Roy's Waikiki

We had our anniversary dinner here based on a recommendation, and boy, was it amazing! Our waitress Maya was so helpful and courteous! The sushi roll was perfect, and the swordfish entrees were out of this world. Mine was combined with Roy's short rib, which was also melt in your mouth delicious. And the chocolate souffle is a must have! This was the best dining experience we've had in a long time and we highly recommend eating here. Top notch with service above and beyond!

Met an old friend here for dinner at her suggestion. The food was awesome and the service spectacular. I had the tiger shrimp and it was very good. My wife had the macadamia crusted catch of the day and it was very good. My daughter had two sushi rolls and she thought it was some of the best sushi she had ever had.

The food here is the best I have had in my entire life. I have been raving about it for an hour since leaving. Don’t go anywhere else for dinner. We both said we would go here everyday if we could. We had the swordfish (catch of the day) and tiger prawns. Both were absolutely amazing. I told our lovely waiter that it was the best I’ve ever had and he didn’t seemed surprised. Then I overheard each table around me saying the same thing about their food. We’ve been here a week and nothing comes even close to the dining experience at Roy’s. Mahalo for the wonderful food and I will forever be comparing food to this and I already know nothing will come close.

Such a lovely dinner out to celebrate a visiting friend. More or less ordered an entirely vegan feast! It was SO yummy. Can I have this every night? The desserts were also so good. I loved how they said to allow 2 hours for your experience, reminded us to slow down.
I parked us at the Halekulani lot down the end of the lane there.

So if you’ve never heard of Roy’s, he has several restaurants across Hawaii, Roy restaurants are all good and this one is no exception. We chose to sit outside, which the view is OK you’re looking at the street of Hawaii, which isn’t terrible but it’s not beautiful. But if you’re coming here for a good meal and will call it fine dining it’s just that the presentation is absolutely perfect. The kids menu is great and they give all kids two small quesadillas which is a nice touch and I’m guessing this doesn’t cost the restaurant a bunch of money, but it makes you feel like you’re getting something for nothing which is rare these days to sum up come here for a excellent fine dining meal. Everything is good service atmosphere and the whole staff. I don’t know what else to convince someone that this is a great place. You’re not gonna get a cheap meal but if you’re going to restaurants, you understand that already. Will definitely come back to this restaurant or anyone that Roy’s name is on.

This is a special experience on Waikiki. I had the fried Zucchini appetizer which is just glorious, I would go back for that alone. The fish special was awesome and the hot lava chocolate dessert was the best ever. If you sit outside it's on a busy corner so you can people watch. Beautiful restaurant and exquisite food.

The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive, meeting all of our needs.

The appetizer was delicious, went with a sampler and it did not disappoint. Main course was also delicious and perfectly done. The dessert was the lava cake and it was also amazing. They did not miss a beat, even suggesting a drink for my wife that was totally delicious.

Could not have had a better meal for our last night in Waikiki. When we come back this place will be on our must visit list.

We LOVED Roy’s! We read a ton of travel / foodie blogs and saw Roy’s was recommended numerous times. Roy’s has a phenomenal atmosphere and delicious plates. My husband and I had different meals. I chose to go with the 4 course meal & it did not disappoint. He got the brazed pork rib and loved it! We got to try each others meals / shared. Though this restaurant isn’t placed directly on the water, I would argue it’s better than those on the water because the focus is their food!

I’m visiting Hawaii with my family and this wasn’t a typical place we would pick to eat but definitely a great experience. The food was absolutely amazing not only in taste but presentation as well. The portions size was not skimpy at all. The service not only is friendly and attentive but also knowledgeable about the menu, you can tell they have pride in what they do. I ordered the tiger shrimp with crab ravioli and I finished the whole plate it was so flavorful and moist, not to mention the biggest shrimp I’ve ever eaten in my life and the garlic parmesan sauce is the perfect combination. Others at my table ordered the ribs and finished the whole dish as well as the sampler all were very pleased. And for those who enjoy fish the snapper comes WHOLE head and tail attached and cooked to perfection. I definitely would recommend and plan on coming back for another meal.

My family dined at this restaurant a few days ago and had a great experience. We ordered the Ahi-20, Da Palala, and Hawaiian style rainbow rolls. All three were amazing and my favorite was the Ahi-20 roll. We also enjoyed the Misoyaki Butterfish. This was one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. The fish melts in your mouth and tastes great. For desert, we had the pineapple upside down cake. This was very good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The staff are also friendly and helpful which contributed to a great experience at this restaurant. Definitely would come again.

