good this place is. We sat at the bar and had top notch service!! All the bartenders were great - attentive, friendly, generous, and helpful in making good recommendations. They also made delicious mai tais I must add! The food was outstanding and very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place for food and drinks! And if you can, sit at the bar and enjoy the friendliness of the bartenders!!

We really enjoyed Duke's. Unfortunately the window coverings were rolled down due to rain and wind. Seeing out to the water would have made it spectacular. The service was excellent. My wife has celiacs. They were knowledgeable and cautious. The salad bar was a surprise and enjoyable but not celiac friendly due to cross contamination.

The food was okay and what I would expect. The cost was acceptable considering it is a resort area.

I do recommend going at least once.

A must-visit restaurant if you’re in Waikiki! I had the seafood pasta and it was amazing. The service is fantastic, the staff really tries to make you feel at home. It can be a bit of a wait if you’re in a big group, but it’s worth it. Great view of the ocean from the patio. Definitely get the hula pie!

Jesse is the best bartender ever!! Go for the lunch buffet, which includes make-your-own poke bowls, garlic shrimp, Kalua pork, mac n cheese and much more. Enjoy the views from the bar and get Jesse’s Hawaiian Island Tea 🍹

Perfect location right on the beach with view of sunset on Wakiki, live music, and our waiter John provided excellent service. Highly recommend the coconut shrimp and the fresh fish tacos.
We’ve been to Duke’s in Kauai and the food and service aren’t as good as the one in Wakiki. Really glad we stopped here for dinner on our last night in Honolulu.

As a local, Dukes is our absolute favorite Waikiki spot. Don’t let the wait scare you off. The staff works super hard to get you in quickly. Salad bar is a must add. Super fresh and lots of choices. I had the teriyaki steak. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. My kid ordered the teriyaki chicken. Delicious as well. Wife ordered the ravioli, and although the presentation was nice the flavor was just off. Tasted like flowers. The waiter was so kind to take it off the check even though we didn’t ask. We will continue to come to dukes year after year

Even with reservations highly recommended on their website, we lucked out! My wife approached the host desk and asked if we could get in w/o a reservation, about 5:45 pm. The hostess quoted no guarantees, but she would try, with a wait of about 30-45 minutes. No worries! So we walked down to the beach and checked the local shops. Got a text that our table was being prepared, and 5 minutes later we were seated. No ocean view, but hey, beggars cant be choosers.
This restaurant is huge! Our server Charli was fantastic! The menu is simple - geared towards seafood and steaks. But with such a large dining area(s), the menu cant be too expansive. I greatly suggest adding on the $9 ayce salad bar. It is self-serve with 6 to 7 composed salads, 3 leaf lettuces with an array of toppings and dressings, fresh cut fruit, a daily soup with croutons and other toppings, a couple different warm muffins and Kings Hawaiian rolls and butter. For drinks, my wife ordered a Dukes maitai($16), and I a pog slushie $8(n/alc). She ordered the coconut shrimp($21) and I the macadamia nut herb crusted fresh catch($39). Turned out to be mahi mahi. For dessert we got the kimo's hula pie($14) which was huge! enough for 3 ppl. Everything was tasty, fresh and well presented. Worth the price for an upscale restaurant in Waikiki. Charli was exceptionally skillful at being our server; really friendly but quick, always there to remove plates and things, and funny to boot. Thank you Charli for adding another star into our night!
If we were to go back, I would definitely make a reservation - lots of available oceanside seating to watch the sunset, and we saw group after group walk up to the podium and get taken in right away, the way its supposed to be!

Tasty meals!

Came back a second within 3 days and discovered that the restaurant had 2 sections offering two separate menus. Whichever section you’re at, it’ll still be tasty meals

Wow! We were grumpy, tired and hungry after a 9 hour flight from Sydney. Our server, Leela, was friendly, understanding, efficient and delightful. She explained the best dishes and we loved everything she recommended. The views of the sunset were spectacular and the food was delicious. Terrific dinner.

The place was packed and full on a weekday dinner. I am visiting around New years, so this is to be expected. Despite that, we were seated in minutes. Our server was wonderful and took full care of our peanut allergy. If you want a beautiful dinner during sunset you should come here. It is debatably the best beach view a restraunt can have in the city. I would suggest a reservation if possible to make this more streamlined. They also have a self-serve endless salad bar if that is your fancy. I was also surprised by the blended cocktails we had and the maitai! It was perfect, thanks!

Duke's Waikiki took fantastic care of my family's birthday dinner for my dad's 70th birthday celebration. The food and drinks were excellent, and the beach side atmosphere was near perfect!

Excellent quality food but I recommend getting reservations as it is very popular. The views of the sunset are amazing if you can get a seat on the balcony with a view.

The drinks and ambiance are superb. Their appetizers were fantastic. The poke wonton tacos were among the best we had ever had! It was absolutely delicious. The drinks were very well made as well. The entree was good however fell a bit short when compared to the stellar appetizers in my opinion. The ribs weren’t as tender as I imagine or would have liked them to be. Bear in mind, the entrees are still very very good and would likely be a slam dunk 5-star product were it not being compared to the appetizers. Finally, the live entertainment was really good as well. Overall, a highly recommended place.
