Every summer the Oahu Cemetery, in collaboration with Mission Houses will host a cemetery theater which is a unique experience for many locals and visitors. They will feature significant historical figures in Hawaii, many buried at the Oahu Cemetery itself. At the end of the day they will have a Q&A with the organizers and cast to reflect on the performance.

Ancient and beautiful. Boneyard of the blue blood early settlers of Hawaii. My hero, Joseph Campbell interred here is said to be the most visited gravesite. Next is Alexander Cartwright father of modern baseball. Go for a stroll. Beautifully aged tombstones quietly sitting in repose

Excellent customer service! We all come to mortuaries for pretty much one reason and I have to say, going through these hard times, O’ahu really took care of us in our time of need. We had Sam as our coordinator and she was excellent in the way she handled everything for my dad. She was very upfront about the whole process and explained everything very clearly. She went above and beyond with helping us who are from out of town and was very quick to respond and very accommodating.
I loved my dad and if he were alive, he would hope our experience through this was as least traumatic as possible. That is why I want to mention the main factors that influenced our decision to go with O’ahu. When you are vacationing and expected to return home but a death occurs and your stuck on the island and not sure when you will get home, O’ahu was able to get everything done for us within a week. We could have just been lucky with timing but it seems like they are not one to try to delay things.
It also feels bad for me to say but regarding price, they were very affordable and didn’t have weird hidden fees. We did a cremation which after calling around to other places was the most affordable place and the quickest. We did a viewing prior to cremation and they did a great job with preparing my dad.
Death is a tragedy and can be very tough to deal with but O’ahu should definitely be the place that you call for these types of needs. I hope I don’t have another incident like this the next time I’m in Hawaii but I can tell you that if you’re looking for somewhere to take care of your loved one, they did a great job.
I will miss my dad forever and can sleep better at night knowing we had a great experience.

Oahu mortuary is a very wonderful and very dignified mortuary and cemetary. The workers there are wonderful, very lovely and have compassion for the familys who have had family members that past on. Darrell salvador, and miki ho are very well on it very trust worthy and i can say because oahu cemetary/mortuary is a none profit organization they can offer cheaper rates compaired to other mortuaries they do not look at anyone as a dollar sign. Darrell salvador and miki ho along with all the other staff at oahu mortuary are very friendly and they all have the compassion to wanna help get you through your grieving state together like as if you were there own family memeber. Oahu mortuary is one big ohana. The people who take care of the bodies do an outstanding job. They made my grandpa look like as if he was still alive. The art work they do on your love one's is just amazing. The cemetary is very well maintained beautiful fish pond. So please i know everyone is entitled to there own opinions but dont have to bash a business of profession. No one person well be perfect and its never good to past judgement on others. The mortuary can try there best to enforce rules and regulations but they cant be there to always tell people to not come with there dogs. Its common sense that in a mortuary you need to show respect for the dead but not everyone is going to see things the way some of us may. I can tell you this that the premises is very well equipped with security cameras.

Beautiful small intimate chapel off Nuuanu Avenue just above Judd Street. Limited parking, but nearby street parking is available. Nice outdoor reception area for refreshments with comfortable padded bench seating.

My maternal grandfather's family is here. This is a very special place to me. I appreciate the hard work they do in maintaining the grounds. I love to visit here when I get the chance. It is a great place to visit and reflect.

Well maintained, but the adjacent Judd street is known to be haunted.
