Nuʻuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary

I worked with Derwin and Floyd when my husband passed and because of them everything went smooth as silk.

So beautiful and tucked away in the bustling city! We enjoyed walking around here as a family and talking about our ancestors.

Our family found the staff at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary to be most accommodating and professional. There were excellent choice selections for the planning of the "makura" to the celebration of life services. The floral arrangements were gorgeous. We could not have asked for a better send off for my brother. I would highly recommend Nuuanu Memorial to anyone who needs this type of service.

My husband suddenly passed away in January of 2020, and amid the chaos of the grief and making arrangements, we went to see another mortuary upon recommendation of a friend. Needless to say, we were unable to see anyone in a timely manner and we called the folks at Nuuanu to see if they could assist us. Derwin, Soo Whan, and their team were simply amazing. They made us feel like family immediately and did everything they could to help us during the transition of losing my husband. They were attentive, gave us great suggestions, and most importantly, gave us the time we needed. They always made me feel like their only customers regardless of the circumstances. My father passed away just a year later, and to my relief, he had purchased a plan with Nuuanu Memorial. When I saw that Derwin and Soo Whan would be assisting us again, I knew that the transition would be seamless... and it was.

My father and my husband looked amazing at their services, and everything was taken care of as if we were family. I would recommend them a hundred times over. Thank you guys for taking such amazing care of us!

Easy to locate

妻が亡くなりここでクリミネーションをしました。日本人スタッフがいてとても親切にして下さりここにして良かったです。

I delivered flowers here a lot and they are pretty organized and very little hiccups. I have the honor to be a pallbearer for a distance relative. One minor thing with the steps in front of the buildings is that when you carry the casket (on wheel) down the steps, you are really carrying and lifting the casket down the steps (not using the wheel) But after you get it down, you are back on the wheels and moving forward to the coach.
