I have been a long time patient with Dr. Monica Salgueiro for 9 years! She saved my life. What attracted me to her practice is her holistic approach to treating mental health illnesses, besides solely prescribing medication. She helped me graduate college which took forever for me because of my issues. She is truly gifted in assessing a patient and knowing what medication is appropriate or best coupled together. She even does a DNA test to see which medication is best for your genes to avoid a longer trial and error process. I am sad to discontinue treatment with her this year because I no longer need to be on medication. Her referrals are exceptional as well! The two therapist she has given me over the last decade have been the best. I am forever grateful for her knowledge and guidance 🙏👼🏼✨✨

Dr.Monica is a colleague I refer clients to regularly; she is extraordinarily caring and provides comprehensive treatment from a Family Therapy approach. Importantly, she is wonderful in coordinating care with other providers (psychotherapists, pediatricians) to assure that the patient receives the best care possible. She is extremely selective in consideration of psychopharmacology and does not encourage any treatment which might not be necessary. Cannot speak highly enough from a professional standpoint how wonderful this provider is :) You can breathe easy knowing your child or family member is under her care.

Dr. Salgueiro is very knowledgeable and thorough. She takes her time to listen to her clients and if needed prescribe appropriate medications. She had helped me and my family and I highly recommend her. Although she doesn’t take insurance, in my opinion she is worth the additional cost and her prices are reasonable. Thank you Dr. Salgueiro for all that you do for me and my family. We appreciate you.

Incredible doctor. Was in a very bad mental state when i first started treatment with her and was very unsure about the idea of seeing a psychiatrist but she's very warm and comforting to speak to, she listens intently and addresses all angles of your concerns and explains everything very clearly but more than anything she's INCREDIBLY reliable. She has always responded to my E-mails or calls in any situation i was facing with my treatment whether it was a slight concern or an emergency she takes care of it right away. Would recommend to anyone who needs a quality doctor who actually takes pride in her practice.

As a Licensed Psychologist, I have found Dr. Salgueiro to be a seriously helpful member of the treatment team for hundreds of my patients. She is highly professional, caring, and keeps the many therapists who refer to her, totally informed of her care. Given the national shortage of psychiatrists, we are indeed fortunate to have Dr. Salgueiro in our community!

You will not find a doctor that truly puts her patients best interest first and foremost. Not only is she tremendously knowledgeable, her compassion is something that just doesn’t exist these days.

Really good only downside is almost all the times I arrive there 30 min before my appointment and end up waiting 1-2 hours after my scheduled time. Really sucks cause then it messes up the rest of my day sometimes I'll have to reschedule bc I can't skip classes.

It was years ago but I loved her. She made me see a lot of things I could not realize.

She saved my life. I would place my hands in fire for her.
