A beautiful and tasty Osetchi set for January 1st, 2024! I ordered this set from Nigiya and was surprised by the variety of food that it contained. This is the medium set and it was delicious. Osetchi is only available during the New Year.

I really like their Bento lunch box selection. So many variety to chose from.

Very reasonably priced sushi selection, I tried their Korean bento (bibimbap) which was very tasty. I was happy with the purchase.

Both Ala Moana and University location have the good selection. I like the university location because it seems that the selection is bigger and better in a larger deli area.

It is also nice to see the kitchen so you know they are made there.

bought ground chicken 8.22 here to make gyoza but when i got home the meat was rotten (must be bad batch but the best by date was 8.26) called the store and talked to Sayuri and she was very apologetic about the incident and refunded my purchase. this place is my go to place for quick grocery and japanese finds and the staff are really very nice.

I loved this store. It was a Japanese or Chinese market and I saw quite a few items that I wanted or wanted to try it's just the funds are very low this trip. However I did buy a fried rice already prepared item that was just delicious.

Convenient for my life, should go more often. Clean and organized, very nice produce, helpful staff, some convenient Japanese take away foods. They have decent variety of seafood in smaller, individual portions, appropriate given the University location. More likely than most grocery stores to carry specific Japanese items. Got an excellent matcha and true hon-mirin here, for example.

Staff & store personnel provide the shoppers to a wonderful in-store experience. They are courteous & most helpful to shoppers seeking hard to find Japanese ingredients.

I love their bentos and chirashis as they made pretty good sets with many choices of combinations. The prices are reasonable for what you get. Remember, seafood is expensive now. They also have a small grocery and produce section, obviously with an Asian theme. They also have meat and chicken. Parking is validated, so free. Make sure you get the cashier to stamp your parking ticket.

Great grocery store near UH Manoa. If you love Japanese cuisine, you can find all the ingredients you need here! Prices are a little high, especially for their meat selection, but it 's all high quality that you would expect from ingredients that go into a Japanese meal. They do have sales of all meats on the 29th of every month :)

I am also very happy with how they have protected their workers and customers since COVID-19 started. I think they are the best out of any place I've seen so far; enforcing customer count limits, plexiglass barrier for their cashiers, social distance enforcement, hand sanitizing stations and workers always properly wearing their masks and constantly santizing high touch items and areas.

Feels like a grocery store in Japan! We went on girls day and they had fresh strawberry mochi. It was the best that I have ever had! They have a good selection of prepared food and the bentos are reasonably priced. I would come here on a regular basis if I were in Honolulu often.

I like the selections for ready made foods at the deli here than the one by Ala Moana. I’m pretty sure the selection at this location is much wider and the store is a bit bigger. Always check online for their weekly ads because they often have really amazing deals on produce. I would walk down from the university to do some grocery shopping here whenever I didn’t feel like cooking or if I wanted to try new food products

I absolutely love shopping here for the Japanese desserts and the bentos. Parking is validated. You can buy lots of great veggies and produce along with dairy but also sit down and eat lunch inside or even dinner.
Staff is very friendly and nice♡

Small and welcoming place. A perfect little sitting area with table so you can snack or eat your lunch. There are always customers and familiar faces. Whenever I need a drink I come here for their cheap canned juices and water. Come here if you need a little snack or even for a few hot food choices!

Great selection of food, drinks, and snacks straight from Japan. As a college student I particularly like the assortment of snacks and instant ramen. If you need a particularly niche Japanese ingredient like koji, you can probably find it here. The bentos and cold drinks make a great lunch after some grocery shopping, too. My only complaint is that the organic free-range eggs are insanely expensive, but at least Long's is close by.

Its a Japanese style market place with lots of products from Japan! Even if you dont want japanese products they have fresh vegtables and fruits. They also have many different types of meats. Lots of fish. Beef. Pork. So yummy!
So many things in this store to mention. A must see!
