AdventHealth Medical Group Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Kissimmee

I went to AdventHealth Medical Group Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Kissimmee, with Dr. Ilan Aharoni to do an endoscopy and my experience has been spectacular since I arrived at that hospital. The staff in general is extremely attentive, friendly, respectful. The nurses who attended me during the process were so kind, detailed and helped me in everything. I have not received this kind of care for a long time and I am extremely grateful to them. I recommend them 1000%...! thanks for everything.!

Excellent staff, Great service. Mammogram team were knowledgeable & professional. Very clean facility & has lockers for personal belongings.

Too difficult to get parking

Got denied for an appointment that I was waiting on for five months because I was "2 minutes outside of the late window", I had 2:30 in my calendar and they said it was 2:20, I always double check with the person on the phone when Im setting up an appointment, I double checked with them before putting it in the calendar, I've also never had or scheduled an appointment at a weird time like 2:20 in any doctors appointment to begin with because most offices schedule in 30 minute intervals on the hour

Why is it so difficult to speak to a person on the phone. I went in person to discuss a script that was sent to my pharmacy which was never received. I am now into week three of not being able to get this office to understand they just have to resend a script. You have to leave a message with clinical staff which is never returned. You call and the receptionist will kindly tell you that she is sending a message to the clinical staff. What a surprise, no one calls me or responds. The management at this office is very poor. I will find another digestive care office to go to. Ms. Colon, and Dr. Gomez were helpful and attentive, however, there is something wrong with the office staff and their organization. Fix it folks, people are complaining.

I have been a patient for over five years. I called for an appointment and left a message. Called again the next day. Calls for appointments were never returned. Finally I went into the office today deciding that was the only way to get an appointment and was told it would be two months even though I was having stomach pains. Made an appointment for the next day with a different practice. Sad that this office is so dysfunctional as AdventHealth has always been my first choice.

I started coming to this office back in February complaining of upper abdominal pain. At first it seemed fine. But then I had to get in touch with the office because the medication I was changed to was unable to be filled due to insurance. After the pharmacy sent multiple faxes to this office regarding this. I started calling. I called several times before a new medication was final sent over. This took weeks, but due to how long I’d had to wait for an appointment almost 3 months I decided to stay so I could get my endoscopy done. Had the procedure done, very nice Dr. but then it was another 3 weeks for a follow up. In the meantime more problems and symptoms started to occur. I tried calling to get a sooner appointment and it was the same thing no one answered. Follow up finally came around and I told Mellisa Belrado the nurse practitioner everything that was going on. And she told me to change my diet (lowfodmap) and she would order a stool test. I did everything she told me to do. My symptoms only got worse instead of better. And my stool test came back abnormal and noone called me. The pain became severe so I went to the E.R. Twice. It wasn’t until the second E.R. Visit that the er dr.found that I have a lower g.i bleed. However because my hemoglobin is stable I was sent home and told to follow up immediately with my gastro. It has been a week since the first er visit and 1 day since the second. I have called non stop since last week Friday leaving message after message and no return call. I even spoke yesterday to nurse Jackie and explained the situation and what was found at the emergency room and was told by Jackie to just go back to the er if I’m not well. And when I tried to explain again to her that I was just released from the er and I need to see my gastro dr immediately for a colonoscopy to find out why I am bleeding inside she she hold and transferred me right back to the same answering machine I have left multiple messages on. I do not understand what the problem is with this office or practice but I am bleeding inside and I have no idea why and I cannot even get a phone call back on the situation. The EMERGENCY ROOM IS NOT MY DR. I have a gastroenterologist for a reason. And I should be able to call my Dr. office and schedule an appointment immediately whenever I need to not to mention when there is clearly a problem happening inside of me. I expect more out of Advent Health Dr offices. And should be able to get proper care.

Aida Colon, ARNP shouldn’t be in practice and should have her license revoked!! She has terrible bedside manner, argues with the patient and then falsifies medical records stating she did an exam when all she did was type on her computer and never touch the patient!! She shouldn’t be allowed to treat patients as I’m scared how many have died because of her poor/ nonexistent care she provides. Additionally the staff has you arrive an hour early for your appointment only to end up waiting 3+ hours for the provider, probably because she is arguing with the patient before you and not listening to their complaints or ailments.. Worst care I have ever experienced and I work in healthcare!! This woman must be stopped before she hurts or kills someone she hasn’t already!

Dr Gomez is a great doctor however I don’t understand why the staff overbooked patients and when you need a follow up because you were in the ER and were told by the ER doctor to follow up with your gastro doctor you are not able to get an appointment. I too have experience calling the office many times trying to get a quicker appointment leaving messages which the voice message says to leave and they will get back to you In 24 to 48 hours and they don’t call back. 24-48 hours could be fatal for any given patient who has been to the ER with an emergency. Why can’t they leave open appointments for people who might need to see their Gastro Doctor in cases like these. Un fortunately though I like Dr Gomez I must look elsewhere for my treatment. I have been coming to this office since 2013 I’m truly sad to have to leave but my health comes before all else.

Very poor customer service my PCP made an appointment for me but it was on a day that I work, I've been trying to call the office for 2 weeks to cancel and reschedule my appointment. I have called 4 times a day and left messages. No one picks up the phone in this office or returns calls very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. My insurance only allows an adventhealth provider and I am going to one 40 mins away because they atleast pickup the phone, if I had another choice to with my insurance I would go in a heartbeat since the adventhealth system in a whole has really poor communication and customer service with specialist

This has to be worst office staff I have encountered. When Dr Atiq first started he and the staff where very good/helpful and thorough. However they steadily declined over the years and once they went to advent health introduced more doctors....which you never see (only for procedures) only the nurse practitioners in office. They had a new receptionist who doesn’t help in any way nature or form and over the years and now it is a disaster. The office manager should not be in her position and should be fired. So frustrated with the way they treat their patients. I pulled my files and will never go back to this Gastroenterologist.

She proved that it’s a business, she doesn’t return calls or listen to her patients. I guess she only tends to who ever pays her more, front desk staff are very unprofessional, left about six messages and never received a call. Nothing like New York doctors. Florida doctors are lazy and negligent, if she’s horrible I can image the other doctors on the hospital

I’m very disappointed at the care, attention, priority and procedures done/results timely.
