Saint Louis Hop Shop

I recently had the pleasure of visiting STL Hop Shop for the first time to support DJ Ferg and Volumes Speaks during their collaboration with the store and Northside Soul. Let me tell you, it was an exceptional experience that left a lasting impression on me.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The place was buzzing with excitement, and the positive energy was contagious.

One of the standout aspects of STL Hop Shop is their remarkable craft beer selection. I was thrilled to see such a diverse and well-curated collection of local and regional brews. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their offerings, making recommendations based on my preferences and guiding me toward new and exciting flavors. It's evident that they take pride in showcasing the best of what the local craft beer scene has to offer.

As an artist myself, I was particularly drawn to the artwork displayed throughout the shop. The walls were adorned with captivating pieces created by talented local St. Louis artists. It was inspiring to see the creativity and skill of my fellow artists on full display. The combination of great beer,music, and stunning artwork created a dynamic and engaging environment that truly celebrates the vibrant arts and culture scene of St. Louis.

Most likely will return and continue supporting the local talent while enjoying the fantastic offerings of STL Hop Shop.

Brilliant selection. They even had some local Scratch brews which we were desperate to try! Very knowledgeable lovely lads.

They are always super friendly and helpful. We always find a new favorite. This time was the sampler pack from Boulevard. Love the mix and match six pack options. The variety is great from mead, wine, cider, and beer.

This shop is top notch. The owner is incredibly nice and helpful. We usually come out once a year for a Halloween convention and we will definitely be coming back when we are in town.

Black-owned swank. HUGE selection¹ of micro-brews in single cans & bottles so you don't have to buy a $20 4-6pk just to interview new, intriguing flavor. The bar only serves a limited selection of beers and wines by the glass (but you can purchase anything in the store– the bottles of wine, beer, port, sherry, gin, whisky, etc– and open it up and serve yourself a at the bar, as long as you've brought *your own* glass to do it).

Anyway: knowledgeable, friendly staff, clean and swanky environs. Go to Hop Shop and treat yourself friend, you've earned it. 🥂

¹ Don't expect everyday mass market brands like Bacardi or Jack Daniels or Budweiser or Franzia here as Hop Shop is strictly about the more gourmet selections; most spirits genres are represented, just from more boutique makers, brewers, distillers. So, bring your best wallet game!

Great craft beer selection and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Wonderful neighborhood vibe in the ever-changing Cherokee neighborhood. Really great place to enjoy a drink or two and purchase more for home. We will definitely be back!

Met them for the first time at the Festival of Nations this past week. They were so kind and informative. I didn't want an alcoholic drink and was looking for hop water (for the herbal benefits) and they had one!! It was fantastic.

Bruv, this will be my go to although I live across the river. Wide selection, good vibes, crazy mix of locals and the first time I went the guest DJ was spinning Jazzanova!

I have been buying the best beers you can get your hands on here since their opening! Justin and Ryan both offer amazing customer service, a high quality product, and an atmosphere every beer shop should strive for. Looking for a special beverage to celebrate an event? St. Louis Hop shop is a Cherokee Street staple. They not only provide the best hops in town but the vibe is always good as soon as your walk in the door. Mr. Hop Shop(Justin-Owner) is super knowledgable of every drink in the space and can give bomb recommendations for any occasion. I love coming here for events or just to sit at the bar and have a nice hop at the shop lol. A must -go if you visit Cherokee st.

They are always so spot on with beer recommendations but today they killed it! My all time favorite place to get beer. The two guys who run the place are amazing!

This place is snugly located on Cherokee street and Jefferson. if you blink you could miss it but it is definitely worth the visit. They have a wide variety of locally crafted micro and craft beers and a decent selection of spirits that you can buy and try. Stopped by this place after having tacos on the strip. The beers on tap are unique and awesome in each of their own way. The bartender is knowledgeable and friendly so make sure you treat them well and support local business.

Great place to learn about beer and the brewing process, as well as enjoy one. Excellent beer selection both on tap and on the shelves. The owners are incredibly friendly, and can often be seen helping people pick things out. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere very cool; highly recommended to anyone searching for a unique beer experience in STL. This is now my go-to for my beer needs!
