The new system they have there when you can call in and speak to Mrs. Sykes, she is absolutely amazing. She knows what she’s talking about. She’s very thorough. She follows through and she makes the process seamless. I don’t have to leave my house or stay on the line for hours. I can just give her a call and she will follow up. I am very satisfied with her service and professionalism. Mrs. Sykes is the best.

I went up to the office yesterday and the older latina lady and the window helped me soo much. I wish I knew her name. She will be blessed 🙏.

No one ever answers the phone! The caseworkers and their managers voicemails are all always full so you can't even leave a voicemail. I submitted an application back in October of 2023 it is now coming to the end of January 2024 in my application has yet to even be started. After the first 30 days I followed up and then received a letter saying they were behind but they would get to it within 30 days I gave it another month and tried to follow up and was told it hasn't even been started yet. I called back again today and it still has not been started.4 months later STILL NOT STARTED!! Completely unacceptable!

I'm so upset! On September 11th, 2023 I had a mini stroke. I applied for the Senior medicaid and food stamp program. They were suppose to call me on October 10th and never did! Ironically, I received a letter BY MAIL 2 days later telling me I had a phone interview scheduled for the 10th of October! Again, nobody called and I've left 3 messages to reschedule my phone interview NOBODY HAS YET TO CALL!!! Why are they playing with people livelihood?! 🤬😡

I've been trying to get assistance from them for over a year and they kept denying me. they wouldn't update the website, they would send me appt letters 6 days after the appt date, and they would never call me on the appt date. when I called, they would never pick up and their voicemail wasn't set up.

If there was a zero star option I would have chose that one. This place is a joke as stated. NO ONE CALLS YOU BACK if you are lucky enough to get a voicemail that is not full. They will cancel your case and claim no review turned in.

I wish there was an option for zero stars. Access to public assistance is a blessing, but if I’m being honest, it is not some thing that the average person desires to be on. At least not me. It is already challenging enough not being able to have the funds to fully support yourself or your child on your own. The least that these people who work in these offices could do is be kind and helpful. The customer service is atrocious and the manner of these people is extremely disappointing. You can’t even have a simple phone call answered. It is so unfortunate that it is so hard to find decent customer service these days. I hope that one day the staff that comes into this office has at least a bit of kindness, and want to help people in these trying times. We need more good people in this world.

They close mom’s Medicaid every other year, it seems. Just like that- no explanation, no way to reach them, and when they answer, they bring up some random numbers, which are very easy to disprove. Mom’s in 4th stage cancer, and every time it happens, she has to miss her treatments. No one answers the phone, full voicemail often. And people… oh my word!.. I hope they will get the same treatment as they do to others- hardly can find nastier, rotten humans.

The caseworkers never return your phone call. they are impossible to get a hold of. Every time I go down there I get told something different. They are so unorganized it's frustrating. It doesn't seem like anyone knows what they are doing there. Every week I have to call or go down there due to some issue that takes forever to get resolved. They always have some excuse and always tell me something different. It doesn't seem like they even communicate with each other. They just give you the run around. It's so frustrating and stressful to deal with these people. There's always an issue with my food stamps that takes them months to resolve and I never get what I'm backed owed. It's like they don't even want to help or don't care.

Never left a bad review anywhere before because I know everyone has bad days, things happen and there’s only so much people can do but Lawddd have mercy. The staff (on multiple occasions) were so extremely rude. My caseworker would never respond (this is months of calls and requests) I applied in November, got every single bit of proof needed to do so, had it stamped as received and still took three applications and 6 months of waiting. Yep didn’t get approved until MAY.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! I've called to talk to my case manager Ms Smallwood every day for 2 weeks, and Ms Sykes told me she was there but she never picks up the phone. I completed my renewal early and still haven't received my food stamps even though it says approved on gateway and active when I call my card. Ms Sykes is rude and told me I can keep calling everyday it doesn't matter, they are behind and will get to me when they get to me. I am 6 mo pregnant and have a daughter and I can't make appointments because I don't have Medicaid and can't pay out of pocket and I can't eat because I have no stamps. I'm literally about to spend my rent money on food. It's been 4 days since they were supposed to hit plus the month since the last time they hit. This is ridiculous and Ms Smallwood is a waste of space, Ms Sykes is rude and unprofessional and I will be calling the supervisor Ms Martin and providing an update on that. If that doesn't work, I have the resources to reach out to sources higher up. Do your job. This is people's lives your playing with. What if it was your family at risk?

This place is a joke, even the old DMV was more productive. Your food stamps need to be renewed? They have 30 days to get back to you. And if they don't get back to you in those 30 days? They just close your case and pretend you never existed.

Everyone in this office needs to be fired.
