Florida Hospital Dade City: Emergency Room

My experience there today was pretty good. The ER waiting room was empty so they took me back right away. The nurse wasn't even done going over my medical history and the doctor was already coming in to see me. They were super quick. The staff were super nice to me. I was seen, had xrays, seen again, and put into a sling for a tiny fracture in my arm all in less than 1.5 hours. If I had gone to Tampa General like I usually do, it would have been a 4-5 hour wait minimum. If you don't think you need any major surgery or have serious medical issues, this is a great place to go that will get you in and out quick. I wouldn't go there for anything serious though... my preference is TGH for anything that could warrant an overnight stay.

My 12 year old daughter was experiencing tachycardia, dyspnea, and was hypertensive. Staff didn’t seem to care, although her vital signs were extremely high. The only test they did was a chest X-ray and sent her home. A COVID test wasn’t performed, lab work wasn’t drawn, also they didn’t even do a urine analysis. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to anyone.

If you’re arm is severed and broken they offer a band aid while they work on a dead heart attack victim for over an hour I found the emergency room physicians don’t care and were not helpful left and was released with my blood pressure 184/127 the discharge nurse never commented Take it from there be careful and cautious

Horrible place . Stay away . I can’t believe the way I’m being treated in this place . I rather be dead and gone than here . SMH
