Tripler Army Medical Center

Had a great experience. Was referred from another island for vascular. The staff (Ana) and doctor (Ferguson) took me seriously and advised /performed treatment. I felt like they were compassionate, knowledgeable, and personable. The active duty staff at the liaison office were welcoming and helpful. The active duty members were polite and helpful in directing me and other lost people thru the hospital area.

It was nice that the facility has a mini shoppette, post office, cupcake shop, and a starbucks.

Traffic getting there is very busy and backed up. I visited twice, both times before 9am and drove an extra half hour just to get thru the gate. Leave early and plan ahead! Close parking gets snatched quickly, you may have to park on one of the lower tiers and walk the steep stairs/hill. I think there is a trolly?

We have had an overall great experience at tripler in primary care, specialty care, OBGYN and a c section for the birth of our son. Best military hospital I've seen in my 20 year career. There is always some good and bad wherever you go but the negative reviews of this place are bogus.

This review is specifically for the ENT department. Their staff were incredibly caring, knowledgeable, and saw that my condition was effectively treated from start to finish. I'm so glad that I came to them for help and can't recommend them enough.

Had an appt with dr James today in behavioral health and I wanted to say what a nice man he is!!! Dr James has gone above and beyond for me I wish nothing but the best for him. I hope tripler management sees this because that man deserves an award for his outstanding patient care. I think I see a lot of negative towards tripler but I want to point out that I have had nothing but good experiences there. Yes it is hard to reach anyone because they are all doing the job of 3 people and are doing the best they can. Also Dr James secretary is a nice lady and she dresses so nice it was very refreshing to see.

I had the best experience yesterday at tripler. I had to have an outpatient surgery with Dr Song in the ENT department. I can't say enough how amazing everyone was from the time we got there until we left the hospital. We moved here in August and heard some not so good things about tripler but I have no complaints! :)

The ER saved my life in 1978 after being run off of H1. The Dr's and nurses saved my life...And a true hero was the man who stopped and slid me onto a sleeping bag and somehow got me into the back of a VW bug and rushed me to the ER where I was bleeding to death.
I wish that I knew the names of everyone. Just want to give a huge shout out for saving my life .

I was born there on October 1, 1976.
I was born with severe hershspruns disease and nearly died.
I'm now 47 years old, happily married and have a beautiful 17 yr old daughter and 2 beautiful kitty daughters and I can't spell hershsprungs disease...lol...

How the hell could I possibly give anything less than 5 stars ! I'm alive and happy because of that place.

So far, so good!!! Every physician I see has been exceptional!!! I have received a lot of care at Tripler, and I recommend them. Mahalo!!!

Just finished an appointment at the ENT clinic. Doctors were fantastic, caring , thoughtful and concerned. Hospital was spotless. The only draw back sort of is parking however if you arrive early enough there is a shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off at the door so give yourself plenty of time.

Overall great hospital. Nursing staff & surgeons are knowledge. Just stay away from their Sick call & youll be in good hands

My wonderful son was born at Tripler Army Medical Center in the first part of this century and he is doing great. People like to talk garbage when people are people, and mistakes are made, but that is life. For me, I give praise to all the hardworking staff, physicians, technicians, nurses and doctors at Tripler Hospital. Thank you for your service.

I went in and was in pretty bad shape and as usual medical staff was pretty busy it kinda sucked but I have 0 complaints they was 2 gentleman crockett and dean and the guy doing my labs can’t remember his name but these guys went above and beyond I do plan on meeting up with them and buying them dinner or something they took pride in what they did and I could type all day expressing my gratitude but I’ll just say if these guys could get an award it would be ashamed if they wasn’t recognized for the extra mile they went I hope I never go back but if I do I hope I’m in there care

I had the best labor and delivery experience at Tripler. Nurses were outstanding and provided exceptional care through a 36 hour labor. The nurse anesthetist who performed my epidural, Kathy, I would trust with my life. I genuinely couldn't have wished for a better overall experience. If I were to ever have more children, I'd want to have them here.

Nicest people ever! Everyone is so kind. I get lost easily and the staff are kind enough to walk me to my appointments. Everyone asks me if I need anything. Even doctors stop and try to help me find my way. The staff are always smiling and helpful.

THIS IS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS CLINIC AT TRIPLER.
Clinic has been fantastic for our 10 yo. They have pulmonary, ent, gi, childhood psychiatrist( so helpful), social worker and drum roll… a pharmacist who comes to clinic and goes over everything with the amazing dr. Gould so that it doesn’t need to be repeated. Then orders your meds there and you can use their QR code to Que in line for all your meds. They used to just bring them up to you at your clinic appt but have since lost that staff member. Still so convenient!
The nurse coordinator Faith is fantastic and is so responsive. Everyone has been great. For being on an island, the care is top notch and a hidden gem here in the pacific. All radiology and labs have been able to be done on site. Only thing we’ve had to be referred out for are his yearly eye exams.

I have been hospitalized here when I was pregnant, my first child was born here and was hospitalized later when he got really sick. My third son was also admitted to the pediatric unit here and he just reveived tubes in his ears today. I've been here enough times to give a thorough and well rounded review. Each and every time we've been here, the doctors, nurses and staff have been incredible. I've heard bad reviews of this hospital but I have never experienced anything negative here and am totally grateful for all they have done for me and my children.

I would like to thank the entire staff over at Tripler. My mom went there with a life threatening blood infection. She was given a 20 percent chance to survive. That was 2 weeks ago. I just got off the phone with her and she's already talking and doing physical therapy. To me that's nothing short of a miracle.

Had my fourth baby here it was a good experience. Every one was very nice and the doctors took good care of me when my water was leaking at 34-35 weeks pregnant. I was a new patient to them since most of my pregnancy doctors appointments had been in Japan. They took care of me as if they had been seeing me since day one . I’m great full to have had my baby and I taken care of by the doctors, nurses and all the staff at Tripler hospital.
