Mayo Ketchup

Mayo Ketchup has some amazing bowls. We tried the topical bowl and the Pernil. Their pulled pork is very tender, juicy, seasoned well but not overly salty. If meat isn’t your thing, they offer jackfruit as a substitute. I really appreciate how their meals are a great balance of fresh flavors. Definitely try the fried plantains if they don’t already come with your meal. They have a subtle flavor and a nice texture. Definitely a nice change from the standard fried sides you can find around town.

The front seating area is smaller but they have a larger area in the back with a ton of natural light, so don’t let the view from the street make you think it’s too busy to try. It’s also pretty family friendly. FYI there’s a bit of a step up to get inside, and the back room seating is down several stairs.

Overall I’d recommend them for a nice casual and unique dining experience.

I got the Jibarito with Pork, and it was so good! It held together very well and wasn't messy. The use of mashed plantains as a bun was novel and very tasty, and the pork itself was excellent.
The decor was colorful and nerdy, featuring some neat little nods to He-Man 😁

Very authentic with a modern twist of serving as bowls or bread free with plantain bread. The flavor of the ropa vieja was very authentic creole Cuban food with the salty vinegar bite of green olives. Casual and friendly environment. I was so happy they had vegeterian options which is also very modern for Cuban restaurants. Would be amazing if they try making jackfruit ropa vieja that would be great.

Sensational. Invited to go with friends and honestly, the best lunch spot I could recommend for catching up with your friends. The good was great, the vibe was immaculate, and honestly - Imma be back for more! I had the Cubano and some cheese empanadas that were fire. We took home plantains and they were even super accommodating with our To Go order. I was blown away by the service and experience as a whole. I can't wait to come back.

Tried this spot for the first time today, and WOW!! I had the steak and cheese sandwich. It had sooooo much flavor. I am definitely going back again. Thank you for a delicious sandwich!!

I've been to Mayo Ketchup twice now on the recommendation of a Puerto Rican coworker. The first time, I forgot to take pictures, so I came back a few weeks later.

I got the Puerquito sandwich, and it was delicious! I also got the small sampler. I'm not familiar with this kind of food, so I had no clue what was what, but it was all fantastic! I would highly recommend giving Mayo Ketchup a try for Puerto Rican cuisine.

Great food! There are lots of great choices and the service was super quick! Can't wait to go again!

I came here with a friend for lunch while we were visiting Saint Louis. We were looking for a nice local spot to stop at and this was definitely a great place to choose. While they were out of pork when we came, we were able to get some other unique sandwiches that were full of flavor. We left satisfied without really wanting or needing anything else, and that’s about all you can ask for. I would definitely come back to try some of their other sandwiches or bowls.

So great to have something so unique as a lunch option. Love these people, love their food, love Lafayette Square. Have been here many times and always look forward to going back.

We were looking for a place for dinner and found Mayo Ketchup. We tried a medium sampler platter, all of the samplers were so tasty. Our group ordered 4 bowls and they were all good. If I lived in St Louis, I would go back regularly.

We need this restaurant to make it to my hometown of Indianapolis, please! This restaurant is absolutely delicious and the staff are so friendly. We had the pollo guisado as well as the ropa vieja bowl and let me tell you, it was one of the best meals I've had during my trip to St. Louis! We also had jugo de parcha (or maracuyá, depending on where you're from... Passion fruit works, too). Everything took me back to my childhood. La música estuvo brutal. Nos encantó and if we are ever back in town, no doubt, we will definitely make it back.

OMG, I have been looking for a latin food restaurant that I love. I am puertorican and I decided to try Mayo Ketchup delivery. I am not kidding, this is the first time that I received a plate delivered to me exaclty like the website picture, and delivered fast, and when I went ahead to eat, it was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for the excellence in providing what I wanted. Boricua!!

First time here and the place impressed me and the pernil and arroz con gandules bowl 🍲 was on the money also the sorullitos and tostones I give them a 8.5 great experience

This place is so yummy! The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. I loved the back dining area with the giant windows and all of the fun wall decor. The jibarrito and plantains were very delicious. Highly recommend!

Went for the first time after enjoying stroll in Lafayette neighborhood and saw this place. Latin food is so comforting and they definitely don't disappoint. The plantain chips are addicting and the bowls are fresh made and amazing. So full of flavor. I will be going back frequently. Love supporting local.

We had dinner at Mayo Ketchup last night and really enjoyed our meal and the restaurant. The food was amazing. We stared by sharing a beef empanada, which was a nice starter. I had the Pernil bowl, and it was delicious with very generous portions. My son had the La Tripleta sandwich, which he really liked and, again, very generous portions.
The restaurant was clean, and the service was prompt and friendly.

Delicious food, great fun atmosphere. Perfect for a date or friendly hangs with a few (4 or less) people. Not huge inside but not cramped either. Honestly excited to go back. Was in a real avocado & plantain mood, next time I'll probably be a bit hungrier. 😋

Had a craving for PuertoRican food today and searched my Google maps… decided to give Mayo Ketchup a try. Even called ahead to make sure they had Malta India which they did. Service was welcoming and very friendly. Concept was awesome, offerings were generous to say the least but most of all delicious. My wife is vegan and had many options to pick from. Highly Recommended!!!

Wow! Even though I ordered TAKEOUT, the flavor of the food was awesome! I am certain that it would have been even more spectacular had I chose to dine in! Tostones con Aguacate = fresh flavors, crispy plantain cracker and deliciousness! El Cubano sandwich = nothing to say but SUPER YUMMY!

Second best meal in St. Louis. Don't let the name fool you. Sweet little casual spot with Puerto Rica food that is pretty damn tasty. I was pleasantly surprised.
