Did trivia, it was good fun, I little too loud but still manageable and able to talk with friends. Had hockey on so good place to have a drink and watch sports. A lady was selling food while trivia. Recommended for trivia on Tuesday around 7:30pm

We went on a saturday afternoon. This is a really nice neighborhood bar. The service was friendly and fast.

Maybe my favorite bar? No food, no beer on tap, but a great selection of local beers and a comfortable if noisy atmosphere. The decor is the real star here. It's largely unchanged from its previous life as a working-class neighborhood bar, and the paintings behind the bar take you on quite the journey.

Great prices! We love going to meat bingo and trivia. They have darts, too!

This local piano bar has a great bartender that provided great service. In a safe area. Piano players are Thu -Sat. Atmosphere was welcoming. Bathrooms could use some updating, but overall a great place to hang out, relax and drink a few.

I love a good dive bar! Especially one that offers trivia and hard cider. The staff and customers were friendly. It was a fun, casual environment. I will definitely be going back to hang out and more trivia. Other bars have a more professional trivia set up, but I find The Hideaways trivia equally enjoyable. But I don't take it too seriously. If you won't be drinking more than one or two drinks, I suggest bringing cash. There is a minimum for credit card transactions.

So I've only been here once... but everything went well. Keep in mind, however, I also ordered no food (though a friend did order a small pizza and loved it). Atmosphere felt almost like I went to a block party. Everyone was friendly and the hockey game was on when I arrived. They were in good spirits. Bartender was quick and very kind. They had live music, and the musician for that night was an excellent keyboardist. I could have listened to him for much longer than my brief stay. Beer price was fair for what I had/saw.

Great little place with nicely priced drinks and super friendly staff! We went for our second time last night and will definitely be back. I like the mix of local and big brand beers. And the bartender makes great shots!

Can't beat the prices. And who doesn't love a dive piano bar. Always a good time for interesting conversations with interesting people. Never know what's in store for ya at this place. But one thing is always for sure, it's always big fun at the hideaway. I've honestly never had a bad night here. It's always been lots of fun.

Great dive bar! No beer on tap but plenty of cans and bottles. Also no food except for pizza. The awesome bartender told us to feel free to bring food or to order something to be delivered. We were there on trivia night (only ok trivia) but can't wait to go back some night when someone is on the piano!

This place is one of the best kept secrets of STL. If you want great drinks with an excellent bar owner this is the place! And not to mention the greatest thing since sliced bread Earth, Wind and Ollie! Oliver Johnson made our whole night!! He is definitely the life of the party. He played Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Earth Wind and Fire, Etta James and much more! The piano skills and trumpet just blew us away! I HIGHLY recommend going you will have a great time!

A gem of a local spot that you almost don't want to tell anyone about because it's great just as it is right now. That is not to say it doesn't get busy, because it does, but the crowd is typically the 'good ol' friendly bunch and the piano/live performers are a great addition. It used to be a smoking bar and you can tell it was, but it's not overbearing so don't let it dissuade you from stopping by.

Super nice bartender, nice patio that plays the jukebox selections outside, TJ's Pizza, and you can bring in your own food. Great place to watch a game or just hang with friends. I need to go back a night they're playing piano!

Not sure what Adam is talking about but the fine folks at Hideaway have taken every measure to ensure the safety of their guests and staff. I say that first because until a week ago they have been closed and recently only open for private party/reservation of no more than 20 in the building and outside should weather permit. I’ve seen the staff be extremely strict about this rule. No entertainment has been booked or promoted. No food has been offered to be served (shout out to TJ’s Pizza). Adam, you clearly don’t hang at a lot of south city bars. This place is a gem and your poor and untrue review hurts the livelihood of people who have done nothing but taken every measure to ensure safety and their continued success. No need to leave an untrue and negative review to hurt a community landmark. Thanks the most to the owners and employees of this place who are doing what they can to ensure we all can begin to enjoy our favorite dive again in safety. Take a hike Adam.

Great sports atmosphere for NFL Sundays! It's the only Cleveland Browns backer bar that I know of in the St. Louis metro area. On Sunday, 11/3/2019, they offered complimentary Domino's pizza, nachos with jalepenos, dried & seasoned pumpkin seeds, a "tower of power" Bloody Mary bar with tons of delicious toppings, and buckets of Natty Light bottles (6) for only $10 bucks. I'll definitely be back wearing my Browns gear proudly!

A gem on the hill. Great piano bar, excellent piano player, friendly locals, very competent bartender with good beer selection. Clean and well maintained. Room for dancing. A must after dinner on the hill.

Quirky with a great vibe. It was the perfect, cozy place to dive into on a rainy night. Bartender was cordial, and the drinks were very reasonably priced. Loved the live music!
