City Museum & Washington Avenue Parking St Louis

This is the coolest and best place I've ever visited. There is so much to explore and if you have toddlers there is a toddler section for fun! I remember going on the tallest biggest slide, I waited 30 minutes... totally worth it!!! So much cool findings and definitely worth your money, from the rooftop you can see the arch! Overall nothing was broken or hurt in my family!!

Do not miss it! This is not a museum, it's a gigantic interactive playground. Don't get me wrong, there are some exhibits, but they are lost among the myriad of themed play areas designed by local artists from recycled materials. Don't expect your standard monkey bars, see-saws and swing sets. At City Museum children can literally disappear into the walls and emerge from the ceiling or floor. A giant fish tank mesmerizes young and old while a ten story slide offers seemingly endless thrills. There is as much to do indoors as outdoors so weather is not an issue. If you are looking for an activity that will delight a two year old, a twelve year old and a twenty-two year old then this is your place. I have spent three days here and I still haven't seen everything there is to do. They also serve decent food and alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices. City Museum is a "must do" activity for any family that likes to have fun together.

First time visiting and my kids, ranging from 2-10 , LOVED this place. Something for me each kid (and parents) to do! I wish our museum was more like this closer to home. We will def be back!

The creativity and sense of adventure is embedded in all aspects of this unique building. I spent several hours there crawling underneath tunnels in the floor, running through a makeshift parkour/skate park. I could not have wished for a better time with my young family and friends and it made me feeling like a child again myself!

Well worth it! Plan to spend the day!

Awesome, unique, interactive museum!

Very compact venue for the amount inside. Expect to wait in lines for slides. My granddaughter waited 20 minutes for the big slide. Definitely don't recommend for kids under 3 or 4. Limited areas to explore for the younger kids considering the admission

It was neat, but there were so many people! Museum is a bit misleading as it’s mostly a gigantic jungle gym (which was awesome! But packed with so many people). There are a few exhibits packed away in small rooms and many other rooms were under construction. Kids 7-10 will love it. Their parents will likely be looking for the bar (there’s a bar).

Pay by the hour parking

This parking lot deceptively markets itself as being associated with the Museum. The parking attendant there,who identified himself as James, didn’t even know how to process payment. Do NOT park here: there is much cheaper, attended parking right across the street from the museum. This is a very unethical business — do NOT park here!!!

30 bucks just to park on a Sunday!!!

A hustle. Avoid the pink parking lot!
