The shrimp and grits were excellent. Full-size shrimp in creamy grits with bacon, tomatoes, and onions, and a little spiciness, would highly recommend. Came with a toasted biscuit which was also very good. Others in our group all enjoyed their meal. The burgers on the menu also looked very good but didn’t try. Great breakfast spot but busy so plan accordingly.

The wait as other reviews said is well worth it. The food delicious, hot and fresh. We had breakfast. Chilling Larry our server was amazing. Thank you for a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend Angie’s Lighthouse Cafe!

I can't recommend this place enough! The food is outstanding, the staff is genuinely friendly and the environment is very pleasant. My husband and I both ordered omelets and they were both loaded with veggies, meat and cheese. So delicious. The biscuits were a very generous size and the hashbrowns were just right. Definitely order the sweet tea as they make theirs just right.

This place lives up to their Google reviews. We had a 40 minute wait time (understandable) and it was worth it. Food was great 10 out of 10 and full of flavor. Crab cakes were on point. Shrimp and Grits were full of flavor. Our server John is what made the experience, if I could give 10 stars I would. Very attentive and kept refilling without us asking.

Where to start? Amazing food. We went at their busiest time so no surprise we had to wait but completely worth it. Had John as our server 10/10. Drinks never went less than half full, personality, and even got down on the floor to help clean up after my daughter spilled her drink. We are local and somehow never been here before but will definitely be back regularly.

Great local Americana breakfast venue. Fantastic fluffy omelets and enormous portions of waffles, pancakes, and eggs. Proprietor is quite active which no doubt assures the high quality.

This is a fantastic little diner! 1st stop in and last stop out every time we're in town. Depending on the time of year and the time of the week you may have a bit of a wait but it is certainly worth it. We love their country sausage links and also the chicken fried chicken and gravy! But have seen so many delicious looking dishes there.. Breakfast and lunch. And where else are you going to find a one pound Burger… i mean come on! You won't be disappointed… but your diet will get left at the door lol

Excellent experience. Waitresses was super accomodating, friendly and helpful! By far my favorite restaurant by Emerald Isle. Only thing that'd make give it 6 stars is of they had maple syrup but we understand you gotta make decisions to keep this at the price point it was at! That was another pro is that it was better value/$ compared to some of the other places we been!

Our lunch experience was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food had great taste and was seasoned just right. Overall it’s clear that this restaurant loves making and serving food. That extra love and effort shows. I highly recommend this place.

We come to the Outer Banks once a month and love trying new places to eat. Found this little honey hole and boy did it hit the spot! If you're looking for some good ol' country food like Grandma used to make, this is the place for you! The shrimp and grits were OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!😋 We also ordered French toast with bacon, homemade biscuits and gravy, the lighthouse beacon special with city ham, pancakes with strawberries, eggs sunny side up lookin' back at'cha, hash browns, and last but not least fried okra bc who goes to a Mom and Pop's joint without getting that!?! Every single thing we ordered was cooked to perfection, even down to the coffee and sweet tea lol! We felt very welcomed and at home. Ask for "Aunt Kathy with a K"! She has a beautiful smile, amazing personality, and will make you feel like you fit right in. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. We will definitely be going back! 🥰 Thanks y'all! Till next time! ~Alexis and Ryan 🌺

A hidden gem in Carteret county. As someone who grew up in PA, I know and love diners. Angie’s reminds me of a diner with a wide range of amazing comfort foods. A couple of my favorites are the Chicken Fried Chicken and Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger. My wife is a breakfast fan and here you can order breakfast anytime. Her go to is the Shrimp and Grits which she pretty much orders every time. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. You can hear banter going back and forth as the customers and staff openly converse. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. I highly recommend Angie’s as it has become our go to restaurant close to home.

Angie's Lighthouse Café came as highly recommended from friends that I was visiting in the area, and their recommendation definitely didn't disappoint. Angie's is a homey, busy little joint just off the coast that provides a family-friendly atmosphere - all while serving up absolutely delicious homecooked meals including selections of seafood and comfort food. Not to mention, oh boy, those cheesy grits.

Setting the cheesy grits fantasy aside, Angie's sets forth some very fair pricing on all of their delicious meals - whether it be breakfast staples like omelets, or more lunch-oriented options like wraps and seafood platters. I decided to go down the route of a pseudo-shrimp-and-grits by picking out a seafood platter with their scrumptious crab cake and perfectly fried large shrimp alongside cheesy grits. At this point, I entered a food coma. But everything tasted fresh and was obviously prepared very well, while the friendly service capped off the at-home feel.

So you don't get any better than this little gem for small town, friendly and flavorful home cooking. I frequent this cozy cafe mostly during the off-season to avoid the droves of tourists that have figured this used to be locals establishment out. But even on occasion, I'll take my chances and venture in during tourist season just because it's worth the wait and the hassle of long waits to eat here. The service staff is always friendly and eager to serve. Smiles are guaranteed, welcomed greetings as well as thankful for customers patronage farewells. Food has grand portions, and you surely won't mind the bill at the end because you could be hauled out with a wheel barrel because you ate so much. I recommend this place to foodies who love quaint and great all at the same time. John and his crew have made this place a stopping point on everyone's menu map.

Highly recommended! Delicious breakfast, their hashbrowns were really good, as well as their fresh biscuits and bacon, the best I’ve had in a while. They were a little busy around 10:30am, I don’t think they take reservations, but I got seated fairly quick and their customer service was superb! 10/10
