Cajun Queen

What a wonderful way to spend our Anniversary. We had such a great time. First the Valet service attendant west was so polite. Then we sat upstairs were they was playing live music. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. I loved all the New Orleans decor. My husband just got back from New Orleans for my birthday so we felt like we was right back lol. The food was good. We had the fried fish platter with beans and rice and our hostess Samantha was so helpful being this was our first visit. We will be returning and thanks to my sis Vanessa for the recommendation 💕

One of the best Cajun place in Charlotte area PERIOD.. Excellent food choices as well as liquor. nice place to have friendly gatherings. limited parking space; but, plenty of free parking across the street.

My sister had the shrimp and grits. Thr blackening seasoning on the shrimp had a kick which was too spicy for her but I thought the flavor was great. Mom got the chicken and shrimp Diane which was also quite spicy but delicious. I had the salmon special and it was out of this world!!!!!! The portions were huge and the service was great. Neat spot to check out if you are around. Be sure to make a reservation.

This is a 4.5 place! Solid 4 on the food. The portion size was awesome. The seasoning and stylare are very close to authentic.
We started off with amazing fried oysters. My wife had shrimp creole. I had the Shrimp Diane. The sauce was not the traditional cream sauce associated with "Diane."

Very promt on service and great atmosphere. Live jazz/blues band round out the this great experience. We will be back

Had an amazing time here and so thankful for the friendly staff that squeezed us in between reservations to celebrate a birthday! The atmosphere was so fun with live music and happy bellies. It was a bit close quarters but it didn't take away from the overall experience in my opinion. The food was top tier, full of great flavors and spice! And the cocktail drinks were SO tasty - my favorite was the Louisiana Lemonade. Will definitely be back to celebrate more birthdays in the future and will take advantage of the complementary valet !

This place has really delicious food. I had the Eggs Bendict with Crab Cakes and hash browns from the Brunch menu. The Crab Cakes were very tender and tasty.The hash browns were done just right. My friend had the Seafood Gumbo. The service was good. I like the fact that they have live jazz although they have not posted on their website when it is. I also like the fact that it is a date night place - which for me means you can dress up. I am sure I will be back.

Best oysters and BBQ shrimp in the state! Cozy atmosphere for date night, casual dining or family style. The jewel of Charlotte!

We enjoyed our New Years Eve dinner at Charlotte’s Cajun queen. I had not been there in several years but it was just as good as always. If you like a good Cajun meal, and can’t get to the Deep South, it’s the place to go.

I didn't have a reservation, but I was able to eat at the upstairs bar. A fabulous meal! I chose the blackened shrimp and grits, and the flavor profile was out of this world. I had the peach bread pudding for dessert. The three-piece jazz band added the finishing touch to a great night.

This was such an incredible discovery! The service was top-notch. They were more than happy to accommodate for our dog, allowing us to take our reservation at outdoor seating and bringing her a water bowl. Angela was our server and she was phenomenal! She was fun, cheery, attentive, and personable, and she helped us out with plenty of food and drink recommendations.

I got a medium rare ribeye - perfectly cooked, super tender, and altogether delicious! If you're like me and you're not a big seafood person but everyone else in your party wants to go to a seafood place, there's still plenty of options here for you.

If you're looking to treat yourself to some fancy food in a semi-casual environment (no dress code - you can dress up or dress casual and still feel comfortable here either way), I'd highly recommend you give this place a try!

Wow! What an amazing, lively place! Great welcome from using their valet to the welcome at the door to great service while there. The food is authentic cajun and loved the live jazz music upstairs.

The Diane with mushrooms, green onions, chicken, shrimp, and crayfish tails over rice with Cajun seasoning was outstanding and that Bourbon Bread Puddinf was too die for!

This place was so cute and quaint. They offer valet parking. I sat upstairs at the bar so I could hear the band. The bartender was fabulous. He had a great personality and poured good drinks. The food was DELICIOUS!! I had the cajun pasta, and it was seasoned so well!! I would definitely come again

Excellent service. Food is absolutely delicious. Staff and management was extremely nice and attentive. They even comped my dessert when they found out I was celebrating my birthday solo. I wish I could give an extra point for that gesture. Will definitely come back on my next visit to N.C.

My dad, daughter and I came here for Mother’s Day. We all LOVED our meals! We started with fried green tomatoes which were excellent. That sauce!! I got the shrimp and grits which was delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. My daughter got the Cajun pasta. The sauce was creamy and just perfect over the tortellini, chicken and vegetables. Finally, my dad ordered the fried oysters which is his favorite restaurant meal. He’s 82 years old and said these were the best oysters he’s EVER had!! We finished with the Oreo cheesecake for dessert which was creamy and a perfect end to our meal. Our server - I believe her name was Jasmine, was friendly, attentive and helped to make this a perfect Mother’s Day!

Went here for my birthday and loved everything! I had the shrimp and grits and gumbo, my husband had the Diane, everything came out great and delicious ! Definitely a place to eat in Charlotte! We plan to go back soon!

Our first time and we will definitely be back!! They were running a little behind on reservations but we went upstairs and had a drink at the bar while we waited and the bartender was top notch. We were seated in less than 10 min and we were seated outside on the deck and it couldn't have been a more perfect night for it. We ordered the cajun popcorn, a cup of gumbo, shrimp & grits and the combo etoufee which ALL were delicious with awesome flavor. The etoufee had a nice amount of heat with an amazing depth of flavor. 10/10 would recommend

this is one of the best Cajun food restaurants I have ever been to. It is New Orleans in Charlotte. The food dishes were excellent. The waiter was wonderful and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely.

Yesterday morning my husband and I had the absolute pleasure of dining here. McGregor provided impeccable service! He was so genuinely kind, was very knowledgeable, and provided one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The food was amazing and the portions were plentiful! We are already planning to visit Charlotte again in the near future to dine here again. Thank you all! If it’s your first time I highly recommend starting with the bbq shrimp and fried oysters.

Wanted to try something new for my husband's birthday. We had never been before and just happened to go dring restaurant week and the Queen's feast. We were there a bit early for our reservation so we went upstairs for a drink. Got seated a few minutes before our reservation which is always nice. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful and we got and extra dessert to take home for the birthday boy 😁. Highly recommended and will definitely be going back.
