Giant Food

I shopped for a long time. Found everything I needed. The bill came to $800 & change. None of my cards worked. The cashier really helped me. She was wonderful. We called my bank PNC & they could not help me because I didn’t know my pin#. I went to the bank (as they requested) & it was closed. I’m going to call The Giant now to tell them I’ll come back tomorrow & try to pick up my groceries. And I’ll bring my daughter along. She can pay for the groceries.

Giant Food Market's 'Scan-As-You-Go' feature has revolutionized my shopping routine. The ability to scan items while browsing makes for a faster checkout, and it's become a significant draw for me. While Giant isn't my top choice for groceries, it's a close second due to this innovative feature. The store's variety is impressive, and navigating through aisles feels straightforward. However, occasional hiccups in the scanning process can be a bit frustrating. Despite this, Giant's convenience and decent selection consistently bring me back for a stress-free shopping experience.

This is a smaller neighborhood supermarket. Why come here? Easy in, easy out, decent selection, good support/service staff. The staff is led by Stacy Wendt and Don ? of the Giant management team. The reason to shop here is the staff, they work hard to support their customers. Last week their transaction system shut down, as a result, they couldn't process electronic payments. Stacey and Don tried hard to assist the customers, in their transactions. They were not 100% successful, but their efforts were appreciated.

Unlike the Giant in Owen Brown, this store was a pleasant surprise. Store was very clean and employees were friendly.

Very clean store and the cashier was very polite and friendly. She even put my watermelon into my cart and told me that anytime I want to buy something heavy, just someone to help me. They were low on some things that I want but I guess true every where these days. It's still a nice store. I was upset with no salad bar at the location i went to. Some have a small one. Some don't have one at all

I shop lightly here. There's always plenty of stock and good sales.

I usually enjoy my visit. Sometimes their prices can be a little high on certain items. Staff is typically visible, friendly and very helpful. On my last visit, March 2020, I was struggling with carrying more items than anticipated of purchasing and an employee offered me a shopping cart because he observed me struggling. That was very refreshing. I am usually able to find what I'm looking for. They also keep their shelves stocked pretty good. Unfortunately sometimes the lines to cash out can be a long. The store is also fairly clean and I love the fact that they offer disinfectant wipes to clean your cart or the hand basket. I do visit here periodically for basic shopping needs. I've had pretty good success with their fresh fruits and vegetables.

Nice but I saw the gaint owner replied me so I want to add something so I would like to say that for the cake section that needs me close after 11 because most people likes to celebrate around 12 and do not have time during day for buying cake and all stuff so my experience is I always come to buy a cake after 10:30pm so I can't write something on cake because that section is already closed by that time so it would be better to change time thanks 🙂

Always spotless with friendly staff, fresh produce and a great selection of groceries. Excellent bakery.

Very good service. There is only one drawback, and it is not their fault so I didn't want to penalize star ratings. The traffic getting in and out of this shopping centre is ghastly! I wish the county could do something.

This grocery has always been excellent.
On the few occasions I have asked about the availability of an item they generally carry, they have had the items available each visit thereafter. Their prices are competitive and they have valuable specials. Store is clean and staff are knowledgeable.

I was staying at a local hotel and needed a few things and came in to Giant. Had never been in one but having been to many stop and shop in the NE the layout was super familiar. It had everything I needed and everyone was nice. Plenty of parking and easy to find.

Re: Vicki in floral 2/14/18: Today on Valentine's day I went to my usual giant store and picked up a few flowers for a special occassion. Well, I couldn't be more pleased with how nicely I was treated by Vicki who was kind enough to wrap the flowers I wanted to buy. She was quick, did a beautiful job and was really nice. I really need to give her credit. She was working very hard to help everyone and I could see that she cared about what she was doing. It really made my day because it made it easy to make something really nice for my sweetheart. So I wanted to take a minute out of my busy day to thank giant for hiring very nice people like Vicki who I can see work very hard to make a difference. Thanks again.

I bought a huge package of paper towel a couple of days ago and noticed over a day later that I left it at the self-check out kiosk. Of course, this is the one receipt I couldn't find. I called to explain and they told me to come in anyway. They let me grab another one with no hassle. I thought this was really kind and demonstration of good customer service.

This is one of the nicest stores I have ever been in. People have gone out of their way to help me find things which have been right under my nose. literally. Sometimes they discontinue items that we've liked, but I understand: they have to stock what's going to sell the best. The produce is always being looked after carefully. We have gotten some items that, upon further inspection at home, have been bad; however, the items were replaced, always free of charge. Try to shop carefully: all the stores crowd up before ta holiday. Nice to be retired. I can go at 7-8:00 in the morning and NOBODY'S THERE!! Woo Hoo! I'm in and out in a heartbeat!!

Cashier was friendly and helpful. They have way better customer service than there Dorsey search location. You'd think your shopping in a totally different food chain.

Store was neat and had everything I needed. Also several items I went for were on sale. The only negative thing I'd say is the cashier bagged my groceries and left them on the counter and then walked away after I paid. I compared this to Harris Teeter where they bag your groceries, put them in the cart and bring the cart around to you.

I like giant because it has fresh mark downs in all location , plus they are super help at the gas pump every month I get a $1.50 up to 20 gallons off of gas at Shell.. you can't beat that in these times. Thank you Giant

This place has the most incredible array of triscuts. I bought the garden herb and rosemary flavors. They were on sale and I couldn't pass up on the savings. My dog loved the triscuts as well although it gave him explosive diarrhea that got all over my fox fur carpet. Luckily, this place had an amazing variety of cleaning supplies to take care of it.
