Super nice park, has great shade and an awesome trail around the park along side a little creek. Great picnic tables too. Downside is no dogs allowed. No smoking or vaping. No alcoholic beverages. But other than that nothing wrong with the park. Oh and I almost forgot to mention to cool museum we got to check out while we were there. Free admission too!

I love this park! It's fun to take the family and ride scooters, play on the playground, or to walk around and look at the beautiful lights during winter!

We always make it to see these lights every year. Not only do you have the option to drive through to see the lights, but you can also park your car to walk around. We ended up doing both. The lights are beautiful and also fun. There are buttons around the park that allow you to push to hear the sounds of the animals... the kids love finding the buttons and taking turns pushing them. The kids really enjoy this place, and it's quickly become an added family tradition.

A miniatute wall of the Vietnam Memorial The Wall in DC is here and a stop on the 2023 Tour Of Honor as one of Utah's 7 submissions. Very nice setting, well done Memorial.
Also have a Memorial to Military and Police Canines.

This park is so fun! It is so relaxing to walk around the trail and just watch the birds all year round. There are a few pavilions where you can sit and enjoy a picnic too if you want. Love it here!

Lights After Dark, in Layton Commons Park, is an annual event you don’t want to miss! It is a free event for the whole family! Everything in the parks north east side is decorated with countless lights, plus animated scenes through out the park. You can opt to drive through the park and/or walk through it. There is limited parking in the park and at the police station or Surf-n-Swim. I highly recommend this vibrant winter wonderland for the whole family! I also recommend the Lights after Dark for dates and friend get togethers. The pictures don’t do the park justice.

During the rest of the year, Layton Commons park is a great place to let the kids play on the playground, swings, feed the beautiful ducks, picnic, renting a pavilion for events, going to Surf-n-Swim, walking and an ideal place for having professional photos taken. There are 2 baseball diamonds and a football field. Highly recommend!

Every winter, during the festive holiday season, the city of Layton creates a free spectacular atmosphere of wonder and delight with multiple ways to experience it. On the ground, around the trees, high in the branches above. There are hidden aspects like buttons you can push to hear a matching sound to what you see. Moving and stationary displays. Religious and whimsical are represented. You can park your car and walk the designated path, ride the mini train, or drive thru and view hundreds of lighted figures. With seasonal music favorites to get you in the spirit. Local groups provide warm treats like cocoa. Several donation boxes are posted throughout to provide a donation to support the display.

My grandson is two and requests "the red playground." The equipment is safe, toddler friendly, has bucket swings, and typically attracts younger children. It's perfect for him!

We make it a family tradition every year to go see the lights they've put up for Christmas. You can enjoy 99% of it from the comfort of your car, for those who get cold easily that makes it extra nice.

This place is Amazing. My brother is a Veteran as is my husband and they are very proud of it. My brother was one of the Vets who petitioned Layton UT to bring in a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall like the one in DC. This one is safer to visit and closer to some than the Original Wall in DC. It it beautiful and I hope many go to pay tribute to their loved ones and lost friends there in Layton UT.
Check out the photos.

It's a very kids friendly park with 2 different playground. And the hiking trails along the creek leads to a pond has plenty of ducks and geese. The ducks and geese sometimes are spreading along the creek and my kid loves to go to feed them and running around with them. The little playground is the most shady one around the neighborhoods and it's our summer favorite one.

One of the best things about living in Layton is the Layton Commons Park. The Christmas light display is beautiful and free to enjoy, but also the "Layton-fest" each Friday with live entertainment and food truck roundup is my favorite! The amphitheater hosts some big name talent. We have the Vietnam War Memorial wall, and the park is beautiful with a winding creek and many domesticated ducks & geese. Also found at the park is the Surf & Swim indoor pool and the Layton Heritage Museum. I love our little city park!

Lovely park with multiple different sections that you can go to, some are quieter than others, and some are busier/more populated. There's a few pavilions for having food, and plenty of grassy areas for a nice picnic. Lots of ducks of course, there's a central pond that they like to spend time in, and you can get pretty close to them if you approach them right.

Went to a car show here last Saturday. Beautiful space and tons of green grass to enjoy any outdoor activities with the family.

The Christmas lights here are fantastic. I drove through with a friend one evening, and walked through 2 nights before Christmas. The walk is worth the cold, so bundle-up, & brave the cold so that you can view the animals & the spectacles in lights, up-close! There was even a family giving us hot cocoa free!

Wonderful Christmas lights. It was great for my elderly mother who wants to go to the lights but can't walk through them. However, for those that want to walk through you can. It's really beautiful and free. We will come back.
