Great atmosphere, food, and service. The owner, Sal, came to the table several times throughout our meal to check in on us, made us laugh, ensured we had everything we needed and was super friendly and personable as if we were long time friends (this was my first time here). Ordering was smooth, you just go to the counter and tell them what you'd like, they give you a table number, and bring the food/drinks out when it's ready. Food arrived quickly and staff were attentive and kind. Really generous portions and delicious! I ordered the chicken sope and a Lily's Margarita - so good! Paying was also easy, just let them know when you're ready, they give you a ticket to take to the payment area, the owner himself rang me up! Highly recommend!

The pico de Gallo had great balance of flavors with just right amount of jalapeños. It has was insanely good. The salsa bar was excellent, not overpowering in terms of heat. But the freshness was notable. The chips were thick and a little chewy. It is ashame that they do not have a patio. This would be the perfect ingredients for day drinking!

I really like this south city Mexican restaurant. The tacos are very good. Get the carnitas tacos. Got a selection off the menu. All were good the carnitas blew me away.

The beans were great! The Mexican rice was ok. Truthfully I am not a rice fan. This was acceptable.

It is veteran owned, something I like to see in the places that I patronize. This is a winner!

Me and my wife felt like some good Mexican food and so we decided to give Lily's Mexican Restaurant a try...WE LOVED IT!!!

The food was amazing and the the service was fantastic! It has a real homely feel about the place and we will be returning to try more things from their menu. I had the chicken fajitas and my wife had the chicken tacos.
If you like down to earth and real food made with passion then this is a must!

Don't let the hole in the wall vibe scare you away; the food is incredible! They have a salsa bar. The chili con queso was stellar!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in St. Louis!! The food is perfect! You MUST try the queso and margaritas- also the shrimp tacos and fajitas are our go-to items. This family run business is run by the kindest family and they have a true passion for what they do. Everything is MADE TO ORDER - fresh! So yes you will wait a little bit for your food but it’s worth it. I promise.

This place is a hidden gem! Felt like "mom" was making a home cooked meal for us. She even made a special gluten-free, vegetarian taco dinner option for me that wasn't on the menu. I will definitely come here again!

This place is run by such a nice family! It's hard to find properly good Mexican/Tex-Mex in this city, but Lily's is the absolute best in the state!

First time being there and the atmosphere was nice. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Things are made to order including the margaritas. Meals come with chips and fresh salsa. There are different salsas to choose from.

Love everything about Lily’s. It’s a family run restaurant that not only has amazing food and the best queso I’ve ever had, but the family is so sweet and amazing. It’s become our official go to place for girls night. If you’re looking for authentic homemade Mexican food Lily’s is the best

Everything is made by hand, so it does take a while if they are busy, but it is worth it. Excellent margaritas, tasty food, and they have one super hot salsa which was fantastic! And the staff is super sweet.

Very delicious authentic Mexican food with added American options. They have a kids menu. Chips and salsa free with purchase of meal. Extremely friendly custimer service! The best of family owned business!! Only thing they are missing is horchata.

Lily's authentic Mexican food was great, fresh chips and homemade salsa and one had a tilapia shrimp dish and the other had a pork chop dish with rice and beans. The atmosphere was great family was very friendly and the price was good average $11 a dish. Next time I want to try the enchiladas are the shrimp dish it was right across the street from White Castle on South kingshighway.

Lovely little family owned restaurant. You are greeted with amazing smells followed by the wonderful owners. Their food is delicious along with their house margaritas. I recommend the baria if they have that on the menu for the day!

We loved this place! The food is fresh and you can taste the difference. The owners care about what they do and are very friendly and welcoming. Best fish tacos and queso! Most places you can tell the queso has been sitting, but here it was melty and delicious. Definitely come here and support this small family run business!

The food was amazing! I ordered take out and they had it ready to go within 20 minutes. Ordered a cheese quesadilla for myself, and 3 beef tacos and a Mexicana for my husband and we loved everything! The couple that runs the place are friendly and courteous. Will definitely be back to try more!

Tried this place tonight and it did not disappoint! Casual counter service and relaxed atmosphere. We brought our 5 month old along and enjoyed elevated Mexican food and margaritas at a great price. Enjoyed speaking with one of the owners who really made us feel welcome. Great flavors and enjoyed the salsa bar. We will be back!
