We had an opportunity to stop at this wonderful restaurant after watching a beautiful sunset. When we arrived it was just after 6pm, and there was a short line, but the line moved quickly. While we were in line a server offered us a menu to preview and asked if we wanted to order drinks while we were in line. Great service as it keeps folks occupied as they are waiting in line. They have a wonderful selection of fish and can be served in in various preparations with your choice from different sides. I had the charbroiled snapper with fries and DH opted for the Cajun snapper with potatoes. You get a number when you order and pay at the counter. You find a seat in the restaurant and food arrives quickly. The fish was well cooked and seasoned! As we ate we noticed that the line continued to grow and by the time we finished our meal, the line went outside and wound its way around the front of the restaurant.

If you have the chance to stop by this restaurant, they will not disappoint. Great food, great prices, and great service!

Sitting here right now in a happy food coma. 😋 My daughter and I had chicken soft tacos and hubby had fish and chips. It was all so delicious and generous servings! We will return! Friendly employees, too.

We arrived just after the sunset and were pleasantly surprised to find only a short queue inside, which was quite agreeable to us. The staff promptly took our bar order and served us lilikoi passion fruit margaritas even before we placed our food order. We opted for the snapper, prepared both charbroiled and Cajun style. Our preference leaned towards the charbroiled version, as it maintained the natural, unaltered taste of the fish without adding extra saltiness. The food was, in a word, exceptional. As we were leaving, we noticed the queue had expanded significantly – the line now extended outside, down the stairs, and around the corner. It was a relief to realize that we had arrived just in time to enjoy our dinner without the long wait!

Awesome food. We were there around 120pm plenty of seating and service was quick even with our larger order. Food was flavorful, decent portions and really good. We had fish tacos, catch of the day (Cajun seasoning) mahi mahi burger, beef burger, calamari and clam chowder. I'd skip the shower next time other than that all A+
Brisk walk from the beach and casual environment.

What an awesome little Fish shop with an amazing menu and staff. We visited twice in our recent trip to Hawaii opting for Fish and Chips, Chicken Pasta, Chicken burger, Squid and the freshest of salads on the island. Highly recommend for everyone including travelling families. Yum 😋

A busy spot especially with 2-5 happy hour. The process to order was a bit confusing. You are able to get in the line to order at a counter when there are available tables. The servers bring the food right to the table. It worked well though.

My research did not disappoint! I wanted a local fish restaurant for lunch while in Waikiki. A 20 minute walk from our hotel at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and voila. The blackened Mahi was awesome as well as my wife's shrimp tacos and good portions for both. (See pics)

If you are looking for a place where you can get the taste of local fish, go here! My fish eating friend loved this place. They had a lot of local fishes and you can choose the way you want to cook the fish. Vegetarians get decent options here but not a lot. Found this hidden gem by accident. The price is affordable for the area!

We dined at Paia fish market about 6-7 years ago the last time we were in Honolulu and we always had a positive memory about the food. During our current trip to Honolulu we have dined at Paia fish market three times and we can’t get enough. It’s a super healthy and fresh option at a reasonable price even with inflation nowadays. Their food is always consistent and their service is always welcoming and friendly. One of our favourite places to eat when we are in Honolulu.

There was a long line to get in, but for good reason. I ordered the ono plate and ahi sashimi. The fish was incredibly fresh and delicious! The staff were really friendly and quick. The best meal I had in Waikiki by far.

We've been to the locations in Maui, but this was our first time here .
Less rustic than the ones on the neighbor island, but the same excellent food.
The fish tacos are simply wonderful.
Portion sizes are just right.

4.45/5 stars. Food is ordered at the counter and delivered to your choice of seating. This is a crowded place and the food is simply prepared and very good. I’m not a big fan of Hawaiian fish, but they make the best of it. Pricing is quite economical by Honolulu standards. Good place to take the family.

We randomly decided to eat here while walking around Waikiki trying to decide where to eat. The food smelled good and the atmosphere was enticing. While waiting in line to order everything looked and smelled good. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. My husband got the fish and chips which were amazing and I got the chicken pasta which was also delicious and a very generous portion. We would definitely recommend this place and eat here again.

Long story short, their fish is SO good. They have great ratings here for a reason. There are a few stores in Hawaii, with the main one in Paia, Maui, but there's also another location in Kailua. The waikiki store is usually pretty busy with lines wrapped around the corner, but the system is fast so you won't be waiting for long. My go-to and strong recommendation is to get anything Cajun blackened. The spice rub is soooo good, and the fish is always moist and fresh. I usually get the Mahi Mahi - perfect texture and holds up well to the grill. Coleslaw comes default, and you can choose another side which I always get the seasoned rice. Fries are okay.

Tartar sauce is available on tap, and is touchless where you wave your hand to dispense. You can't make reservations, but during busy times there will usually be a staff member dictating which tables to go to. You then order up front, bring the number to your table, and staff will bring your orders out once ready. They have great drinks at the bar along with happy hour specials. Parking is validated at the nearby Hyatt, you just have to walk for a bit. Make sure to ask for a validation sticker.

Food was amazing. I ordered Mahi mahi dinner plate, fried calamari, clam chowder soup, and a local Hawaiian beer for my drink for my dinner. I must say everything was fresh and tasty and the prices were pretty reasonable as well, service was great. I would defenitley recommend checking this place out.

This was without a doubt the best cut of fish I have ever had the pleasure of laying my taste buds on. Holy moly. My wife and I were in Waikiki for 7 days and we at at a Paia Fish Market like 6 times!

I had the Blackened Mahi with Cajun Rice and Potatoes and the flavor is just out of this world. I would 100% come back to Waikiki just to experience this again.

Had a fish craving and the craving was satisfied. Amazing fresh fish alongside the Cajun rice and home style potatoes. The mahi mahi burger was so juicy and tasty. The Ono was super fresh and crispy. I was pleasantly surprised by the clam chowder as well and it was so freaking delicious, I would dare say more delicious than some New England clam chowder.

Highly recommend if you are craving super fresh fish.

Food was fresh & delicious. We did take out so I didn’t even know they served drinks etc.
Off the strip so not on beach but was great to pick up and bring to a more scenic view.

Situated near our hotel, so we just walked there. As it was dinner time, there was a q. We q up for 20 minutes before we were allow inside. Inside we also had to join the q to place our order. As the 5 of us ordered the same food - salmon burger + clam chowder, the food came within 10 minutes. Gorgeous burger, with a big piece of salmon, lots of cheese and shredded cabbages.