I’ve been going to the Hawaii Kai location of Roy’s for all of my life, and this was the first time I went to the Waikiki location. Mostly the same menu with a few differences, the biggest being that all items are a few dollars more expensive here (tourist tax, probably). However, the food and service is just as good as the original location.

We got a few appetizers and our favorites were the Da Palala roll and the Kanpachi Crudo. We also got a few cocktails, which were inventive and had unique flavors. My favorite was the Supah Smokah. And of course, you can’t go to Roy’s without getting a Chocolate Soufflé for dessert.

Great meal and drinks at Roy’s with great service. Recommended if you’re in Waikiki.

Birthday Party of 11. Roy's Waikiki is one of my favorite restaurants near the strip. Each one of their dishes were top tier. For appetizers, we had the Hawaii Crab Cakes, Ahi 20 roll, Bigeye Ahi Tostadas, and Crispy Zuccinni. For drinks, we had the Spicy Nirvana. My main Entree was the Bacon Tarragon Creme 8oz Filet Mignon, the best steak I've had on the island. And dessert was Roy's signature melting hot chocolate souffle and Waikiki Mud Pie. I had a great experience and staff was super friendly, their bar is really nice as well. I highly suggest coming here for small parties and couples. Thank you, and God Bless Roy's Waikiki!

Roy's Waikiki is an amazing restaurant!

This was our first visit to Roy's Waikiki; we've been visiting Waikiki for over 30 years. Our so encouraged us to visit Roy's Waikiki with him on this trip.

Oh my, I can't even imagine a better dining experience. The restaurant is staffed with professional and friendly staff attending to our every need. The menu is robust; there is truly something for everyone. Expect to spend about 2 hours for dinner.

The service was great; our entrées were prepared and served to perfection. Our beverages were top shelf!

Do yourself a favor and give Roy's Waikiki a try; you will not be disappointed!

Great service! Friendly staff. The food tasted excellent. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity. Many dishes could be made gluten free. On the expensive side. Service was so fast. We were acknowledged for our 25th wedding anniversary by the hostess, the servers, and the food runners.

I decided to come here for my birthday and I am glad that I did! Edamame is the equivalent of complimentary bread here. Sushi was fresh, but sauce was on the sweeter side. My filet mignon was also on the sweeter side. Cannot blame them as Hawaiian cuisine tends to lean toward that flavor spectrum. The lava cake however is the BEST that I have ever had! They gave me a complimentary strawberry ice cream since it was my birthday as well : )

This place was superb. The portions are generous and the unique flavors and savory combinations were so thrilling to eat that it felt like a true culinary journey. My husband and I came here two nights in a row because we loved it so much. Not only was the food spectacular, the entire staff was also warm and inviting. Special shout out to our waiter Maike, who treated us like family both nights. Thank you!

I've had great fish at a lot of fancy restaurants, but I've never had fish like this. The hibachi salmon and the macadamia nut crusted Hawaiian fish were absolutely unreal. Forever changed the way I think about fish as a meal.

Lots of fancy restaurants, the food scales up, but the service stays average. Not so, here. The service was every bit as incredible as the food. It was formal and yet welcoming. Highly professional, but also warm. Very impressive!

Atmosphere was upscale, but there were still plenty of muted Hawaiian shirts and tan cargo shorts.

Highly recommend going here!

Worth. The. Price. Every dish was a unique culinary experience that made me wish I could try everything on the menu. Highly recommend the basil bacon pesto salmon pita appetizer. It sounded so interesting and it was delicious. It all was! We watched the staff move about like a well oiled machine they were all such hard workers! I do wish I tried the soufflé over the pineapple cake (not that it was bad it just wasn’t as incredible as the pita appetizer & the fillet dish)

Celebrated a birthday while visiting Hawaii and Roy's was the perfect place to have a memorable experience. Food was excellent and the service was fantastic! Highly recommend the chocolate souffle!

My family had a wonderful time. Definitely made our last night in Hawaii more memorable. I’m so glad I took my parents here. We did the prifix 3 course meal and the portions were perfect, we were so stuffed by the end. And the wine parings were well done. Presentations and taste were both great. Wasn’t crazy about the appetizers but the main and the wine pairings made up for it. The waiters were fantastic they were super courteous but very pleasant and friendly. Would love to come back when I get a chance to visit Hawaii again, thank you for making our night 🤙
