Book Rack

Visited on Feb 10, 2023. Very helpful in trying to find books. More romance novels than I ever thought existed. Lots of common authors of mystery books. A few books on political history and cookbooks. No books on conspiracy theories, UFOs, or non-mainstream subjects.

I love this place! I was greeted with southern hospitality and helped the entire time. There are hundreds of options for much cheaper than other bookstores. Definitely a place to visit!

This store was great. Fair prices, nice man behind the counter (likely the owner) was super friendly and helpful. We never pass up a good book store and this one certainly fit that bill. It's too bad it's 900 miles from our new home, but if we ever go back visiting, we'll be sure to stop in and say hi. You won't be disappointed if you spend a half hour looking around!

What a gem of a place to have! Bookstores like this are a rarity and have such a great appeal over big box stores. During my times there, I have noticed the owner willing to chat it up about authors, books, local fare and history of the area, or let customers quietly peruse the shelves in peace. The selection is great and the store has a unique ambiance that you won't find anywhere else in town. A definite place to check out. One of my clients was requesting a bookstore session and he graciously let us use the store for 30 mins. I couldn't leave without grabbing his portrait.

Great bookstore. Owner very helpful and personable. He and wife are retiring the end of the year. I hope someone buys it and keeps it open.

Decent place, the owners are very pleasant, plenty of stock. Plenty to choose from. Also very old school. They don't even use a register.

We stopped in to pass some time. Found plenty of books for the kids, and picked one for myself. Will shop there again if we happen to be in Shreveport.

Such a cute, local little place I didn't even know we had around here! I've driven past it a few times, but it always looked so small, but it is a lot bigger on the inside! We found some fun items and some good sale items for $1-2! Definitely will be back.

The staff here is so kind, and they’re willing to call you any time they’re going to have a sale. I love the selection, too. It’s one of those warmer shops where you feel like, as opposed to larger chain giants, that you’re visiting old friends.

Huge stock of used books ranging from rare extra old publications to current bestsellers. The owners/managers who kept shop were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable if not inexpensive.
