Mama Ricotta's

Mama Ricotta's is the best Italian I've had in YEARS.
As soon as I stepped in the doors you could smell all the delicious food that they have to offer. I was greeted by very friendly staff, the hostess, server and manager were all excellent!
Now the food, I started with the Wagyu Meatballs and let me say, these paired with the tomato sauce were absolutely delicious, I've never had a better meatball. The ravioli was fairly good albeit I'm not a big fan of ravioli. I got the lasagna and it was so good, large portions and everything tasted home made and fresh. Highly recommend making reservations on a weekend. Despite being busy our server Alex was great! Food was fresh and great quality. Large portions- come hungry! Everything we had from the pizza to the pasta to the cocktails and desserts were delicious!

After a hectic day at work... I decided to treat myself out. I made a perfect choice! Mama Ricotta's was very, very worth it. There was a calm, relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. All of the staff was welcoming and friendly. Even though it was getting a little busy, my server, Renata, and others were very attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better time for my mini getaway from the everyday hustle & bustle from work before getting home.

We came for dinner for a personal celebration! We ordered a large pizza, the special John and a pasta dish! They were both amazing and a perfect amount of serving! We also ordered a chocolate cake for dessert which was to die for! I would recommend anyone to come out and try their food.

I came here looking for Fettuccine Alfredo but it wasn’t on the menu. Our sever said they would make it for me however I wanted it!!
I added spinach and Parmesan crusted chicken. Absolutely delicious. We also had meatballs and their bread. We opted to walk back to the hotel we were so stuffed. Loved it!!

Our server jasmine was really helpful and informative.
Scanned the menu, ordered negroni and martini as cocktail and for main course: pepperoni pizza and penne alla vodka.
Everything came out quick, drinks and food both were 10/10.
Finished with tiramisu 😋😋😋( note: their portion size is really hefty, they dont hold back)
Shout out to their quick service and very comfortable seating.

Carl, our server, was great. His recommendations were ideal for us. I had the ravioli special, my guest the bacon, cheese pannini. All excellent. The experience was like being with family. Must give this business a try.

We had exceptional service we locked in the door. Sat right down and started enjoying the awesome bread and olive mix. Smiles were abundant and they were happy to see us. We got there around 5:30 which we were told was a good time before the big crowd came.

The food was really good and hot when it arrived. Portions were well balanced but still a lot of food. First time in a while we took leftovers home. We didn't have room for dessert.

Stopped in here today after going to the doctor. The prices for lunch are very good and the bread with the oil and red pepper was the perfect combination. The girl we had for our waitress was so sweet and seemed happy to be there. It has a very warm feeling when you come in. I had the chicken and broccoli pasta! The pasta was by far one of the most flavorful and best pastas I have ever had! I will be back!

Great service and environment. Best intalian food tasted so far in life. Would recommend this Italian restaurant. It was worth driving 1 hour and half.

I had my Birthday/Gender reveal dinner here last night and they did such an amazing job taking care of us! Not only that but the food was great. Also all the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend.

Our first time here while visiting in town and food was amazing! Portions are very generous and the staff was excellent. Our server Lauren was on top of it all! So quick, kind and excellent with small children.

Manager Brian was fantastic to help resolve a seating situation that was beyond his control. The large party before us took an extended period dining and seating a large party of 10 is hard. He attempted to find alternative seating for us even. He checked on us constantly during the meal even! Great management skills!

Exquisite! We love Italian food and have been wanting to visit Mama Ricotta's forever and finally made it happen - the best decision we've made!

The appetizer was the toasted bread with Goat Cheese Dip (very creamy and tasty). We each ordered the Italian Sangria to sip, which was a fantastic choice. They serve rolls & oil with seasonings at every table that are melt-in-your mouth good. We took our Nutella Pie dessert to-go because we did not want to miss out but were too filled up on delicious bread and pasta to eat in.

Came in for a light lunch and were very pleased. We had been test riding Electric Bike's at Charlotte Cycles right behind Mama Ricotta's. Mary at Charlotte Cycles recommended. So glad she did. Our server, Shanee, was excellent. We split a Mama's Chicken Salad ( huge portions) for the 2 of us. Came with a Mama' salad on the plate and bought an extra Mama's salad. Ice teas to drink that were delicious. Had been quite a while since we had visited here. Comfortable seating. Nice and cool inside on this hot summer day. Unfortunately out of sight, out of mind restaurant. Glad we came in. We'll definitely be back. I'd recommend.

The food at Mama Ricotta’s was exceptional. Never have I ever been to a restaurant that featured an abundance of menu options and a high quality of tasting food. “Olive Garden” is next to nothing; when compared to Mama Ricotta’s. The alcoholic portion of the menu also featured many options of wine and other drinks. Invite your loved ones out for a night to eat and make memories. The food is reasonably priced and the servers give great service. 10 out of 10.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at "Mama Ricotta’s," an Italian restaurant located in the heart of the city. As an avid fan of Italian cuisine, I was excited to try this establishment, and I must say, it did not disappoint.

Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at " Mama Ricotta’s" offered a wide range of traditional Italian dishes, and each one was made with meticulous attention to detail. I started with the Caprese salad, which was a delightful combination of fresh buffalo mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and fragrant basil. The flavors were simple yet vibrant, and the quality of the ingredients was evident.

Since I moved to Charlotte this has been the restaurant I recommend for everyone to try! I don’t think I’ve had a bad experience here. From the drinks to the apps to the pizza to the pastas—everything is top notch. Our server Jackie was attentive and so was the manager on duty! We tried all new dishes and to our not surprise loved all of them! A staple for sure!

I’ve heard about this place from friends and family and last week we finally got a chance to dine in. I still can’t believe that I lived in Charlotte for over 30 years and this was my first visit! What an experience!!!! We were there with a large group (12 people) and pressed for time to make it to ABBA tribute concert that started at 8. Our reservations was for 5:30 pm, and our waitress was AMAZING! I’m a little too embarrassed not to remember her name, but she rocked our table! I heard from others that she worked there a long time. The food was incredibly delicious and they serve handmade fresh pasta made in house! The ambiance of this restaurant was very cozy with polished wood finished walls, vintage family photos displaced on the walls, gives you a vibe of authentic Italian house dining room experience! I will be back!!!!

WOW! This was amazing, I travel and am in a different city everyday. I eat Italian 3 to 5 times a week. I stumbled across this place and I was pleasantly pleased. Service was quick meal was hot and delicious.

Came here to Celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Having a reservation on a Saturday was super clutch. We avoided having to wait to be seated. Our waitress Lauren was Awesome! She gave us some great suggestions to try out. The Overall experience was fast paced but pleasant. Definitely will be back
